My mother us very happy at King's Court. It is comforting to know Mum is cared for in every way and all of her needs are met. There have been many improvements recently which has benefitted the residents.

With friendly, helpful staff, I'm always updated with Mum's wellbeing on a regular basis and of any concerns. KIng's Court is a very special place like no other!

Always a happy pleasant experience. Staff are friendly and helpful. Dad always looks well looked after and happy.
Cannot comment on specific care provided as currently, due to government guidelines, family cannot enter the care home!

Concerned regarding weekend/agency staff being used without being fully trained in policies and procedures eg: door codes/alarms.

Reply from Charlotte Whitehead, Manager at King's Court

Thank you for your great feedback about King's Court. I can confirm that we are now fully recruited and therefore our agency use will be significantly reduced, although following your comments, I will address this concern directly with the agency.

The home is very caring and I cannot fault it. My husband seems to have settled in well. His room is okay but the chair really needs updating as it has certainly lost its suspension as it goes down so low and he does use his room quite a bit. (All feels a little bit shabby).

Reply from Kings Court Home Manager, Home Manager at King's Court

Thank you. We have changed the chair in your husband's room, hoping this will be more comfortable for him. Thank you for your review.

Overall Experience

King's Court is a fantastic care home.

The staff are very patient with our relative, they make him laugh, give him lots of encouragement, interact and discuss any changes prior to them taking place.
We are made so welcome when we visit, lots of teas, coffees, cakes and biscuits all adding to the home from home atmosphere. His room is bright and colourful, the home is beautifully decorated with lovely beach scenes and items on the walls. The very hard work the staff have done has had amazing results and we are so grateful to them all.
The gardens are beautifully maintained with lots of colour and ornaments, a lovely place to sit and chat. We have been encouraged to bring in bird feeders that our relative loves looking after and he spends most of his time in the garden, he has made a special friend at the home.

A relief for us to go home knowing he is as happy as his horrible condition allows him to be. We know he is safe, clean, well fed and very well cared for.

I have been visiting Kings Court for several years. I first went when my father was a resident. After his passing, I have continued to visit once a week as a voluntary visitor. My father has been very happy and well cared for during his stay and I found the staff so helpful and friendly, I carried on visiting. It is a shame we do not reward carers for the dedicated work they do.

Alex Angelov
Alex AngelovJob Title:Registered ManagerJoined: 2023

I am a Registered Manager with over 15 years of experience in the social care sector, both in the UK and internationally. Throughout my career, I have successfully managed two residential care homes and provided oversight and support to additional services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care while maintaining full regulatory compliance.

Over the years, I have worked across a variety of care settings, including nursing homes, residential care homes, and services supporting young adults with complex needs, learning disabilities, and autism. This diverse experience has given me a broad understanding of delivering compassionate, individualised care to people with a wide range of needs.

I am passionate about supporting older adults, particularly those living with dementia, and creating safe, welcoming, and nurturing environments where every resident is treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. I take great pride in leading and developing dedicated care teams, fostering a positive culture, and building strong relationships with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to promote trust, well-being, and excellent outcomes.

I hold an International Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, recognised in both the UK and the European Union, together with a QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care. I am also a registered Social Worker with Social Work England, enabling me to maintain my professional registration, continue my professional development, and ensure my practice remains current with the latest legislation, professional standards, and best practice.

With extensive knowledge of CQC regulations, governance, quality assurance, and inspection processes, I am committed to ensuring that every home I manage delivers outstanding, compassionate care while providing residents with dignity, independence, and a true sense of home and belonging.

Elena Preda
Elena PredaJob Title:Deputy ManagerJoined: 2023

I am currently working as Deputy Manager at King's Court, a role I have proudly held since April 2023.

I began my career in the care sector in January 2015 and dedicated the following nine years to working within a nursing home, where I progressed through several roles, including Senior/Lead Carer, Clinical Assistant (Nurse Associate), and Lifestyle Assistant Manager. This experience provided me with a strong foundation in both the clinical and operational aspects of adult social care, while allowing me to develop the leadership skills needed to support residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Throughout my career, I have remained committed to continuous professional development. I achieved my NVQ Level 2 and QCF Level 3 qualifications in Health and Social Care before completing my QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care. Alongside these, I have gained additional qualifications in Team Leading, Administration and Personal Assistance, Human Resources and Payroll, and Accounting and Finance. Each qualification has contributed to my personal and professional development, equipping me with the knowledge and skills to progress into leadership and to support the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care.

Before moving into health and social care, I completed my Baccalaureate Diploma in Romania with a focus on Universal Literature and History. This educational background strengthened my communication, analytical thinking, and appreciation of different cultures and perspectives, qualities that continue to support my work in a diverse care environment.

I am passionate about supporting older adults and ensuring every resident receives compassionate, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, choice, and respect. I believe in leading by example, creating a positive and supportive culture, and building strong relationships with residents, their families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes.

I have a particular interest in the clinical aspects of care and enjoy supporting my team through mentoring, continuous learning, and the promotion of best practice. I am committed to maintaining high standards of care, encouraging continuous improvement, and ensuring services remain compliant with regulatory requirements. Above all, I strive to create an environment where residents feel safe, valued, respected, and truly at home, while empowering staff to deliver the highest standards of care with confidence and compassion.
