My sister is a resident at Sovereign Lodge and always says how content she is to be there and how well she is looked after. She enjoys the food, the company, the activities and entertainment. The staff always seem to be aware of her day to day situation and I am kept informed of any changes in her health,
her needs and her welfare. It is a great weight off my mind to know she well cared for, and treated with great patience, kindness, understanding and dignity. The home has a calm and relaxed atmosphere, and I have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

I'm finding Sovereign Lodge to be very caring and considerate. My husband has been here since April and he is being given such care by the nurses. All the team are so friendly, be it in the kitchen or nursing, all have time to talk to you. The activities staff are always thinking of new ideas and have

I currently have three members of my family in Sovereign Lodge. All their needs are catered for & nothing is too much trouble by the carers & management. The activities are varied & the activity staff excellent. Cannot rate them higher than 10 out of 10.

I always find the home to be relaxed and friendly with good accessibility to activities and garden. The staff are always available & accommodating and provide a cheerful atmosphere. There is always a good emphasis on safety without being regimental.

Soverign Lodge Care Home Eastbourne.
The Staff are so Lovely/Friendly. From the moment you arrive you feel a warm welcome. They are a family. Its wonderful to see how the staff are with the residents and their family. The home is clean and they staff couldn't do more for the residents or you. They

My experience of Sovereign Lodge is that it is a very caring, warm and friendly place. All the staff are amazing and really look after the residents well. Everyone is treated with kindness and dignity. It is a bright, cheerful environment and the numerous activities bring fun and laughter to all.
Everyone makes the effort to get to know the residents and their families and we are always greeted with a smile and warm welcome. All in all, if your loved one has to go into residential care, Sovereign Lodge is an excellent place to be.

It is a difficult decision to make when you need to put a loved one in a nursing home. You want to know you have chosen well. I was really pleased with Sovereign Lodge and I certainly had made the best decision for Mum. The staff are incredibly caring and kind. They always treated Mum with dignity.
The activity coordinators have so much energy and enthusiasm and ensured all residents are involved if that is what they want. There was a lot of variety of things for Mum to do. Mum was stimulated and that is what meant the most to me. I also wanted Mum to retain as much independence as possible and this was something the staff knew and supported Mum with. The management and team were caring and considerate, they were always willing to listen and accommodate my requests. As soon as you walk in the staff have a smile and greet you. I was always kept informed. I feel so lucky I found Sovereign for Mum, they provided her high quality care.

My mother has been a resident since September 2022 I have never had any issues regarding her care. Everybody at the home fare pleasant, friendly, engaging towards myself and my mother.
The offer plenty of activities to all who take part. Room chats each day for those who cannot participate no one is
left out. All staff are fantastic, food is hot and varied and presented well and plenty of it. The most important thing for me is my mother's care which it is outstanding.

Mum has been at Sovereign Lodge since July 2024, her recovery from a 2nd serious stroke has been amazing due to the care and attention from all the staff. From the beginning I have felt Mum has been well attended and safe which is a weight off my mind and as a result Mum is eating, drinking and able,
with help to now be a part of the activities in the lounge, being able to join Mum for lunch and help her eat has been good as she is more willing to enjoy her food. Overall Mum being at Sovereign Lodge has given Mum and me the hope of the best care for what is ahead.

Sovereign Lodge has a warm and caring environment. Staff are kind and considerate with my mum in particular and everyone generally. I cannot praise them enough. They provide the best care under sometimes, tricky circumstances.

Due to my mum's Dementia, she could no longer live in her own home so after much searching, we chose Sovereign Lodge Care Centre for my mum. I feel that this has certainly been the right choice and the right place for her. The staff are kind and caring and always attentive. My mum has settled in now
and has a lovely spacious room. The staff are so friendly and always at hand for any advice or questions.
There are always plenty of staff on duty and a nurse on duty 24 hours a day. There are activities each day and a lovely summer house in the garden if family want to come in and have private time. Communication is very good and the home works with you to make sure your needs are met.
Most importantly thank you to all the staff for being so caring.

administrator/receptionist for a different provider.

The favourite part of my working day is being able to help out with the team. Completing tasks and being ready to accept more. Meeting new people.


The biggest professional challenge in my current role was moving from a corporate company where I had been for 5 years to a smaller but growing company. Luckily enough, after a few weeks of intensive training, I was able to adapt and settle quickly into my new home. Thanks to the most friendly and accommodating staff/residents and relatives of Sovereign Lodge and those at our operations office Apex.


My biggest career highlight to date? I am quite happy to see the progression of my career over the span of six years.


Qualities that make me stand out are;
A good home manager must have good leadership and at the same time be caring and have a passionate heart. Time management is also very important.

The favourite part of my working day is putting a smile on people’s faces and making a difference. Giving residents something to look forward to.
My biggest professional challenge in my current role is being diverse in the role and giving a wide variety in the activity schedule; keeping it fresh and exciting. I am undertaking a Health Care Practitioner trainee role which I am very excited about and looking forward to the outcome.
