My father was very well cared for during the few months he was at Sovereign Lodge Care Centre. The staff were always very, very helpful and friendly. I found the whole team to be very organised and up to date with everything relating to the care of my father and worked with efficiency keeping me up
to date with everything aspect of his care. I would like to thank everyone who cared for my father and appreciate everything that was done to make the end of his life as comfortable as possible .

On each visit to see my dad I am always struck by the warmth shown by each and every staff member and their care which is exemplary. Every person is so kind and I am always put at ease. The lovely receptionist is so welcoming and always takes time to ask how I am. I feel so grateful and lucky that my

I have visited my Brother every week for the last few weeks, I have always been met by friendly staff. His room is spotlessly clean and comfortable. It really is a home-from-home. My Brother tells me the food is very good and although he cannot do all the activities he likes to watch. I cannot fault

All staff from the management, reception, nurses, carers, cleaners and activities coordinators are very welcoming and helpful. My relatives room is spacious, clean and homely. The garden pod is a useful meeting place that allows 'time out'. I would recommend this home.

Dad was admitted to Sovereign Lodge for end-of-life care, consequently, he was unable to use the facilities, access activities, or select food choices. He seemed to be treated with dignity whenever we visited. Dad stayed for approx. 4 weeks. Most of the final 2 weeks he was sleeping.

I cannot thank Sovereign Lodge enough for the amazing care they provided my dad. They were always so thoughtful, constantly thinking of his needs and making changes to improve his care and to keep the best quality of life possible. They treated him with so much respect and dignity, taking the time to
get to know him and his personality (in particular his sense of humour) in order to tailor the care to his particular needs. They offered help with making the room more homely by hanging pictures and rearranging the furniture and putting on events for families to be part of - we will always have a fond memory of the Easter Egg hunt they put on for the children visiting at Easter. The staff were always cheerful and made me and my family feel welcome and cared for, offering so much support to us as we dealt with the difficult changes.
I would highly recommend this care home to others.

I don't have enough words to thank everyone at Sovereign Lodge. All the staff showed my husband great kindness and respect without fail, regardless of which department they worked in. Both management and nursing care were excellent. They always made me and my family very welcome, were very supportive
and kept us well informed. They clearly understand the enormity of having to move a loved one into care and the importance of doing everything in their power to make their time there the best possible. Thank you!

Sovereign Lodge has proved to be 'Simply the best' in caring for my mum. All areas are clean and bright with warm colour schemes. The staff are cheerful and helpful. I always feel listened to and any concerns are discussed and acted upon. The chef is wonderful and the food is lovely, having had lunch
with Mum a number of times. Activities are varied to keep the residents fit, healthy and motivated both physically and mentally when able. Trips into the garden for fresh air are key and this is organised as frequently as possible. Different musician's visits are excellent and a sing along always popular. I appreciate the staff knowing who my mum is and calling her by name and having a chat, it makes residents feel loved and cared for as though they are part of a family that makes Sovereign Lodge the special place that it is.

Sovereign Lodge is a wonderful care home with approachable and caring staff who care for my dad's overall needs not just physical ones. When my dad entered the home he was very unsure and confused but the wonderful caring staff and overall facilities have enabled him to settle and feel safe and secure

Mum has a lovely room and says the nursing staff and carers are very kind and treat her with respect. She loves the activity coordinators who are so enthusiastic and have engaged her in exercise classes, music and face painting! Amongst many other things. She has been at the care home since March and
seems a lot happier. Family are always made very welcome too.

My friend has been looked after well with a mixture of allowing her to do her own thing and encouragement to do things that would be for her benefit such as having a shower when she needs it but isn't keen to cooperate. My friend is treated with care and respect and when it was her birthday the staff
had put up balloons and banners and there was a cake with a candle that a few of us shared with her and she enjoyed.

My father was a resident for three weeks having been in hospital for eight weeks. During this time, he was very well cared for, and the nurses were happy to discuss any concerns I had relating to his health.
The home is extremely welcoming and well-managed.

The improvement in my brother's condition since arriving is remarkable. He is in much better spirits, eating and drinking, which is important since he is bed-bound, and now watches the TV, uses a streaming service on his phone and has a much better quality of life than when in the hospital.
All of
the staff have been very friendly, helpful and caring, and the food is good, encouraging him to eat.
I hope the switch to digital records will allow relatives to see how he is doing.

administrator/receptionist for a different provider.

The favourite part of my working day is being able to help out with the team. Completing tasks and being ready to accept more. Meeting new people.


The biggest professional challenge in my current role was moving from a corporate company where I had been for 5 years to a smaller but growing company. Luckily enough, after a few weeks of intensive training, I was able to adapt and settle quickly into my new home. Thanks to the most friendly and accommodating staff/residents and relatives of Sovereign Lodge and those at our operations office Apex.


My biggest career highlight to date? I am quite happy to see the progression of my career over the span of six years.


Qualities that make me stand out are;
A good home manager must have good leadership and at the same time be caring and have a passionate heart. Time management is also very important.


My interests outside of work are spending time with my little boy, playing in the sand or swimming together. I also like watching movies and shopping.

Sovereign Lodge has a very good name in the local community and I wished to have a more fulfilling job role
Before joining Healthcare Homes I was a landlady at a local public house. I had always worked in the service industry.
To be good in my role I need to be bubbly, outgoing, motivated and confident. Being able to work as part of a team or take a lead role if necessary. Energetic, enthusiastic and loving the job of making people happy.
The favourite part of my working day is putting a smile on people’s faces and making a difference. Giving residents something to look forward to.
My biggest professional challenge in my current role is being diverse in the role and giving a wide variety in the activity schedule; keeping it fresh and exciting. I am undertaking a Health Care Practitioner trainee role which I am very excited about and looking forward to the outcome.
Although there have been many highlights during my time here, none more important than walking in to the lounge areas and seeing smiling, happy residents
The qualities I have to make me stand out are good leadership qualities, being able to communicate freely with staff. Good problem solving skills
Outside of work I like spending time with my family, dining out, walking and enjoying the fresh air with loved ones, watching movies and shopping


The relationships I have formed with my colleagues and residents; it’s not just a job to me. I can honestly say in my time working here, this is my family as well as my friends
