Our mother was a resident for almost a year. It only took a short time for her to call it her new home, where she felt settled, comfortable and safe. My sisters and I are were very impressed with the facilities, the cleanliness and professional care provided by all staff at the home. We also saw the impressive meals freshly prepared on site, where residents are able to choose from varied menus each day. Our mother certainly enjoyed the meals each day. We witnessed at all times how friendly, respectful and kind each patient is treated according to their own personal needs. There is always a lot of thought and care when arranging activities to ensure events are inclusive and stimulating for all. There is a real community feel to this nursing home where everyone, including visitors are friendly, caring and compassionate towards one another. Our mother died in the nursing home recently. The care provided by all the staff who cared for her during this time was exemplary. Thank you.

My father was a resident in his final weeks, and I cannot thank the team enough for the support and care they provided. Throughout his time, and especially during his end of life care, staff him and his family with utmost dignity and respect. They were kind patient and attentive to his needs, ensuring he was comfortable, clean and pain free. He died peacefully. Their compassion extended to the entire family at this difficult time. I highly recommend Lauriston to anyone looking for a safe environment for their loved ones

My mother who unfortunately doesn't like leaving her room is still asked by the team to join in the activities every time although she gives the same response they never give up hope on trying to encourage or persuade her.

Mum spent the last two years of her life as a resident at Lauriston. Like most people, she would have preferred to have remained at home but that was not possible. Lauriston was so welcoming, they really got to know mum. She had lost a lot of weight and was quite frail following a stay in hospital.The care she received soon had her on the mend. She put on weight and her mobility improved. She was encouraged to join in activities and be part of the community. She especially enjoying the regular visiting singers. Aside from the great atmosphere at Lauriston, it was the care, compassion and friendship she received from all the staff that made her stay there a happy one. In her last few months her needs increased and the care, compassion and nursing was second to none. When searching for a care home you can be taken in by glitz and glamour, however, if your loved one needs care and compassion, Lauriston is the place to choose. Fantastic caring staff who I can not praise or thank enough.

We were kept informed at all times when he was there and in his last hours, when we were at his bedside 24/7, the nurses ensured we were also ok and gave us food and drink.

Staff and leadership at Lauriston showed through their words and actions that they genuinely cared for my fathers well being during the last month of his life. Thank you.

My Mum spent almost two years at Lauriston in the dementia unit, after a long stay in hospital. It was such a relief when she arrived and the staff took over her care. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and they get to know residents and their relatives so well, they begin to feel like family. There is very low staff turnover. Mum was always treated with compassion and respect and was able to regain her dignity. She always looked well cared for and she enjoyed having her hair done. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff and they kept me fully informed about all aspects of her care. Lauriston is kept spotlessly clean. The rooms are comfortable. There is always an activity going on or an event to enjoy, provided by the activity co-ordinator, with the staff in the kitchen providing tasty treats for celebrations. Mum enjoyed the food, which was which was varied and nutritious. A safe and professionally run home. Mum could not have had better care. Thank you, Lauriston.

Would highly recommend . My mother is shown so much care consideration kindness and treated with respect at all times . I'm so happy we found this home as we can now relax knowing she is cared for 24/7 . We love going to visit her and seeing her happy in her new home .

The home has a good feel, is always clean and tidy with plenty of activities and good meals. I could ask no more for my much loved mother.

I'm so greatful to of found the Lauristons and am truely greatful to them. I work in care myself and can say how great they do as a home, as a group and individually.

The environment is light, bright and modern, and full use is made of the lovely garden spaces when the weather allows. The management and staff have gone to great lengths to provide the best quality of life for residents. Highlights have included Garden parties, musical entertainers, a music therapist, the Namaste multi-sensory room, church services on site, ducks & pets, facilitating really special birthday celebrations & family events and the Magazine.

After a recent unexpected hospital admission my dad was suddenly in a position whereby he needed urgent respite care. The Lauriston was recommended to me by a family member and I immediately contacted the manager who arranged a home visit to see dad with her senior nurse. Dad was very quickly assessed and moved in that day. It soon became apparent that dad needed full time care and we decided the Lauriston was the only place we wanted him to stay in. Dad has very complex needs and every single member of staff are amazing with him. They make him laugh and smile and I can honestly say I've never seen him eat so much ! It's like living in a posh hotel, with daily entertainment with lots to do, the gardens are lovely and the interaction the staff have with all the residents is just lovely to see. Dad wouldn't normally be one to mix with others, however he is thriving and even though he had a few teething problems, he is doing really well and this is only down to all the staff

The little things mean a lot, from the attention to detail with meals and afternoon treats, the birthday cakes/celebrations for everyone to the namaste sessions and entertainment and they also recognise and accommodate when people need some quiet time. The managers are always happy to listen, take on board and respond to any comments or suggestions. Placing your mum into the care of others is a very difficult thing to so, I am so pleased we found the perfect place for mum and her last few years are the best they can be.
