I know that every time I leave Lincoln House, that my mother is in safe, caring hands. She is very frail now but always handled with care dignity and respect. A recent hospital stay caused many problems but since she has been back in the home, her health, demeanour and well-being have all improved immensely.
There is always laughter and a feeling of warmth. I visit at varied times of the day but have never felt it was the "wrong" time. I am made so welcome and I know that although my mother would have hoped for a few more years of independent living, that this is the very best option for her now. We are lucky to have a room, with fantastic staff. Thank you, Lincoln House
Reply from Garry Gardiner, Regional Operations Manager at Lincoln House Care HomeThank you so much for your kind words. The team work very hard to ensure that a high quality of care is always maintained as well as offering a good quality of life through activities, good home cooked food and the environment. It is lovely for you to recognise this which will be shared with everyone at Lincoln House.

A fantastic environment where the lovely staff go above and beyond to make residents feel at home, the personal extra touches such as birthday cakes, positioning bird tables outside the window and popping in for chats make for a first class service. On entering the building knowledgeable staff are smiling
and friendly always offering to help in any way they can. They seem to genuinely care for the residents and do everything possible to make the stay A good one. The building itself is welcoming, clean and inviting. The food is good and varied and staff are always happy to offer a resident an alternative if nothing takes their fancy. Being able to go and eat Sunday lunch with my grandmother is lovely, this service enables to get together and make her feel included in celebration meals. I am incredibly happy my grandmother is able to reside at Lincoln House Care Home knowing when I finish my visit the staff will continue to look after her with the dignity and care she deserves.

Dad continues to be well cared for by everyone; nurses, carers, chefs, tea makers, cleaners, wardrobe assistants, event organisers... well everyone. Now his health has inevitably declined so much, I'm pleased staff were able to get to know him before. Perhaps it is obvious to say but the continuity
of staff and care have helped us enormously. It is very reassuring to see kindness and compassion given when at our most vulnerable. I know dad finds it helpful that you give him the time he needs, responds at an appropriate level which has been constantly changing, and of course, also have a laugh and joke about it all!
Thank you.

My mother has been diagnosed with Cancer, and I wanted the best care home for her when she came out of hospital.

I have not been disappointed with Lincoln house and the staff and management are first class.

I have found it extremely easy to discuss any issues regarding my Mothers needs, and can

only thank everyone for making it a really good decision to place her there.

This is a nursing home that I would most definitely recommend for all round caring.

Thank you for looking after our great grandma. She was ok and then got very sick. Everyone was lovely to us and to her. We could visit anytime and stay for as long as we wanted. Sometimes we would get upset and sometimes we would get upset and sometimes we would laugh with nan and eat her sweeties.
Nan
liked her sherry with her friends and the day animals visited.
Thank you for looking after our nan.

My mother went to Lincoln House Care Home in 2006 for a few weeks recuperation following a hospital stay which she enjoyed, and has lived there permanently and very contentedly since 2011. The environment is happy, safe and secure and the staff are all very professional, caring, attentive and friendly.
Everyone is treated with dignity and respect. Any concerns are listened to and dealt with promptly and I am kept up to date and involved with all aspects of mum's care. Individual preferences are catered for and activities, outings and entertainment organised on a regular basis. The menu is varied, food is fresh and cooked on the premises to a high standard. I have also seen two close relatives receive excellent nursing and compassionate and comforting palliative care at Lincoln House in the past few years. Everyone does their very best to be helpful and accommodating to both residents and their families.

Nan was admitted to Lincoln House for palliative / end of life care. Everyone treated nan with so much care and dignity that we could leave her knowing she was well looked after when we could not be there. From the reception staff through all the care team, to the laundry and tea lady, everyone knew
nan by name and took the time to chat while going about their duties. The room was always clean, nan had special dietary requirements that the kitchen catered for with ease. The visitor's kitchen area was a God send but as it's well used it could get a bit grotty. But this is down to the visitors, not the staff or the home!

Since Gran's arrival at Lincoln House Care Home she has been cared for by the best staff. She required pureed food which was piped to look like real food- she was given everything she needed and the staff always treated her with care and compassion. As a family member, we were looked after too. Time
was always made to answer our questions and worries about gran. It was very re-assuring to know she was looked after when we weren't there with a consistently high level/standard I cannot praise the staff enough.

My mother has been at Lincoln House a little over 2 years. I live in New Zealand and visit once or twice a year. I cannot fault the staff for their quality of care and the dignity they treated my mother with.
I often came to visit my mother unannounced and she was always happy, clean and well dressed.
Any questions I had were answered in full and were never too much trouble.
I was able to Skype my mother from New Zealand which the staff would organise for me. My mother it seemed as if nothing could be too much trouble, regrettably my mother passed away just after Christmas. Looking back I realise I could not have placed my mother in a better place than Lincoln House.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.664)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.664) out of 10 for Lincoln House Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 15 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.789 for Lincoln House Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (146 Excellents x 5) + (30 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 180 Ratings = 4.789
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.875 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Lincoln House Care Home is based on 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.875
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12, which has been reached with 15 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
