Overall Experience

My husband was transferred to Victoria Highgrove from hospital for therapeutic care. It was hoped that with nursing care and physiotherapy his strength would return and he would be able to walk again. Unfortunately this didn't happen despite all the care and help he received and he gradually got weaker and weaker and died on 6th March 2024. He was a very difficult patient to deal with because he didn't want to be there. I can't thank all the staff enough for their patience and wonderful care they gave him.

Highgrove is a first-class nursing home. Everything is excellent. The staff are friendly, happy, chatty, kind, caring and respectful. The home is very clean, the food is delicious, all the equipment works well and if you need anything they go above and beyond to get it for you. Highgrove has changed my view of nursing homes and I'm no longer fearful for what the future might bring.

Everything was great. I think all the staff were considerate and looked after me well. They were helpful and helped me with everything I needed help with e.g. helped with cutting nails and reminding me about things.

The manager and everyone at Highgrove provide an absolutely brilliant home-from-home for people under their care. Everyone genuinely cares for their residents and can't do enough to help.
The food is great, Dad actually looked forward to meal times!
The care provided is excellent and physios, OTs, GPs, nurses and the rest of the care staff all provide friendly care and can't do enough for everyone.

Thank you, Victoria Highgrove!

My mother came to Victoria Highgrove directly from hospital and from the moment she arrived, the staff treated her with respect and cared for her. The staff were amazing and I would definitely want my mother to be at this home if she ever requires permanent care. She was sent home today and the staff were taking care of her right to the last moment she was in their care. Absolutely fantastic!

Overall Experience

My father-in-law came to Victoria Highgrove for respite care after a chest infection. He was very well looked after as we live in Bristol so could not visit everyday we knew he was in safe hands. The staff kept us informed on his progress a few times a week. He was very happy with his room and was cared for by the night team when he was having trouble with his catheter. He really liked the food as the chef is very good. He also joined in with the activities and liked to read the magazine the home provided and enjoyed the puzzle pages. The staff were all great and friendly.
