His mum and I were able to visit easily and his friends and family were able to come and say their goodbyes.
His room was clean and comfortable and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
Oak Lodge staff are wonderful. The care they gave my Dad in his final months was amazing. In addition, the support they give me and their communication with me, was brilliant. They made a traumatic time less traumatic
Thanks again
Alan
From the very beginning, the staff have been consistently kind, compassionate, and attentive to his needs.
Every member of the Oaklodge team have shown genuine warmth and respect. They have turned a very difficult and challenging year into a calmer and more positive experience for us all.
Oak lodge staff worked tirelessly with compassion and respect creating a welcoming environment that feels more like a family community than just a care home.
What stood out to us most is the professionalism and dedication of the Oaklodge staff. They not only ensured that our relative was well looked after on a daily basis, but also took the time to keep us updated and involved and nothing was too much trouble for them.
When we visited we were always welcomed & made to feel part of the Oaklodge family.
We would highly recommend Oak Lodge a 5* home for a loved one
Really put our minds at rest knowing she was well looked after- thankyou so much.
Dad was having a wonderful time celebrating with his family when he unexpectedly passed away. The staff were so kind to us all, a heartfelt thank you to you all for taking good care of Dad in his final months.
My Mother was a resident for 9 months till she passed away. During that time she was cared for to the highest possible standards by dedicated and skilled professionals, but equally importantly she was shown genuine love and respect by a team of unbelievably big-hearted special people. Every single member of staff, no matter what their job, from cleaners to managers, demonstrated a dedication to making the resident's lives as comfortable, dignified and joyful as possible. This only increased as my mother approached the end of her journey with the same care also being shown to myself and my family.
Mum was cared for at Oak Lodge for her final 3 months following a life-changing stroke. The team were so kind and caring, treating Mum with dignity and respect. They did everything they could to keep her comfortable and take care of her individual needs. They looked after both Mum and myself during her final days and hours with compassion and kindness.
My heartfelt thanks to the staff of Oaklodge for there care of my father this year, he passed away in June and was with staff members he trusted and felt safe with. The care and attention he was exposed to over his last few months was excellent with staff going beyond the norm to assist and make his life comfortable.
My beloved husband was in Oak Lodge Nursing Home for 15 months and received the best care from everyone working in the home from the top to the bottom. The nurses and carers were so kind and very caring especially as my husband was not mobile, nothing was too much trouble. I chose Oak Lodge Nursing Home for my husband as I had received at least half a dozen personal recommendations, all of them emphasizing the good care which I particularly wanted and am so pleased I did. I am happy to recommend anybody if they are looking for a cosy and reasonably priced home with great care.
My dad moved to the care home in February 2023, and died 16th March 2024, during his time there I found the staff to be very friendly and caring. They made sure my dad was kept clean, tidy and comfortable and always kept us well informed of any issue. I would highly recommend this care home.
During that time she was treated and cared for with the utmost respect and understanding.
The management and staff were excellent and I must thank them for the care, kindness, and compassion given during that time, not only to my mother but to our family as well.
My auntie was unfortunately on end-of-life care and brought into the care of this home.
The home was clean, tidy and the staff very attentive to the needs of not just the resident but also her family. They ensured all medications were available and knew exactly when these were to be given.
The manager and the team were kind and compassionate and when the time came called us to be at my auntie's bedside to ensure she wasn’t alone when she passed away.
As a family were couldn’t have asked for a kinder and compassionate place to allow my auntie to slip away peacefully and without pain.
The management and staff at Oak Lodge Nursing Home have a very caring attitude towards their residents and families. My mother was treated with kindness and respect by the nurses and staff and always dressed in clean clothes and bed covers. Staff explained all procedures to her and took the time to listen to her replies. Mum was usually visited three times a week by members of the family and we got to know the staff and had confidence that she was being well looked after. I was very grateful to Oak Lodge Nursing Home for providing a welcoming place of love and dignity for Mum.
Caring, understanding staff and manager - good humour. Welcoming at all times. Resident concerned was bedridden due to the spine. All carers were gentle and professional when personal care was carried out. Special diet was needed, made with flavour and care. Some rooms downstairs are a little small, some with limited open views. We were very fortunate to have a good room at first, then able to move to a better, brighter room after a few weeks.
My mum was a resident at Oaklodge for eight months. I thought the care and attention she received was very good. We found the staff very friendly, accommodating and caring towards my mother during her time as a resident. I was kept informed and included at all times of her health needs. I would have no hesitation in recommending Oaklodge.
The management and staff are exceptional. They are hardworking, kind, caring and accommodating to both residents and their families.
I feel very lucky to have chosen Oaklodge for my mum.
Five glowing stars from me!
The staff were always keen to help and support as well as being open and honest with all dealings.
I feel we were very lucky to have chosen Oak Lodge and for Mum to get the attention and support she needed.
A small and friendly nursing home, ideal for an older person for respite and end of life care.
The staff were all professional and caring.
Would recommend this home for its welcoming atmosphere and everyone works well as a team, making it a successful place for residents.
Where they are well looked after for their needs.
Mum was admitted to hospital September 2021 and transferred to Oaklodge January 2022. At the time she was immobile, couldnt stand or take a step, without significant support. She was confused and malnourished and required support with all activities. Within a few days of being at Oaklodge the family noticed an improvement in Mums mental and physical state. She had subsequently gone from strength to strength and today we waved goodbye to the staff as she is now recovered sufficiently to come and live with me. The staff have all been kind compassionate and accommodating - we wouldnt be where we are today without their professional help.
