I came to Cottenham Court for nine days of convalescence following surgery. I was warmly greeted on arrival and shown to my room. While unpacking, several members of staff came and introduced themselves. I was encouraged to use the 'call button' unit any time, day or night if I needed anything, even
just a chat. The meals here are delicious and varied and nicely presented. The two activities coordinators are enthusiastic with a good varied programme and are kind and patient with the less-able residents. The whole team from the managers down seem to work very well together. The atmosphere is one of caring, kindness and efficiency. The maintenance manager sorts any blips quickly. I have enjoyed my stay here and definitely feel the benefit.

Excellent, friendly, helpful staff, always willing to help. Walking through corridors, all staff smile and acknowledge residents and visitors.
One criticism - male carers at night didn't assist my father to be comfortable in bed - he has trouble turning himself onto his side.
Food good and plentiful,
though supper is too early.

This was a two-week stay following discharge from a two-week stay in hospital.
My main goal was to have the postoperative wound tended to and dressed on a daily basis. After two weeks the wound had fully closed. Staff superb at lifting my spirits, providing great meals and ensuring my room was kept
clean and tidy.

My wife recently passed away after a short illness. She had many devoted friends and close relatives. Friends and family were visiting my wife from early morning until well into the night. At all times her visitors were made to feel welcome and were often asked if they would like tea or coffee.
All
aspects of the care home contributed to my wife's comfort during her last months of life. At the very end of her life, the staff were respectful and compassionate, allowing us to devote all our attention to my wife. We will remember her in her last days as being very well cared for and loved by all around her.

I cannot say one bad thing. My mum was looked after with dignity and care. The carers were fabulous, even though my mum can be quite restless, unsettled and a tad rude. They handled her in a lovely way. The nurses are amazing, the rest of the staff, from manager to reception looked after me as well
as my mum.

The complex was extremely well kept, clean and in good order with very good security. The staff, both day and night shifts, were brilliant, helpful and showed my mum great dignity.
Unfortunately, due to my mum's illness, she didn't manage to try out the menu to its full extent and was bedridden so
unable to partake in the daily activities (hence only the "Good " mark).

My father was admitted urgently and was immediately made to feel at home. The staff did all they could to befriend him and were very kind and patient. The maintenance of the home was clearly taken seriously and the home appeared in excellent, well decorated and clean condition and always smelt fine.
Food was delicious and there was plenty of choice. Management kind and supportive. I was very grateful to the home.

The staff all know my name and go out of their way to do things for me. Food is very good, laundry is good, clothes are well pressed and clean. Pleasant gardens to sit in, there is a good view of the gardens from the lounge. Many activities, I enjoy them and can do them all, I especially enjoy the facilities
for painting. Hairdressing and bathing/showering are very good.

A comfortable experience. Better communication to new arrivals on day routine, meal times, location and type. Rather too much food in a short period of time.
Lighting in bedroom poor. A shower in ensuite would be nice and standard lighting. All staff very polite, helpful and friendly. Very good food.
A larger room required for long-term residence. I appreciated the personalised meals to suit my medical requirements.

They could not do enough for me.
Attended to all my intimate needs.

My father was a resident at the care home for two months receiving end of life care for terminal cancer. I cannot recommend this care home highly enough for the care and support they gave him and us. We were able to spend as much time as we wanted with him and they made sure his passing was as peaceful
as it ever could be. They looked after him and made sure he was happy and comfortable. The staff at this home are amazing and I can't thank them enough for how they looked after my dad and his family.

I found the home to be very clean and have toilet included with room and a TV.
Staff were polite, caring and willing to help with all things. The food found to be at a very high standard, food cooked on premises and anyone can order a different meal if necessary.

My father spent his last days at Cottenham Court after a long battle with illness. The staff we always warm and friendly and helped him to settle in quickly.


During a very difficult time for the family, I cannot speak highly enough of the professional, caring manner of everybody we met at the home.

My father was in Cottenham Court for about 18 months receiving nursing care, until he passed away in August 2017.
As a regular visitor, I always found the home clean and adequately staffed and the care given to my father was of a high standard.
He was happy spending his last months there and the staff
were fantastic.
He enjoyed the activities and trips that were arranged and the staff were all friendly and welcoming.
