St Georges Court is a 76 bedded care home providing person-centred care for adults aged 65+, including those living with Dementia and those with nursing needs.

Situated just off of Hills Road, the home is within walking distance of the town centre, which hosts a wide range of shops, churches, restaurants, and other facilities. The local railway station is situated within a 5-minute walk and a good local bus service operates closely to the home.

St Georges Court is divided into 3 units over three floors. All rooms are single occupancy with 52 rooms having en-suite facilities.

Each unit has a dining area, lounge and a kitchenette as well as bathrooms, shower rooms and toilets throughout the home. The upper floors of the home are accessed by stairs or lift. All areas of the home are accessible for wheelchair users.

My dad has now been in St George's Court for 18-months. He moved here after we sadly lost our Mum. Also, one week before the first lockdown. We were really worried about how well he and we would adapt to him being in a care home. I have nothing but praise for the work and compassion your carers have
had for us as a family.

All staff - manager, care manager, all nurses and carers we have spoken to are so helpful and kind on the phone and face to face. Also the reception is very helpful and always very happy when we come to visit Mum. Mum's getting very good care. Thank you to all the staff, you're doing a very good job.

Thank you, St Georges Court Home and the excellent staff attending to our Uncle during his closing days where he passed away on 20th April 2021.


The entire family living abroad trans globally, it was a difficult time to deal with not only Uncle's failing health, but many other factors relating to

a time such as this. On all levels, the staff understood our dilemma and the contributing factors of Covid -19 as well!


The kindness of everyone was beyond words - sending photos and videos, updating us even in their off time - ensure the on-duty staff continued. My particular appreciation and respect go to an incredible particular member of staff, who made his days most comfortable. A nurse must be commended, and although I did not personally have comms with the night nurse - others in the family commend her attitude and care too.


There could not have been a better place from when Uncle went gently into his night.

My father has been at St George's for seven years this month, and during this time, has always received excellent care, and the family has been well supported too .
This has been particularly highlighted during Covid times when we have been unable to pay our regular family visits to Dad.
Many families
and their loved ones have been frustrated by the tight restrictions resulting in the lack of indoor contact between them, but the upside has been that no residents have suffered from Covid, which is an absolute testament to the hard work and care of the manager and team in protecting themselves, and in turn, the residents from Covid.
The whole team always try and be as flexible as possible in meeting the needs of my father both in his day to day care and in trying to make visits as workable as possible within the guidance for safe contact with each other, which is much appreciated.
Thank you all, and hopefully, it will not be too long before we can return to normal times.

Recently, ( Dec2020) Mum was diagnosed with aggressive blood cancer and given 4-6 months to live, on top of this, Mum has Alzheimer’s disease, which has rapidly progressed.
It’s been a heartbreaking journey for our family.
We are very close to Mum, seeing her go through this and having no option
but to place her in a care home has been the hardest situation to be in.
Through this email, I wanted to express our sincere gratitude to the manager and the team at St George care home.
The manager has shown compassion, thoughtfulness and understanding with Mums circumstances.
Given the limited time we have left with Mum, we feel the manager is on our side, supporting us, reassuring us throughout.
Another has been involved in Mums care and has understood her needs and been extremely helpful and informative.
All of these extra touches have helped tremendously with this difficult journey.
We wish to send our eternal gratitude.

My mother has been in St Georges for almost a year now, and the staff are amazing, and during this terrible time of lockdown due to coronavirus, they have gone above and beyond to care for my mum. My dad would visit daily, and I'd visit 2-3 times a week; the staff were always friendly, helpful and
engaging with residents. Since lockdown, they have communicated by letter, phone and social media, which has been a huge comfort. A big thanks to all the staff; you are our heroes.

St Georges Court is a Greenhouse, full of beautiful green, pervaded by the elderly and dying. It is not a Warehouse full of objects on a shelf gathering dust.
My wife has been here for two and a half months now. After much care and love - and many ups and downs - she feels at home, safe and content.
The care staff have shown much understanding of ageing and the Alzheimer's illness. The management has been first class in providing a great deal of behind-the-scenes support, orchestrating a well-oiled machine.
Now I feel my wife is 'at home' I can plan my life for my last years. Thank you, St Georges, for caring for both of us. I really feel that this is a partnership between me and St Georges Court and all who work there.

Room cleaner than last time I visited, also more drinks brought to room.
Staff supportive, dealt with issues I raised.

Our Mother was a resident for just over four years and was very happy at St Georges Court, the staff were always friendly and caring. Mum enjoyed the lively entertainment that was arranged by the home and also the outings. Mum celebrated her 100th birthday, and management and staff all wished her
well with a party and lovely cake made by the chef. Mum was treated with kindness and respect in the last days of her life and that was extended to us as a family.

My family and I were very satisfied with the care provided to my mother who was in the dementia unit at St Georges Court for over 6 years. The excellent manager has been able to put together a superb team of carers who always carry out their work in a friendly and cheery way.


The home employs a full-time

entertainments co-ordinator, who puts together a varied range of activities. The activities range from craft and reminiscence activities, gardening in the home's nice grounds to visits by singers/musicians and small animal educational specialists.


A lot of money has been spent by the home's owners in recent years in upgrading, modernising and decorating the home. The result being that the home is always bright and fresh.


The food is excellent, on occasions I ate with my mother and the quality of the food was always superb.


The home was recommended to us and I would recommend the home to others.
