Over the last nine months, my wife has been cared for extremely well. I have had no worries about her care, for all the staff have done such a wonderful job, being fully committed to the work. I would highly recommend Victoria Highgrove as a place for care.

Everyone that worked at Victoria Highgrove, were so caring and kind. I felt so safe and looked after. I would definitely recommend this care home. I never felt lonely, as there was always someone to listen if you felt you needed to talk. I met some lovely people, who I will never forget, some who worked
there and some residents, who I'm sure I will be friends with now I am back at home.

The care my father received was absolutely wonderful. I couldn't have wished for anything better. When he was first admitted he was really angry because he didn't want to be there but then as time went by he settled. He loved the staff and they loved him. When it was clear that he couldn't go home he
said 'well this is my home now.' He died peacefully after exceptional nursing care.

I have had so much care and encouragement from each and everyone who have helped to get me back on my feet again. I do the physio to help me to get moving again, I will get back to my useable self again. Everyone has been so marvellous and caring.

Very pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, I could not meet other patients due to covid restrictions. Interesting activities in the lounge and well organised. Very pleasant room but could not see far as on the ground floor with roof outside.
As I was in rehab the physio's were very good.

My father was looked after with great care and kindness. The staff were excellent, always happy to answer any questions about my father's condition and they went out of their way to make sure he was comfortable and safe. As a family, we cannot thank them enough.

My aunt was taken in on a respite package and I was happy with the room and service that was provided for her. She is a vulnerable person at the moment, so I didn't think she would like it, but she seemed to enjoy it, especially her food.

I was very frightened at first, after being in a ward of people and then brought here in a room on my own. Anyway, I am OK now as they are a lot of special people who look after me. I broke my hip but I think I am going along nicely now.

From the moment I left the hospital where I had amazing care to when I came to Victoria Highgrove, I was greeted most cordially. There wasn't any time day or night that I wasn't cared for by the kindest staff, cheery, chatty and thoughtful. The food was very good and well balanced. I would like to thank

I stayed for a week whilst convalescing from a sudden and major operation. The staff here are wonderful - very kind and considerate and couldn't be more helpful. The facilities are excellent, and the food is very good. I highly recommend this facility and am very impressed by the level of care and consideration

I was transferred here from the hospital for recovery after an operation. In spite of rebuilding work at the home, I have not been too inconvenienced. I was well received by all the staff, who have been wonderful, warm and friendly. All the staff have displayed great attention to health and safety and
I have been very happy with my stay here. I would like to congratulate the catering staff on a well-cooked and variety of meals.

My mother was a resident at the Victoria Highgrove nursing home for 15 months until she recently passed away. When she first moved in, she was in a poor state of health but because of the excellent nursing care she quickly improved. She was always monitored very carefully and if there was any sign of
a problem the doctor would be called straight away. The staff were always professional, compassionate, and empathetic and I felt that they looked after her as they would a member of their own family, as they went the extra mile to ensure she was happy and comfortable. Most importantly my mother was very much treated as an individual and she often said how she felt she was always treated with dignity and respect. When it became obvious that my mother was nearing the end of her life, she made it clear that she didn't want to die in hospital and this request was also accommodated. She was given excellent palliative care and was looked after beautifully right until the end.

My mother was initially admitted for rehab but for health purposes remained at Highgrove for over a year as a permanent resident. During that time she was given the utmost care, attention and kindness from all the staff - the manager, nurses, carers and even the chef paid special attention to her requirements.
She enjoyed the entertainment and social activities that were provided and the interaction with the other residents at lunchtimes, but from our point of view, it was the hard work and dedication on a daily basis that made the difference. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home.
