Having spent 5 weeks in hospital I was discharged to the Victoria. A carer opened the door and said "nice shower and hair wash and then lunch" a really good welcome so it went on a shower (with care and assistance) fantastic food choice of menu - three courses I had lost so much weight lying flat on
my back at the hospital. The local GP diagnosed me and organised 2 scans. I can honestly say I had more care and interest shown to me than I've had for years.
New medication was prescribed, physio, OT, Conversation from carers. I loved my stay at the Victoria and did not really want to leave when discharged.

Having recently arrived at this establishment, we have found it to be clean and well maintained and of a good standard and all staff are friendly.


The negative side is the home has no bath as not all people like showers. Hot water in rooms was an issue but this has been resolved by new boiler being

installed.

When I came here, the first thing I noticed was how friendly everybody was.
The care given to me was first class.
The medication was spot on and just two weeks later I am ready to go home.
I have made a good recovery and thank you to everybody here.
I will miss everybody here, they are so dedicated,
I will miss them all.

My stay at the nursing home has been very comfortable and pleasant. My health and strength are getting better by the day, except for a urine infection half way through my stay. The physio has been very good, seeing someone daily for exercise. Doctor visits on a regular basis. Occupational therapists
every morning and afternoon. Care being taken to self-medicate and to do exercise on my own. The food has been of hotel standards, a different menu weekly.

Evening/night care falls short noticeably, run with agency staff. The day staff have looked after me extremely well.

I find the nursing home very comfortable. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Food and variety very good. It is making my stay very enjoyable but must get home soon.

The property is located in a high end area in Hove. It's a beautiful Victorian Building converted into 21 private rooms. Each room is nicely decorated with basic furniture. The home has a very pleasant lounge for common use and a lovely zen garden which is very peaceful. The staff are without exception
first class. They are courteous, kind, caring and professional. All of these features combined have made my fathers stay very pleasant.
