Oak Lodge generates a very caring environment where staff treat each resident with much kindness. From my first contact with management to engagement with all the team they have all played their part in making my mum’s necessary move from her own home in January 2017 into care as easy as it could be
and I have full confidence in the level of care and commitment shown by all the team in delivering this to a consistently high standard. My mum's own room is personalised and the communal areas are bright and airy encouraging social interaction. There is an activities coordinator who is great interacting with residents both as a group and individually. There are other guest activities together with an annual summer bbq and Christmas party where residents, with their family and friends together with the team, can all socialise together, the former is held in the well-maintained gardens where residents can enjoy time outside in the warmer months. My husband who has Parkinson's disease and Lewy-body dementia was transferred from another home to Oak Lodge Nursing Home six weeks ago. In that time I have witnessed a remarkable improvement in his general appearance, his mood, his wellbeing, his humour and his concentration has improved too. I can't
speak highly enough of the level of care and attention he receives from all members of staff at every level. It has made a huge difference already to his life, and mine! Thank you, Oak Lodge Nursing Home.

The care and support given to two family members who reside in Oak Lodge Nursing Home is fantastic. One of the family members is on end of life and her care is very impressive. Also, the support given to my husband and I and the connection with the staff is great.

My Nan has been residing in this nursing home for the past few years. I have been blown away by the fantastic care she has received whilst being here. The staff are fantastic, very helpful and friendly. They are very thorough and always have the resident and families best interests at heart. I would

My husband has resided in Oak Lodge for just over a year, following strokes and seizures. For all of that time, he has been completely dependent on the staff for every aspect of his care. They are all amazing - happy, kind and caring and welcoming to visitors at any time.
Everywhere is homely, with
a special room creating memories for residents of "days gone by". All occasions are celebrated and the food looks wonderful. My family and I feel very lucky to have my husband in Oak Lodge.

My wife entered this home in September 2014. After looking at other homes, I was sure that this home was the best to have my wife enter. I was very pleased with the feedback from relations and staff.
I knew that my wife was going to be well looked after here in every capacity. So as to date that has
proved to be the case and she and myself are very grateful to this nursing home. (First class)

The owners, management and staff are very caring and helpful. My husband is very well looked after, staff are always ready to talk to him and help when he is confused and upset. He gets like that when he cannot remember anything or where he is.
It is the best home we had looked at. They do take an
interest in all their clients, how they feel and what they would like.

My father moved into Oak Lodge in late October 2017. From the very first time we visited the home to look around, right up to the present date we have been really impressed and pleased with everything.
The staff are all lovely and friendly. They treat the residents with dignity and respect. The management
team are all very hands on and are always available and helpful.
My dad loves the food and from the meals I have seen it is fantastic.
His care is excellent.
He is content and happy and so are we as a family, knowing he is well looked after.

Our Mum was bedridden during her stay and I and my family could always rely on her being very clean and her room clean.


As she was bed ridden there were clear instructions on a chart on the wall of when she needed to be turned.


The staff were always helpful and welcoming. Staff always happy

to help with talking about any worries or fears we may have had about our Mum either face to face or via phone.

My mother has been at Oak Lodge Nursing Home for over 2 years. Her continued longevity can be attributed to the excellent care she receives from the two managers and the staff, who are all wonderful, always cheerful, courteous, respectful and professional at all times. Whenever my family and I have
visited we, too, are treated with the same respect and good humour. Sometimes, we have visited at unsocial hours or during meal times but we are always accommodated and nothing is ever too much trouble. An enormous effort is put into every aspect of life at Oak Lodge, notably special events and religious festivals throughout the year and the Christmas feast laid on for the residents and their families is impressive!

I found this the ideal place for my mum mainly because the care was excellent, staff are friendly and very understanding, good quality food provided and the management team were good listeners and very helpful. Mum's shared room was adequate in size and bedding and surroundings kept clean. The garden
area was of a good size and well kept with enough seating for family and friends when visiting.

Staff very friendly and helpful, any problems are solved quickly (not that there are hardly any). Mums needs are always catered for. Meals are very good always fresh. Manager/deputy manager always gives regular updates. I did have my concerns I didn't like the thought of mum having to reside there,
but over time I could see that we made the right choice for her needs.

The staff, management, carers and auxiliary are all very efficient professional patient and kind to my mother family and friends. The care and compassion she receives is second to none and she has made great progress since moving to the home sixteen months ago. We would recommend the home to anyone

Oak Lodge is a small, friendly and homely nursing home. My mother, who was in her 90s, had previously lived independently. She stayed for eighteen months because she became helpless and needed nursing care after a fall. Oak Lodge understood her individual needs and worked out a care plan to integrate
her. She had a spacious and well-furnished bedroom and the kind of food that she liked. Personal care was kind and respectful. We were notified immediately if there was any health issue. Visitors were welcomed and made to feel at home. The understanding staff cared for my mother right up to her peaceful death and a representative attended her funeral, which was much appreciated.

I have found the care that my mother receives to be "genuinely" compassionate, thorough, professional and friendly. The management are absolutely "spot on" and every member of staff that I have met has far exceeded any expectations that I had. The way that we as relatives have been treated at "every"
visit has been warm, friendly and welcoming. Any concerns however small are always taken seriously and never ignored. Without a doubt, the best nursing home that I or my wife know of and my wife had been in the same type of work locally for over ten years. Well done to everyone at the home.
