Mum has improved with the care she has received, they have looked after her extremely well. Good food which she enjoys and lovely roast on a Sunday. All the staff and carers talk to her, very friendly she loves her chats with them.

My stepmother arrived here in 2016 in rather poor health. She very soon made friends and made a miraculous recovery. The staff, nurses and management were always so kind and caring. It is gratifying that her stay was a happy and very comfortable experience. Thank you so much for all help over the final 4-years.

The staff was all wonderful to my 98-year-old mother, who went into the Cottenham Court Care home for the last week of her life. They ensured that she was pain-free (she had terminal cancer) and were able to ensure that she was calm and well cared for at the end. I highly commend the humanity and kindness of the staff.

We were very impressed with our first visit to Cottenham Court Nursing Home and decided this is where we would like our father to end his life. Our first impression was that the staff were caring, kind, thoughtful, would listen to us and understand our father's needs. The nursing home was clean and had a wonderful ambience and was open and airy. There was even a quiet room if we wanted to spend time just with our father away from his bedroom. Our father was a very social person and although he was totally immobile, the staff ensured that he was taken to the lounge as and when he wanted to be with and watch other people. There was entertainment every day. At Christmas, they put on a party where family could attend. They had a choice of menu for food. The dining room was laid out like a restaurant, even a glass of wine if they wished. Dad was treated with the utmost respect and dignity. They catered for all his needs. They encouraged visitors, we could visit any time. Thank you.

The food is excellent, well prepared, top-class and I don't want to leave. The system whereby the bathroom light goes out unpredictably I think is unsafe, especially for vulnerable people in a care home.

My wife is terminally ill, and I consider that the treatment she is receiving at this distressing time is outstanding both to her and myself administered with skill, kindness, care and compassion. I cannot praise the whole team at Cottenham court enough. My grateful thanks to them all.

I needed to stay in care following a broken arm on top of a current medical condition. I found the staff friendly and encouraging. In particular, I saw all residents being treated as human beings, even if they can't respond, which I was impressed with. My needs were catered for and individual requests. The food was tasty and fresh.

I came to Cottenham Court for nine days of convalescence following surgery. I was warmly greeted on arrival and shown to my room. While unpacking, several members of staff came and introduced themselves. I was encouraged to use the 'call button' unit any time, day or night if I needed anything, even just a chat. The meals here are delicious and varied and nicely presented. The two activities coordinators are enthusiastic with a good varied programme and are kind and patient with the less-able residents. The whole team from the managers down seem to work very well together. The atmosphere is one of caring, kindness and efficiency. The maintenance manager sorts any blips quickly. I have enjoyed my stay here and definitely feel the benefit.

Excellent, friendly, helpful staff, always willing to help. Walking through corridors, all staff smile and acknowledge residents and visitors.
One criticism - male carers at night didn't assist my father to be comfortable in bed - he has trouble turning himself onto his side.
Food good and plentiful, though supper is too early.

Thank you to all the lovely staff.

This was a two-week stay following discharge from a two-week stay in hospital.

My main goal was to have the postoperative wound tended to and dressed on a daily basis. After two weeks the wound had fully closed. Staff superb at lifting my spirits, providing great meals and ensuring my room was kept clean and tidy.

My wife recently passed away after a short illness. She had many devoted friends and close relatives. Friends and family were visiting my wife from early morning until well into the night. At all times her visitors were made to feel welcome and were often asked if they would like tea or coffee.

All aspects of the care home contributed to my wife's comfort during her last months of life. At the very end of her life, the staff were respectful and compassionate, allowing us to devote all our attention to my wife. We will remember her in her last days as being very well cared for and loved by all around her.

I cannot say one bad thing. My mum was looked after with dignity and care. The carers were fabulous, even though my mum can be quite restless, unsettled and a tad rude. They handled her in a lovely way. The nurses are amazing, the rest of the staff, from manager to reception looked after me as well as my mum.

The complex was extremely well kept, clean and in good order with very good security. The staff, both day and night shifts, were brilliant, helpful and showed my mum great dignity.

Unfortunately, due to my mum's illness, she didn't manage to try out the menu to its full extent and was bedridden so unable to partake in the daily activities (hence only the "Good " mark).

I have been at Cottenham Court just over a year, I first joined Bupa as a care assistant which I had been doing for 4 years then I got the opportunity to develop my career further as a trainee nurse associate.

What I love about my job is the people, we have a great team and amazing residents. It’s a great pleasure to work at Cottenham Court making a difference to peoples lives and making sure they receive a high standard of care.

I like to balance my work life with my social life; apart from studying I like to do crafting and love walking.
