In general, I find the service good, especially activity team and management. My only criticism would be the high turnover of staff.

Excellent home and outstanding staff. My aunt is well treated in a dignified way. There is so much for the residents to do. Will highly recommend to anyone without any doubt.

Well managed and good atmosphere. Modern facilities and cheerful and caring staff.

On the downside, the caring staff do not have enough what I call 'arm around the shoulder' time with the residents. To meet my criticism, the staff to resident ratio would have to be increased by at least 30% which would probably mean that the fees charged would have to be raised to make the enterprise viable.

My father in law was in Kings Lodge for 17months and I feel he was well looked after. The nurses and carers worked very hard to make his stay as comfortable as possible.

Yes, I would recommend this home to others.

My mum spent about 10 months at Kings Lodge. She was treated with care and dignity. My dad and I always felt welcome and spent many hours there with my dear mum. The staff are amazing and made my mums last few months a special time. We spent many hours in the lovely garden.

I feel very relieved to find a kind and efficient nursing home for my husband who has dementia. He has settled into the little community here and is quite happy to return after the family have taken him on an outing. The staff have always been kind and understanding, especially in the early days while he was settling in.

My father received nursing care and the nurses and carers were very conscientious, hardworking and friendly.

It was also very easy to speak to the manager if I had any concerns.

Kings Lodge is a beautiful home, it's clean and fresh smelling which is most important. The staff are always polite and I'm always greeted with a smile.
All the care team have been wonderful and have a great knowledge of their job. The activity team are great there is always something for the residents to do, whether it be a beer in the garden or a game of wheelchair basketball! The manager's door was always open for anything we needed, which made us feel very at ease.

Overall a great hard working team, happy content residents and brilliant value for money. Highly recommended!

Although my mother was only a resident at Kings Lodge for a short time, I was extremely pleased with the attentive care and compassion the staff provided. The home is very well organised and all staff (admin and nursing) were very friendly and helpful at all times. They also looked after our family, in particular, my elderly father, during his extended visits to see my mother.

My dad came in for respite care at Kings Lodge, he was in for a month. Unfortunately my dad passed away on 7th March at Kings Lodge. The care I saw your employees giving my dad was outstanding (they really did care for him as if he was their own).

I cannot thank them enough. Please pass on our thanks to the staff.

Sajila ManoJob Title:Home Manager

I’ve been working at Kings Lodge since 2013, beginning as a qualified nurse before progressing to Head of Care, Deputy Manager, and most recently, Home Manager. Throughout my time here, I’ve been privileged to work alongside a dedicated team who share the same goal: providing exceptional care to our residents.

My role also involves overseeing the training and development of our staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to deliver the highest standard of care. This ongoing professional development is key to maintaining the quality of support we offer.

I’ve built strong professional relationships with multidisciplinary teams, including GPs and community matrons, which enables us to deliver well-rounded, effective care to our residents. These collaborations play an essential role in ensuring that our home runs smoothly, and that residents’ health and well-being are always prioritised.

At Kings Lodge, care is at the heart of everything we do, and I am committed to ensuring our residents feel supported and valued.
