Whenever we visit Kings Lodge, we’re always made very welcome the staff are all really kind and helpful. At Christmas, myself and my husband visited my father-in-law with our 3 children and the staff were fabulous, making sure we were all happy with drinks and space in a family room for quality time together, to relax and play games. We all had a lovely time, we always receive a warm welcome. The home always provides lots of activities for the residents and don’t think my father-in-law could be anywhere better.

My brother-in-law was not coping with everyday life at home. He has been at Kings Lodge for approximately 1 year and the improvement in his mental state/happiness is remarkable. The staff at Kings Lodge understand his needs and treat him as an individual. His surroundings are light and airy, he enjoys the garden and is now taking part (with encouragement from the staff) in the varied activities on offer. Visitors are always made very welcome.

I am pleased to say that the service provided by Kings Lodge is excellent. As a family who are spread across the country from Scotland to East Anglia we need to know that mum is receiving the best care that her condition warrants. I don't visit very often but am confident that mum's care meets all her current needs and that if anything was to change I would be advised accordingly. When I do visit the staff are always available for a chat and to discuss mum. Mum's room is always clean and tidy and the overall atmosphere is relaxed.

This is a care home of 72 beds on 3 floors.
We have an excellent activities team of four so there is no need to get bored.
This team is based in our 'pub' room where drinks, hot and cold, are available when the room is staffed.
Each floor has a game afternoon once a week with all the usual tabletop games.
I have been here for 15 months.
I would recommend a large home like this over small homes where I have had respite care in the past.

I have the advantage of an electric wheelchair.

My sister was only in the home for a week, during which she experienced excellent care and support. Staff sat with her just to keep her company and were with her at the end. We couldn't have asked for more.

Well cared for by staff and we have the peace of mind he is safe and looked after.
Staff always on hand when he needs something but he can enjoy his own company and his TV in his room as much as he likes.
Visitors (including dog) always made welcome.

Staff keep the family well informed re his well being.

Sajila ManoJob Title:Home Manager

I’ve been working at Kings Lodge since 2013, beginning as a qualified nurse before progressing to Head of Care, Deputy Manager, and most recently, Home Manager.
