We have been very impressed by Victoria Highgrove and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nursing home for a relative. The staff are very professional and work extremely hard in sometimes difficult circumstances, clearly tailoring the care given, to match the needs of individual residents. This
applies to all staff including cleaners, carers, pts, physiotherapists, and nurses.
The building is well maintained and clearly decorated fairly recently. Our relative had their own TV and toilet. There was a choice of very good food available at mealtime so that there is something to suit everyone. The staff do an amazing job at Victoria Highgrove. Thank you!

I enjoyed staying at Victoria Highgrove very much. All the nurses, doctor, health care assistants and care home manager and all the staff were kind and helpful. I enjoyed most of the food, a good varied diet and lots of cups of tea. The place was clean and visitors were allowed to come at anytime. I
also was lucky to have a lovely view from my room of the sea.

My mother has been receiving convalescent care in the last month following a bad fall. During this time she has been treated with exceptional care, kindness and professionalism by each and every member of the care team, and in turn, they have offered me much support and guidance towards my mother's
recovery and future needs. Her room is comfortable and cleanliness is of a very high standard. The food at Highgrove is well worth a mention as it is of high quality; the chef is talented and produces daily menus that are nutritious, and flavoursome with surprising variation. I'm very grateful to all concerned for giving my mother the confidence and will to become stronger with a view to returning home.

My mother has been in your care since the 17th of June 2024 and cannot fault the facilities or the excellent care my mother has received. Mum is happy and comfortable. The staff are amazing and very caring in a joyful way. It truly is a pleasant facility and I honestly believe my mum would not still
be with us if it wasn't for the excellent care she receives in the home. Thank you.

The staff (all) our extremely caring and attentive. The rooms are kept clean and comfortable to a high standard. The senior members of staff have always been willing to listen to the needs of the residents with kindness and do their utmost to offer help, support and guidance. Along with encouragement
to work with other medical health personnel. Hence the continuous multi-team involvement which I personally couldn't fault. I have one regret and that is I didn't find Victoria Highgrove for my mother as well.

My time in Highgrove was excellent on every aspect. The care and support I received made it a very comfortable and content stay. A very pleasant room, more than enough food, a very nutritious menu. All the healthcare staff, doctors, nurses, physios, and occupational therapy, all gave me the confidence
to get better, not forgetting a well though out leisure time in the lounge. All in all, a great time and a nice cleaner.

I have received great kindness and care during my 3 1/2 week rehabilitation stay at the Victoria Highgrove. The staff are most pleasant and helpful as are the nurses, doctors and physiotherapists. The rooms are well furnished and regularly cleaned and there is a comfortable lounge and dining room plus
a delightful garden to sit in on a fine day. Exercise classes and activities are also provided and the 3 course daily menu offers a wide variety of choice. I can certainly recommend Victoria Highgrove for recuperation after hospitalisation for any illness.

I am very happy with the care my mother has received at your care home Victoria Highgrove. She was very poorly but in a few weeks, she has improved in everything the physio has done with her. And the food was fantastic I've been told.

An excellent nursing home with all the facilities you would need. Our friend went in for assessment and unfortunately could no longer be at home. The staff were so exceptional that he didn't want us to look for another place for him to stay and he moved in October. He enjoyed his time there and was
treated with care, dignity and true affection. Towards the end he was comforted by staff and gently slipped away. Thanks to everyone for making sure that his last few weeks were comfortable.

My husband was transferred here from hospital for re-enablement. He said, 'All the staff were brilliant, and thank you.' The staff were great, always polite, professional and friendly. Knocking before entering a room. He enjoyed the food, which he said tasted as if cooked on the premises. We're grateful
to all the nurses and staff, but one in particular who referred him to tissue viability nurse for ulcers on his right foot. The staff went the extra mile in looking after him, and his foot in particular, monitoring it, creaming it and encouraging him to elevate and bed rest. So hugely grateful, and let's hope he adheres to this. The staff understood how people miss their home environment. I would say, for us, the home's absolutely brilliant, but perhaps a choice of enablement at home could be offered for people that prefer their own environment. However, would his foot issue have been picked up so quickly in the community, I don't know. Thanks Victoria Highgrove.
