Kings Lodge Care home has provided excellent care for my husband who has Parkinsons and Lewy body dementia.he is always clean ..shaved and the carers reposition him throughout the day. He is always treated with dignity and respect and all the carers are happy and cheerful and kind to him .
My uncle does not have relatives in the UK, and he has been a resident in this Kings Lodge Nursing home (Bosham) for several years. I was visiting from the USA and was finally able to meet his care staff in person. They were very professional and caring staff members. We have spoken by telephone, correspondence and social media calls. They have been instrumental in providing good care for him and making us feel he is being taken care of in the absence of family. They keep us updated as to his health and provide pictures on the website of his activities. I wish I could name the person in charge. And the care team staff because they deserve to be recognised. Thank you for the peace of mind.
Following extensive visits to various care homes in and around Chichester, selecting Kings Lodge for a week's respite for mum, sadly suffering from mixed dementia, was really quite simple. Such a move is understandably challenging with countless unknowns and worries, not least how would mum react to her new environment! From initial contact to mum returning home, staff at Kings Lodge were outstanding. Management, reception and nursing personnel could not have been more helpful in understanding our initial concerns, frequently going above and beyond to make mum, (and me) feel totally at ease and relaxed. Facilities are excellent with nothing being left to chance. Mum commented on returning home on the friendliness of nursing staff, and in particular the tasty food.
I thoroughly endorse previous reports of excellence and unreservedly recommend kings Lodge. It is immaculate, professionally managed delivering quality nursing and care. Thank you everyone at kings Lodge.
The staff at Kings Lodge looked after our mother for the last six months of her life and she could not have been happier there. The care she received was professional, caring and respectful and could not be faulted. She loved the food and dining experience and especially the fun entertainment which she actively looked forward to. Her room was kept spotless and her personal care was excellent and the staff were always on hand to help when needed. Dumitru was the most caring and professional healthcare nurse I have ever met and deserves a very special mention. We cannot praise him and his staff enough. The care she received at the end of life was what anyone would wish for their loved one, full of respect and dignity. Thank you all.

We are very pleased to learn how happy you were with the care your mother received from the Kings Lodge team, and that the facilities, food, entertainment and cleanliness met the standards, you rightly expected.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We're delighted your mum felt comfortable and well supported during her respite stay, and that it gave you valuable peace of mind. It's wonderful to hear her kind comments about the team and the food - your recommendation is truly appreciated by everyone at King's Lodge.
I have been in the home for 2 years, now have to leave the home to be near by my sister .staff are very patient especially with people who have got DEMENTIA. Staff make sure that everyone is safe and well looked after. Chef is amazing and cook very delicious food. Dietary needs are always cared for. I am so upset to leave and miss all the staff. Staff make every effort to make people comfortable.
Thank you very much for taking the time to write us a review. We're delighted to have you with us and we'll be sure to pass on your compliments to the chef. Do let us know if there is ever anything we can help with in the future.
All staff involved in the home were very generous with their time and support and would go over and above what was required to give residents a safe and caring environment. The activities team went to a great deal of effort to ensure the residents were provided with a variety of fun events.
Mum was supported by an excellent nursing team and warm and empathetic leadership by Sajila, home Manager.
Every single member of staff worked incredibly hard to provide Mum with the best experience possible at the end of her life. Thank you.
Thanks so much for taking the time to write us this review. We're very sorry for your loss, though it means so much to the whole team to hear how happy you were with the care your mum received at King's Lodge. It's particularly special to hear you felt the team went above and beyond to create a caring environment for residents. Thank you.
And we were equally looked after well during her staff .
We are all so sorry for your loss. It was a privilege to care for your mother, and we are glad that we were able to support you as a family as well. Please just let us know if there is ever anything more we can do for you.
Kings Lodge took care of my mother for a short time before my mother passed away. I visited a number of homes before Kings Lodge but they were very helpful and professional. However, what really impressed me was once my mother had taken up residence, on every visit all members of staff were friendly and went out of their way to help ( both my family and my mother). Just walking down the corridor, staff wanted to say hello, can I help you etc. A fantastic experience and I am very grateful to them all.
We appreciate you taking the time to write us a review, thank you. We are so sorry for your loss. It was a privilege to know your mother, even for a short time, and to care for her here. If there is ever anything more we can do to support you or your family, please just get in touch.
My father has been at Kings Lodge for over a year now and he has been cared for by a lovely team, who have ensured he is safety and secure, he has deteriorated over this time and they have continually adapted to his needs. He has an array of social events to take part in and his room is very comfortable and we have made it personal for him.
Dad has a lot of trips to QA and the team have managed all these trip with easy and thought every time. His medical needs are monitored every day and reported/adjusted as needed.
I would recommend the lodge they are a wonderful team who really care about the residents

My dad spent his last year at Kings Lodge. He was very well cared for by all the staff. He was happy and especially enjoyed the good food. The staff were also a great support to me as my father neared his passing. Thank you

From the moment we walked into Kings Lodge Care Home, we knew it was the right place for my father. The warm, welcoming atmosphere immediately put us at ease, and every member of staff we met was both professional and genuinely caring. The team go above and beyond to ensure residents are comfortable and well looked after.
Communication from the home to our family has been first class - we're always kept informed and feel fully involved in Dad's care. It's such a relief to know he's in safe, compassionate hands. We couldn't be happier with the care and support he receives at Kings Lodge, and we're so grateful to the wonderful staff for everything they do.

She was really well cared for right up until her recent death. Without exception the care staff are lovely and they all genuinely took such care of my wife. They showed genuine care for her. They are such a good team and they showed such respect for my wife. She chose not to take be involved in all of the activities but there are many opportunities if wanted.
Thank you team for looking after my wife's last few months with such dignity.

On my first visit to Kings Lodge with my Daughter we were impressed and grateful for the kindness and understanding of those who greeted us. Kings Lodge is a nursing home that places equal importance on family and the resident who needs specialist nursing care. My wife is being looked after in a totally professional way with respect, love and when appropriate humour. She is very happy. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff in all their various roles. They are all part of a team making every endeavour to help and nurture those in their care. If things need doing families are encouraged to bring them to the attention of the staff. The reaction is always positive even at times when they are busy. We are most grateful.

She loves it there and it gives us great peace of mind that she is well looked after whilst we take a holiday.
So she stayed for 4 weeks .
She took part in numerous different activitys whilst there.
She was taken on a trip to visit a local school and intereact with the children she enjoyed this so much.
My son and his 3 sons visited and were made very welcome.
What makes kings lodge special is the staff remain pretty much the same from year to year and remember mum and she remembers them it makes her feel at home.
The manager has been extremly helpful to me as organizing care for respite is not easy she has helped me by being clear in what they are able to offer mum and i can go away knowing she is in good hands which mean a lot to me and my husband as we only take 1 holiday a year.
Mum is looking forward to her next visit which will be a party that we have been invited too in August.

This is not only evident in the way they interact with my mum, but with the other residents as well. Whether a resident is easy going or challenging, the team is always kind, cheerful, attentive, encouraging, patient and supportive.
The staff readily adapt to mum's needs as they evolve, ensuring not only are the basics met, but continually strive to engage, stimulate, and include her in activities as is possible.
I had no choice in where my mum was to be transferred the eve before Jubilee celebrations, but could not be more fortunate that she landed at Kings Lodge! I live in NYC, so though not able to visit as often as I'd like, I am fully at ease knowing my mum could not be in better hands.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a fantastic review! We're happy to hear that your mother is receiving such great care and has settled in so well at Kings Lodge. Our team is dedicated to providing the very best care for all our residents, so your recognition of their hard work means a...
Wonderful staff who are all professional, kind, and caring. I have worked in care for over 40 years, and I am really impressed with the high standards and compassion that are shown to my mother, who has Alzheimer's. The activities have been a real bonus for us as my mother can join in and feel valued. I am always made to feel welcome when I visit. The manager has provided invaluable support and reassurance to me. I can't thank them enough for making such a positive difference in both our lives.
Thank you for your lovely comments. We're delighted to hear that the care your mother receives at Kings Lodge has had such a positive impact on both of your lives. The care and services we deliver as a team to our residents and their loved ones is extremely important to us. Your feedback will be shared with the team.
My Nursing Home search for FIL started in Spring 2024. After research, the family decided on Kings Lodge. He moved in June 2024. He has complex nursing needs and poor mobility. Although a few niggles arose - overall the care he has received in the past 6 months has been excellent. Every member of staff is polite, friendly and helpful. The activities team are amazing, the Christmas Panto was brilliant. There are regular themed events. They organise Chess for him. His mobility has deteriorated - KL worked hard with him to slow this down. He likes the food. It has a room for private family events. His care team is exceptional, one in particular. I'm informed of changes and concerns, but he is as independent as he wants. Another staff member in particular was a great help in settling him in and supporting us as a family. The maintenance team have been a great help. As a family, we are delighted with the standard of care he receives. It gives us all complete peace of mind, which is priceless.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a fantastic review! It's wonderful to hear that your experience at Kings Lodge has been so positive and that the team has worked together to make your father-in-law's experience as comfortable and fulfilling as possible. I will pass on your kind comments to the whole team.
