My father has been very well cared for since coming to King's Court. He always tells me he is happy. He had to go into hospital for an operation for a fractured hip (which happened in the car park as he was returning to the home) The operation went well but his sodium levels rose and he soon struggled
to eat and was bedridden. After 3 weeks he was assessed by King's Court and they kindly offered to take him back. Due to their care and kindness, he can now stand and has started to take a few steps. He is slowly getting back to his old self thanks to King's Court.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.519) out of 10 for King's Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 14 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 14 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.669 for King's Court is calculated as follows: ( (117 Excellents x 5) + (43 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 166 Ratings = 4.669
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.85 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for King's Court is based on 14 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.85
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 38 registered maximum number of service users is 7.6, which has been reached with 14 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Registered Manager Joined: 2023

I am a Registered Manager with over 15 years of experience in the social care sector, both in the UK and abroad. I have been registered for two residential homes and have also overseen and supported additional services, ensuring they deliver the highest standards of person-centred care and regulatory compliance.

My passion lies in supporting older adults, especially those living with dementia, and creating safe, warm, and nurturing environments where every resident feels valued and respected. I take great pride in leading and mentoring care teams, building strong relationships with residents, families, and professionals to promote trust and well-being.

I hold an International Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, recognised in the UK and EU, along with a QCF Level 5 Leadership and Management of Health and Social Care. Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2023

I am currently working as a Deputy Manager at King’s Court, a role I have proudly held since April 2023.

I began my journey in the care sector in January 2015, and over the years, I have developed my skills and knowledge through a variety of roles, including Senior/Lead Carer, Clinical Assistant (Nurse Associate), and Lifestyle Assistant Manager.
These experiences have given me a strong and well-rounded understanding of both the clinical and leadership aspects of care.

I am passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives, especially for those who may not always be able to express their needs or speak up for themselves. Promoting dignity, respect, and person-centred care is at the heart of everything I do. I believe in leading by example, being approachable, and taking the time to listen to residents, families, and colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes.

I have a particular interest in the medical side of care and enjoy continuously developing my clinical knowledge to better support both residents and my team. I am currently completing my QCF Level 5 qualification, which is further strengthening my leadership skills and professional practice.

As a person, I am open-minded, supportive, and committed to continuous improvement. I am confident in challenging poor practice when needed, always with the aim of improving the quality of care we provide. I strive to create a positive and safe environment where residents feel valued, and staff feel empowered to deliver high standards of care.
