Copper Beech is custom-built for a wide range of nursing care and residential needs, these can include post-operative care, convalescence, dementia and palliative care. Respite and long-term care packages are put together by experienced professionals and tailored to individual requirements.

A purpose-built property has modern safety features, underfloor heating and is wheelchair accessible. Comfortable furniture is colour coordinated and the patio and garden areas are great for relaxing in.

As an enhanced service to the residents, weekly GP visits are conducted at Copper Beech Care Home, enabling residents to receive regular, personalised medical reviews as part of the person-centred care.

The home prepares delicious meals and snacks for residents to enjoy in the social dining area or in the comfort of the privacy of the resident's room. There are always plenty of favourites on the menu, but the staff also talk to each resident on arrival about likes and dislikes, and any special dietary requirements.

An active lifestyle is supported, with carers helping residents to access the hobbies and interests that inspire them and there are many activities to take part in such as arts and crafts, bingo and games.

My late mother passed away peacefully at Copper Beech in December 2022 after being a full-time resident there since 2019. We had a very smooth transition into the home as we had used Copper Beech for respite care when my mother lived with my sister and we knew it was the right place for her to go once
her dementia became difficult and risky to deal with in the home environment.
Mum enjoyed the really good food and afternoon tea and cake and got involved with the activities the home organised with other guests and the lovely staff.
We could go in and see her anytime, and pre-Covid it was a wonderful set-up for her.
During Covid of course it was very restrictive, but the home did everything they could and my sister had some access during that very difficult time.
Post Covid my mother's dementia was steadily worsening and this made life more difficult for the staff looking after her, however, they did their utmost to ensure Mum was happy and comfortable before sadly she left us.

My mother died on 29th March 2023, having been a Copper Beech Care Home resident since January 2018. She suffered with extreme dementia, with limited mobility for most of her stay at the care home.
My mother was treated with respect throughout her time at Copper Beech and I have nothing but praise
for the staff and managers who looked after her.

My friend moved into Copper Beech Care Home in May last year and was made very welcome by all of the staff. She was not very mobile but whenever I visited she was always comfortable and the staff did their utmost to get her out of her room and join in the activities. They weren't always successful
but whenever they were she enjoyed herself immensely. The patio area is very pleasant and I was able to bring my labrador to the home when it was warm enough to sit outside, which my friend loved. Thank you to everyone for making her time there as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

My uncle needed urgent care and was extremely fortunate to be offered a place at Copper Beech.
He received exceptional care from all the staff who are so kind and caring. Nothing was too much trouble and I will always be thankful to them.
It is such a clean, bright and friendly atmosphere in the
home. The rooms are so homely and well-equipped. Every need is met.

Staff are, on the whole, very good but bank staff often do not speak English well - very difficult for elderly people. Activities need to take everyone's disabilities into account. Cleaners need more time to be thorough - chair seats are dirty etc. Understaffed so details are being missed - residents
with dirty nails, always in a hurry not able to spend time with the residents who really need to talk. Not overly impressed with the doctor. The bedrooms are too small, the bathroom is poky - a toilet that has not flushed properly since the day my father arrived and still doesn't! Replacement lift saga!

I find the staff of Copper Beech Care Home to be amazing. They really do care for the residents. The activities are brilliant and very varied, including a visit from a shetland pony. I do think their rooms are too small considering how much time they spend indoors.

My husband recently went into Copper Beech Care Home for two weeks respite with a view to his stay becoming permanent.
I cannot praise all the staff highly enough. They have made a very stressful decision so much easier to bear. The care, compassion and understanding we have both been shown have been
exceptional.
My husband speaks of the kindness and good care shown to him each time I visit. He also enjoys the meals and excellent entertainment.

We would certainly recommend Copper Beech Care Home for many reasons! My mother has been there for around two and a half years through the pandemic.
She needs 24/7 care and support as she has severe dementia and her needs have been completely catered for.
She is treated with dignity and receives exemplary
care. We feel very lucky to have found Copper Beech.
She is safe and secure in her environment and although my mother can't use the activities, they are there for others.
We are delighted with the amazing, dedicated staff who go way and beyond.

A care home had to be found for my mother in August of this year. We found the home to be clean, light and airy. The staff are wonderful. They are all so friendly and great with the residents. Very happy with the home and, most of all, Mum is being well looked after.

My mother has been a resident at Copper Beech for over four years after her two previous care homes closed. During this time, she has been treated with respect and shown love and kindness. She has not wanted to go into hospital during her many illnesses, preferring to stay where she is well cared for.
The staff have kept me informed whenever she has been unwell and supported me during these times. I have complete peace of mind knowing that she is in very safe hands. My love and thanks from all of her family for the wonderful care of a very special, amazing lady.

My Grandmother has been at Copper Beech Care Home for the last couple of months. She has enjoyed the activities with other residents, loves the food and the staff are caring, patient and friendly. She has lots more to look forward to everyday. She is the happiest I have seen her for ages.

If you’re looking for an excellent care home for a loved one, look no further!
We have recently had to make the difficult decision to move my grandmother into a care home. We chose Copper Beech Care Home and they’ve been exceptional.
From the moment we enquired, Copper Beech has been nothing short
of incredible. Nothing is too much bother and they constantly are striving for the absolute best.
The staff are absolutely amazing. They are so incredibly kind, genuine and caring that it feels they’re part of Grandmother’s family now. They are so wonderful with her and will do everything and anything for her.
Her room is absolutely beautiful, it’s so spacious and constantly kept immaculately clean. They allowed us to bring as much of my grandmother’s property as she wanted, which has really enabled the room to feel like hers.
The facilities are second to none and there is so much for my grandmother to do. We are thrilled with their care and would highly recommend them.

We moved Mum to Copper Beech when it was evident that her assisted living arrangement was no longer suitable.
We did considerable research before deciding on Copper Beech and have been delighted with the professionalism and care which has been afforded to our 93-year-old mum.
Nothing is too much
trouble and despite the enormous strain, which Covid has placed on the staff, any concerns about our mum's health and welfare have been attended to timely and with compassion.
Could not recommend highly enough.

When it became obvious that our mum needed full-time care it was a very hard decision to find the right home for her. After speaking to the manager at Copper Beech Care Home and hearing everything about the home we knew that this was the home for Mum. All the staff were so kind and caring and welcoming.
The girls on reception went out of their way to make sure we could visit Mum as often as we could. Mum was very happy there and the care and kindness that was shown to her was amazing and when sadly our mum passed away peacefully, the staff were so thoughtful and kind. We can't thank them all enough. We would highly recommend Copper Beech. It was everything that we hoped for and more for our mum.

I am very pleased with the care given to my mum, the staff are all kind and caring. She is well looked after. It has been a challenging year dealing with the Covid 19 pandemic. I feel that the home has made an extremely difficult situation run smoothly and provided excellent care for my mum.

We were very pleased with the whole process of booking my mother into Copper Beech Care Home. All the staff were very kind, helpful and supportive. My mum writes: "I would like to thank you and your charming staff for the very happy week I spent with you. The meals were varied and excellently cooked

My dad was fast-tracked to Copper Beech Care Home for palliative care. I can't thank them enough for the care to dad and myself in these very difficult times. With Covid restrictions, they let me be with dad twice to comfort and reassure him. Sadly dad only had ten days with them, but he was very well
looked after and they made sure he could watch his beloved horse racing, so thank you to them all.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2022

I have been working for Bupa since February 2022. I started as a peripatetic manager and I am currently working as the registered home manager at Copper Beech.


I have been working in the care sector for the last 20 years. I was always passionate about caring for people especially elderly vulnerable adults who really need support. As a result, I started to work in the care sector. I worked as a team leader, deputy manager, home manager and regional support manager for various organisations.


I have managed nursing homes, dementia residential homes and learning disability homes during my career and also worked as a regional support manager overseeing three nursing homes before I joined Bupa.


I really enjoy making a difference in and improving our residents' quality of life.


Outside of work, I am married with children. My hobbies include music and travelling. I like to play the guitar in my own time, travel to new places and spend time with my family.
