Cottenham Court Care Home

I used the respite care service at Cottenham Court as convalescence following an operation. As a widower, I needed support to make the transition back to everyday life. The care here has been everything that I needed it to be, provided in a friendly and welcoming way. My dietary requirements were accommodated with no problem.

I would be very happy for my family member to be cared for here.

The resident I visited until her recent death was happy and well looked after. Her care throughout her stay was excellent and she was treated with affection and tenderness in her final days. Staff were helpful and kept me informed. I believe Cottenham Court is a happy and caring place for residents, my impression is that it is also a happy place for staff and that is reflected in the standard of care.

My aunt received fantastic care and support whilst a resident. Her end of life care was dignified, caring and well-managed. The management and staff are fantastic!

This is a wonderfully welcoming, kind and friendly-staffed care home. The care is second to none and the rooms and décor are clean and up to date. It has a lovely atmosphere. My mum is very well cared for. The food always looks lovely. The staff are very approachable and eager to involve you as a relative. The administration staff are also very helpful. It feels like a family.

I have been here for nine months and continue to be impressed and touched at the excellent quality of care that I receive. The environment is consistently positive, friendly, respectful, safe and well organised. This comes from the managers and from across all the staff team. There is a strong ethos here of responding flexibly to the individual needs and wishes of each resident. I feel that my needs are well understood and fully met and that my wishes are heard, respected and responded to positively. This is so important as it enables me to have as good a quality of life as I can, given my condition. The physical environment is also very good. The home is purpose built and is excellently maintained, including new carpets and curtains recently fitted. There are colourful pictures along the corridors, there is a spacious lounge/activities area, and a lovely courtyard garden. The staff do what they can to make each resident feel as at home as possible - and I do.

She is very happy.

On behalf of my wife, we are both very happy with the excellent care she has when she comes into your home for respite care. We both hope this will always be, as we will be wanting your services from time to time and more so in the future. Thank you.

Thank you. It was a very traumatic experience having to bring my aunt to a care home but the staff were so reassuring that she would settle ( wasn't sure) I have had lovely reports from her friends who have visited her. I have come today (from where I live) and have found a well-settled, neat and happy 104-year-old person. Going to the restaurant and joining in the activities.

The staff are very welcoming and friendly. They provide excellent care for my husband in a lovely setting. The staff take the time to get to know my family and my husband which makes everyone's experience so positive. My family and I would recommend this care home and staff to anyone looking for a future home for their loved ones.

On entering the care home it has a warm and relaxed atmosphere and is clean and spacious. The staff always appear smart and act professionally giving respect and dignity to residents. All staff have always been polite and helpful when I visit and via telephone. It gives me peace of mind to know that my friend is safe and being cared for.

Wonderful to know my dear friend who is being so well cared for in your wonderful home. The staff make you feel so comfortable, the activities especially the Kngs Coronation party were great fun for all residents and staff. A big thank you to all management and staff for such a caring environment to call 'your home'.

We found all staff welcoming and courteous, the care and attention given to my sister-in-law were excellent. The care home was clean and warm.

During my weekly visits, I am always welcomed; staff are friendly and chatty. I am incredibly grateful for the way staff care for Mum and ensure her safety.

From the manager to the handyman, all service with a smile. Care assistants are marvellous. An excellent team under an excellent manager.

I came here for a month's respite after an operation on my foot. I needed 24-hour care and it was offered here. I can't fault the staff and management-they have treated me with respect and care and I felt safe and secure. They arrange everything e.g. hospital transport, escorts, physio (private), chiropodist and activities. They treat everybody with respect and have good relationships with their clients.

The staff at the care home made my mother's 100th birthday so very special. The immediate family who gathered there said it was wonderful and my mother was so happy. She really enjoyed it. I cannot thank you all enough. The staff at the care home are very special.
