Overall Experience

My elderly father came into this nursing home in February, he had many medical conditions and had previously received care at home. It was a difficult decision to move him but was necessary. As a family we visited The Heathers and were shown around by Sonia, she was extremely helpful and welcoming, answering questions we didn't even know we had. After a home visit Dad moved in. He had a bright and sunny room and was able to have his bed by the window, which he liked. All the staff were welcoming, kind and helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Dad enjoyed the home cooked meals and even went into the dining room with other residents when well enough. He had always been a sociable man, being in the Heathers he had company and excellent care. Sadly his stay was a short one, frailty and other conditions took his life. The staff helped Dad and us so much, giving him end of life care that meant he passed peacefully and pain free. Thank you everyone for taking such good care of our Dad.

My husband has been in this care home for nearly 2 years. His room is lovely, with French windows, always very clean. The staff are so approachable. All happy and caring. My husband is happy there. The cleaners keep the home spotless, my husbands clothing is washed and pressed. The food is always fresh and varied. The nurses are always there for you..And all the care staff will stop for a chat. They all work so hard to keep this place a very comfortable place to be. I have never had to complain about anything.I would recommend highly. Many thanks to you all

Very kind, friendly staff who express their care and love for my father-in-law. Lovely clean room with large French windows onto the patio and garden area, where my father-in-law can watch the birds. Very comfortable and caring. Thank you one and all for the care you are giving.
