Overall Experience

When my father moved in, he was welcomed by all of the staff and the home was well organised and they were keen to get him organised and involved in the day to day life in the home.

11th September 2017

He is now well settled and likes the home and his room. He does make comments about the food, partially not having hot food in the evening.

Overall, he is happy, settled and we are happy with all aspects of the home.

I call into King's Court every Wednesday with a group from the local church to chat and sing with the residents. All the staff are friendly, happy and very welcoming to us. All residents are relaxed and happy, well groomed and seem content. Surroundings are clean and fresh and they are always being offered refreshments which is very nice to see. All of us really enjoy visiting every week!

My husband has lived here for three years. I feel that he is well cared for. The staff are very kind and caring. The food is very good, my husband has Alzheimer's and I feel that this is managed as well as it could be.

Overall Experience

My father has been very well cared for since coming to King's Court. He always tells me he is happy. He had to go into hospital for an operation for a fractured hip (which happened in the car park as he was returning to the home) The operation went well but his sodium levels rose and he soon struggled to eat and was bedridden. After 3 weeks he was assessed by King's Court and they kindly offered to take him back. Due to their care and kindness, he can now stand and has started to take a few steps. He is slowly getting back to his old self thanks to King's Court.

Alex Angelov
Alex AngelovJob Title:Registered ManagerJoined: 2023

I am a Registered Manager with over 15 years of experience in the social care sector, both in the UK and internationally. Throughout my career, I have successfully managed two residential care homes and provided oversight and support to additional services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care while maintaining full regulatory compliance.

Over the years, I have worked across a variety of care settings, including nursing homes, residential care homes, and services supporting young adults with complex needs, learning disabilities, and autism. This diverse experience has given me a broad understanding of delivering compassionate, individualised care to people with a wide range of needs.

I am passionate about supporting older adults, particularly those living with dementia, and creating safe, welcoming, and nurturing environments where every resident is treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. I take great pride in leading and developing dedicated care teams, fostering a positive culture, and building strong relationships with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to promote trust, well-being, and excellent outcomes.

I hold an International Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, recognised in both the UK and the European Union, together with a QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care. I am also a registered Social Worker with Social Work England, enabling me to maintain my professional registration, continue my professional development, and ensure my practice remains current with the latest legislation, professional standards, and best practice.

With extensive knowledge of CQC regulations, governance, quality assurance, and inspection processes, I am committed to ensuring that every home I manage delivers outstanding, compassionate care while providing residents with dignity, independence, and a true sense of home and belonging.

Elena Preda
Elena PredaJob Title:Deputy ManagerJoined: 2023

I am currently working as Deputy Manager at King's Court, a role I have proudly held since April 2023.

I began my career in the care sector in January 2015 and dedicated the following nine years to working within a nursing home, where I progressed through several roles, including Senior/Lead Carer, Clinical Assistant (Nurse Associate), and Lifestyle Assistant Manager. This experience provided me with a strong foundation in both the clinical and operational aspects of adult social care, while allowing me to develop the leadership skills needed to support residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Throughout my career, I have remained committed to continuous professional development. I achieved my NVQ Level 2 and QCF Level 3 qualifications in Health and Social Care before completing my QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care. Alongside these, I have gained additional qualifications in Team Leading, Administration and Personal Assistance, Human Resources and Payroll, and Accounting and Finance. Each qualification has contributed to my personal and professional development, equipping me with the knowledge and skills to progress into leadership and to support the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care.

Before moving into health and social care, I completed my Baccalaureate Diploma in Romania with a focus on Universal Literature and History. This educational background strengthened my communication, analytical thinking, and appreciation of different cultures and perspectives, qualities that continue to support my work in a diverse care environment.

I am passionate about supporting older adults and ensuring every resident receives compassionate, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, choice, and respect. I believe in leading by example, creating a positive and supportive culture, and building strong relationships with residents, their families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes.

I have a particular interest in the clinical aspects of care and enjoy supporting my team through mentoring, continuous learning, and the promotion of best practice. I am committed to maintaining high standards of care, encouraging continuous improvement, and ensuring services remain compliant with regulatory requirements. Above all, I strive to create an environment where residents feel safe, valued, respected, and truly at home, while empowering staff to deliver the highest standards of care with confidence and compassion.
