My mum has been with Highgrive for two weeks, and in that time, we have been so happy with her care - it's hard to put into words.
The staff are caring, kind, patient and knowledgable.
Her health has improved markedly.
Everything has been done to improve her condition, which was very poor when
she arrived.
10/10, Highgrove, and many thanks.

Victoria Highgrove is a lovely place. It is always clean and fresh. The staff and management are fantastic. They are kind, caring and supportive, not just to Nana but to the entire family. We always feel welcome and they are always on hand to help and support in any way then can. I feel they are caring
and supporting my nan as if she is a member of their family which is the most important thing for us and Nana.

For a period of about 9 weeks, my nursing care was excellent - food, cleaners, nurses, managers, facilities etc. I was very happy to be with such caring and kind people and would recommend it to anyone looking for a professional and well run nursing home.

The staff at Victoria Highgrove Care Home are the most welcoming and caring group of people. They are sensitive to their clients' needs and respond quickly to any help needed.
The home itself is spotlessly clean and the rooms are comfortable. There is a pleasant dining room and lounge area with access
to a pretty courtyard for sitting. If you cannot be home, it is the next best place!

We were kept informed by staff from day one of my father's condition. He spent two weeks at Victoria Highgrove Care Home until he passed away. We were so pleased he ended his days here, he was much more comfortable than he would have been in hospital or home. The staff were so helpful, nothing seemed
to be too much for them. We had regular talks as he became less well. This made the process so much easier for all of us. We couldn't recommend them more. Thank you.

I cannot commend this care home highly enough. All members of staff, regardless of their role, were unfailingly warm and professional, both to the service user and family members. The level of care was exceptional. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The food was varied and good. The whole
experience of being in this care home made the recovery from an unfortunate accident as easy and positive as it could have been. Thank you so much Victoria Highgrove Care Home.

We are very pleased with the care home, they have been very kind and efficient with her and do many checks on her to make sure she's ok. Every staff member is outstanding. The food also has been very good, very clean and really good about visiting times. They help her all the time and reassure her when
she is upset. The staff also entertain the patients.

Professional, clean and welcoming. My dad came into the home in January 2023. He has felt welcomed and cared for every day. The staff are friendly, loving, and caring and ensured dad is looked after and his needs met. They even asked him to sing in his room. Hugely recommended it to anybody.

This is a wonderful place. The staff can't do enough for you. I love the activities and the Valentine's party. The food was lovely and choice offered every day. I'm really going to miss the home. The physio and occupational therapist were so attentive. The management of the home regularly checked if
I was okay and do I need anything. Very clean home. My visitors were made to feel welcome. My family were so happy with the care I received.

My father-in-law was taken to Victoria Highgrove in January and left on Monday the 20th of February. He was taken with all the staff as they treated him so well. He used to sing songs to the two girls who used to take care of his personal needs. My father-in-law didn't want to leave the home and when
he did, he asked me to take photos of the staff so he could remember them.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.791)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.791) out of 10 for Victoria Highgrove is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 63 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 63 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.791 for Victoria Highgrove is calculated as follows: ( (592 Excellents x 5) + (112 Goods x 4) + (15 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 722 Ratings = 4.791
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Victoria Highgrove is based on 63 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 24 registered maximum number of service users is 4.8, which has been reached with 63 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
