My mother has been at Kings Lodge for four and half years now. When she arrived, she was very unhappy and I felt she probably only had months to live. Since then, she has been looked after so well and so kindly that she is more contented than I have seen her in decades.
I love the fact that if she
didn’t feel like getting up early one day (she’s never been a morning person) she could have a lie in and that the care is tailored to the individual requirements of residents. I also love the way that residents are entertained and encouraged to participate in a range of activities and given choices wherever possible.
I am so grateful to all the staff who do such an amazing job in making Kings Lodge such a special place, where people are made to feel so at home.

My wife was admitted to Kings Lodge for end-of-life care, suffering from chronic cognitive impairment, hyperactive delirium and chronic leg ulcers. Such was the amazing quality of care given by the staff that now, nearly 9 months later, she has recovered sufficiently to return home. This has been a

Kings Lodge looked after Mum brilliantly. Mum left the hospital after five bad weeks with a chest infection and mild pneumonia. Kings Lodge nursed her so well in her 11-day stay. the one to one care around the clock was first class. Mum was 90% blind, had mild dementia and had lost the use of her legs.
Mum was 95 years old and had always been very fit. She rapidly went downhill in the hospital. Kings Lodge gave the best possible end-of-life care. We thank them greatly.

My husband, who has dementia, has been a resident at Kings Lodge for over a year and I cannot praise highly enough the treatment he receives there. He is very difficult in many respects as well as being negative about every element of his life, but the staff go above and beyond in their efforts to make
him as comfortable and contented as possible. They ensure he has alternative options when he says he does not like a meal, monitor his medication, encourage him to engage in activities and take great care that he is safe and secure and help prevent him from having falls - a pressure pad has just been placed in his room, for instance. The facilities at Kings Lodge are excellent and he has a comfortable room with an attractive view, en-suite shower room, TV etc. The staff, as well as being highly professional, are dedicated, friendly and helpful at all times. My daughter and I appreciate all they do for my husband.

Our father was looked after sympathetically and with great care and understanding. Although he was only with Kings Lodge for a relatively short time we looked forward so much to his attendance after a long stay in hospital and felt that he would really benefit. Dad was transferred from hospital to King's Lodge after a fall. At 94 with dementia, we were worried he wouldn't settle but the staff were fantastic. They treated him with dignity and kindness and managed to provide personal care which we had been struggling to get him to accept before. He was fortunate
enough to get a room with the most beautiful view and not a day went past that he didn't tell us that he was 'a lucky old man'. The nurses and carers always had time to talk if you wanted to ask any questions and when it came to the last few days of his life they were incredibly supportive not only to him but to the whole family. Dad spent nearly 6 months at King's Lodge and we are so grateful for the superb care he received. Thank you to the whole team.

Our mum was placed in Kings Lodge by Social Services during Covid, and we could not have wished for a better place. It took Mum a while to settle in, and she was upset that she couldn't return back to her home after her stroke, but the staff welcomed her and made her feel very comfortable and loved.
She
had a lovely room, the food was excellent, and the cleanness for Mum's needs was excellent.
There was always something going on with entertainment and craft days which Mum enjoyed, and always kept us informed about what was going on.
All the staff were patient, kind and caring, and we cannot thank you enough for looking after our mum
till the end of her life.

My dad was transferred from hospital to Kings Lodge for respite care. From the first day, the care and attention he received was excellent. The staff were very kind and treated him with dignity and patience. Unfortunately he declined and his care turned into palliative care, but all the staff were on
hand to help him 24/7. We were also supported by them during his stay and after his death. I highly recommend Kings Lodge and would use them again if I needed to.

My mother only resided at Kings Lodge for a few short weeks. She had been transferred from another excellent home that simply didn't have the required nursing skills for her conditions.
From first contact to the end early yesterday morning she (and we) could not have been more professionally and lovingly
looked after. Everyone treated her as an old and valued friend, and with great tenderness and dignity.
I was always kept up to date (but not intrusively) about her care and her condition, promptly and effectively.
The manager and her team are outstanding and a credit to their profession. My mother was so fortunate to spend her last days with them and we owe them a huge debt of gratitude. Thank you so much, and thank you to all those involved in caring for her.

From the day that my father was welcomed into the King's Lodge family, he was cared for with great respect and professionalism. Looking after someone with dementia requires a huge amount of patience, and we were always so very impressed with the way the staff cared for my father. The staff could not

My husband spent almost ten months in Kings Lodge and I cannot speak highly enough of the nursing care he received.
Everyone from, the manager, carers and reception, were always incredibly helpful and kind and someone was always on hand to discuss any concerns I had at any time. I was always kept informed
about all aspects of his care which is so important.
I cannot rate Kings Lodge highly enough and everyone there certainly shows the utmost care: comfort, compassion, credibility and I thank them all for everything that they did for my husband.

Thank you for the kind and dignified care that the whole team provided for my father as his dementia worsened and through the final stage before he passed away. I was particularly impressed by his personal care - he always looked well dressed and well cared for, with staff individualising the care to
meet his needs and the challenges he presented with. Staff spoke kindly and calmly, distracting him when he was distressed and were able to keep him. I was also very pleased with the communication from all staff - the manager, the admin team, the finance team and in particular the care team. We were kept updated throughout. Visits were also well managed so we could see him safely and comfortably. It was so lovely to see two team members at his funeral too, our family were very touched by that. I recommend Kings Lodge to any of my friends and colleagues who are investigating residential care for a parent. Our family is very grateful that you took the worry out of everything.

The care shown to my dad was amazing and so reassuring as he was there from the start of the pandemic. The staff became his family and gave him the love that we weren’t able to, they really went above and beyond. I hope they all realise what a relief and help it was to us knowing how well he was looked
after.

I am extremely happy with the care my husband has received since he arrived in Kings Lodge in November 2021. I had heard good reports of the home and it has lived up to its reputation. Although he is now bedridden he always seems content and is obviously well looked after by the staff. They bring to
their job compassion and a personal touch which is so important. I am informed immediately if there is a medical concern and I have regular updates on his condition from a nurse when I visit, which is very reassuring. His birthday was last week and was made a memorable occasion when the staff on his floor came in with a cake singing Happy Birthday. He sang along which indicates that despite his memory loss, he still remembered the words. A big thank you to all the staff.

My father has a permanent room in the nursing wing. As a man with his mental faculties still strong he is in a difficult situation as a bedbound person.
The care he receives is compassionate and professional.
He is contented and at peace thanks to the steady care he is given.
His room is quiet and
clean. He is always well groomed and clean.
The nursing staff have conquered his horrible bed sores which has taken him out of pain.
I am very grateful that my dad is in such good hands.

Both my mother and father-in-law entered Kings Lodge in 2021. Unfortunately, my mother-in-law passed away in the latter part of this year.
The respect, care and concern shown by the staff at Kings Lodge made the sad experience so much more bearable. The expertise, support and kindness of the nurse
and care team along with the wider team was and still is, invaluable to us.
Kings Lodge continue to care for my father-in-law and to support us (his family) in keeping him safe and well looked after. Thank you.

Hi, I am Sajila Mano, Manager at Kings Lodge. I have been working at Kings Since 2013, started my career as a qualified nurse, promoted to head of care, deputy manager and recently promoted to a Home Manager. We have a wonderful team who are dedicated to achieving the common goal of ensuring our residents are well cared for. I also am responsible for the training of our staff to ensure their knowledge and skill set is maintained so our residents receive the highest quality of care. I have maintained a very good professional relationship with multidisciplinary team including GP’s and community matrons which helps me to effectively run the home. I enjoy working at Kings and feel so proud to be part of the Future Care Group.

I am Justin George, a Deputy Manager at Kings Lodge Nursing Home. I have been part of the Future Care Group family for over 8 years.


I am proud to be a part of Kings Lodge Nursing Home and work with an excellent team of staff to support and ensure the happiness of our residents.

The best part of my role is interacting with all the staff, residents and relatives.


My role is important because I ensure that all the necessary paperwork is done and up to date and help deal with all the enquiries and queries from staff and relatives.


In my spare time, I like to spend time with the kids, watching movies and camping.
