My mother's individual needs are carefully considered and thoughtfully accommodated. Her personal hygiene is maintained to an excellent standard and her room is always kept spotless and comfortable. The staff regularly go the extra mile to support family requests and ensure my mother remains involved and stimulated. Cottenham Court is not just a care home; it is a caring community. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to any family seeking exceptional care for a loved one.
Thank you for sharing such wonderful feedback. We are delighted to hear that your mother has enjoyed four happy years with us and that the care, kindness and professionalism shown by the team have made such a positive difference to her life. It is especially rewarding to know that her individual...
My brother was a resident at Cottenham Court Care Home for about two years and was treated with excellent care and attention at all times by staff and management. His physical needs were attended to with great care and the doctor was called when needed. My brother was an academic and the activities provided were not of interest to him unfortunately but in every other respect he was made to feel comfortable and looked after well.
We're so grateful that you've taken the time to share your thoughts. We take pride in creating a caring environment, and it's lovely to hear that reflected in your comments. We will discuss your feedback with the home's manager to help them continually improve their service. Hopefully you will go away from this feeling like your loved one received the best possible care.
Mum came to Cottenham Court Care Home for a week so that we could go to see family in Cornwall. She was very positive about the stay and said she would recommend it to others. She even said she'd be happy to stay again or for longer. She praised staff and facilities. I found staff to be very friendly and kind. A positive experience.

Just a few short words re my mums 14 month stay at Cottenham Court - she was wonderfully looked after by all the staff, managers, the lovely ladies on reception, the incredible nurses, carers and all the other staff. My sisters and I knew she was warm, safe and well looked after. Many, many thanks.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are very happy we could provide the care your Mum required in the short time she was with us. Thank you again for choosing Cottenham Court.
Mum died last week after 14 months in Cottenham Court. I cannot find words to express gratitude for the professional care she received but also the kindness, patience & understanding. The food was superb too. Also the care that we as relatives received every visit from comfort when we were worried or upset & the very welcome coffee & biscuits after 90 mins travel.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your feedback. We are so sorry for your loss but hope knowing your Mum was well cared for at Cottenham Court is comforting to you now. Thank you again for your kind words.
Enjoyed meeting old friends. They all remembered me from before when I was here. Love them all.

Almost without exception the staff are professional and friendly in meeting my mothers needs and the day staff have been very helpful of late and the entertainment and atmosphere is great due to a lot of hard work
Thank you for your lovely review of our home. We are so pleased to hear how much your mother is enjoying life at Cottenham Court. Thank you for recognising the hard work of our lifestyle and wellbeing coordinators and how much work they put into creating meaningful moments for our residents. We are looking forward to seeing you again.
My mum entered the home at the beginning of Sept 2025 after a few months of unsettling change. She immediately felt right at home and was welcomed by all from the start. My mum (and I) have been extremely happy with all aspects of life at the home and we cannot think of anything we would change. All the staff (and I mean that) have been excellent and genuinely care about their residents. I would thoroughly recommend the care home to anyone - in fact I did recently to a friend and her mother has now become a resident.
We're so grateful that you've taken the time to share your thoughts. We are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time. It is wonderful to hear that your Mum has settled in comfortably with us and hearing that our care brings you peace of mind truly means so much to us. We're committed to continuing to support you and your family in every way we can.
The is a variety of activities each day, but find it's mostly suitable for the female residents as there are more in the home than male. The rooms are adequate and have been decorated to a good standard, but are on the small side.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. It's great to hear that the transition into care home life was seamless for you and your loved one. Hearing that our care brings you peace of mind truly means so much to us. It's great to hear that the dining experience has been a...
An observation, not a criticism I would prefer more choice on the menu for the main meal, however all the food was good quality, well presented and a light menu available throughout the night.
My stay was for a couple of weeks following knee surgery, staff went above and beyond my expectations and all are a credit to BUPA.
I would highly recommend.
We're so grateful that you've taken the time to share your thoughts. We want our home to feel like a community, and it's wonderful to hear that you have felt a part of it. It's lovely to know that you found the surroundings here pleasant and well maintained- we want our residents to feel at home...
Their treatment has enabled me to make a wonderful recovery from a thoracic operation and to given me confidence and peace of mind during my week's stay. Peace of mind also for my daughter and friend. Thank you!
Thank you for your kind words. It's reassuring to hear that our approach to care has brought you and your family peace of mind. Please don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything more we can do.
I have just spent 2 weeks at Cottenham Court convalescing after an operation. I could not have chosen a better home. The staff were all so welcoming and kind, nothing was too much trouble. With regular meals and a little exercise I was soon greatly improved and the last few days seemed like a holiday! It would help if the information folder contained a map/plan of the building for those able to explore.
Thank you for your lovely review of Cottenham Court. We are so happy to hear that you found our staff to be welcoming and that they were always happy to help. We will certainly take your comments on board regarding an information folder. Thank you again for choosing us for your convalescent care.
Thank you for having me at short notice for respite care after my knee replacement operation and subsequent re-admittance to the hospital 3 days later when I collapsed. The care was just what I needed: efficient, caring, and in a calm atmosphere. I needed a downstairs room at my home, and my husband and family were able to paint and decorate it and have a carpet laid for when I returned home. I am especially grateful to the staff who supported me so well and, during conversation, gave me some very useful medical advice.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is always nice to hear words like "Efficient" and "Caring" being used to describe our care. Thank you for choosing Cottenham Court Care Home for your stay.
Cottenham has been fantastic for my mom, who is battling with deteriorating mental health due to a brain tumour. The staff across the board have been caring & compassionate. I'd highly recommend CCH. The communication with us has been excellent.
Thank you for your kind words. We are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your loved one's stay as comfortable as possible.
Our precious mum moved into Cottenham Court Care Home in July 2024. She never wanted to end her life in a nursing home but, after being ill, was no longer able to be independent. Mum was receiving palliative/end of life care. All the staff, including nurses, carers, cleaners, kitchen staff, activity staff, maintenance and admin were so kind and caring. They made, what was an extremely stressful and difficult few months, much more bareable. They were so thoughtful towards all of us who visited on a daily basis. We cannot thank them enough.
Thank you for your lovely review. We hope Cottenham care home did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible. We are glad to have helped you and your family through such a difficult time. Hopefully, you will go away from this feeling like your loved one received the best possible care.
Despite the works, Cottenham Court Care Home is still coping very well. Well done.

I stayed at the home for 14 days after a hip replacement operation. I was warmly welcomed, and looked after very well by all members of the staff. They were cheerful, kind, and attentive. The food was flavoursome! I am very grateful for the care I received. Many thanks.

This care home has such a welcoming atmosphere, from the first time of visited, all the staff were friendly and clearly proud of where they worked. The rooms are just the right size, and personal preferences are taken into consideration, such as changing the orientation of the bed to enable easier access and a better view of the TV! Mum was here only a couple of months but her outlook and social confidence were transformed after many years living alone. She happily joined in all the social activities on offer and loved the bingo sessions in particular. All the staff, not just the care staff but also the catering, cleaning and laundry staff and admin team had the residents' needs at the top of their concerns, and Mum flourished in their care. The level of care given to Mum to accommodate her disabilities was exceptional, and the care and compassion we received from Cottenham Court upon Mum's sudden passing was amazing. I have no hesitation in recommending this home.

Meet the Team (2)

We put our residents at the centre of everything we do, we are in this job because we care. Residents tell us they feel safe.

I have been at Cottenham Court just over a year, I first joined Bupa as a care assistant which I had been doing for 4 years then I got the opportunity to develop my career further as a trainee nurse associate.
What I love about my job is the people, we have a great team and amazing residents. It’s a great pleasure to work at Cottenham Court making a difference to peoples lives and making sure they receive a high standard of care.
I like to balance my work life with my social life; apart from studying I like to do crafting and love walking.
