The care home has an outstanding team of highly skilled and passionate support staff equipped to support people living with different types of dementia including Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia and Korsakoff’s syndrome, on a permanent and short stay basis. Specialist dementia training allows the team to create a welcoming and inclusive setting as well as designing meaningful activities for residents to take part in.

Oak Manor is caring through and through. All the staff, from the manager to the care staff, kitchen and domestic, everyone is attentive and caring.
This home always has something going on; there is a sense of fun and happiness.
I can see an improvement in my friend from living at Oak Manor. I asked
my friend what they like about the home, and he said everything. Sums it up.

This home is exceptional. The change in my friend since becoming a resident at Oak Manor is mind-blowing. The approach of every staff member is second to none, and honestly, you have to visit this brilliant home to fully understand.
The building is always clean and fresh. There is always lots going
on with activities, delicious food and incredible care and nursing staff. The manager is one of the nicest people you will ever meet.
All the residents and staff are so happy.

I am very pleased and relieved that my mum is a resident at Oak Manor after a prolonged stay in the hospital. In the short time since her admission, she has become much more settled, which is a testament to the kind and knowledgeable staff, who have all been excellent in making her comfortable and welcome.
I have been a regular visitor and have always been greeted warmly, and nothing has been too much trouble. The management and nursing team are excellent in their breadth and depth of knowledge, which is reassuring as my mum can have erratic behaviours due to dementia. This level of support and care runs through the home, which really feels like a "home". Thank you, Oak Manor.

I have found the staff, without exception, to be friendly and caring. As staff look after the residents, everything is done with encouragement and a smile, and the home feels calm and happy. The home is clean, well-decorated and pleasant, with little touches like artificial flowers on the tables making
all the difference. I always feel happy when I visit, that Mum is being well looked after and cared for.

Oak Manor has given so much love to my sister during the time she was a resident at the home. The staff are dedicated to making sure every resident is well cared for and treat everyone including the visitors like family. There is so much laughter and happiness in the home and the staff are the nicest
group of people you can meet. The manager is a breath of fresh air and her positivity is shared by everyone. The food prepared by the kitchen is delicious, I tried some of the homemade cake myself and it was perfect. The home is always clean. The maintenance chap is friendly and helpful and would stop and say hello to my sister which she liked.
There was always something lovely going on when we visited the home, singing, dancing, gardening, quizzes, relaxation, reading, and art to name a few.
From the bottom of my heart thank you for all you have done. You are a very special group of people.

All the staff at Oak Manor Care Home are doing an absolutely first-class job in looking after my Mum. The staff always keeps my sister informed of any developments and gives her a weekly update on my Mum. All the staff are an amazing caring team.

We are really impressed with my Nannys care. We find that every time we go she looks better and is having less episodes when she is with us.
She talks about doing crafts so we know she is having lots of stimulation. She is on less medication and on a lover dose. because she is coping so well. Everyone

Since my mother has been in your care, she has improved so much. your care and patience with her is evident. The home has such a lovely family atmosphere. Whenever we come to see our mother we are always made very welcome by all the staff and carers.
I know my mum is in the best possible place to meet

My brother was a different person on my visit with my father and brother today, he was so happy, not in any pain, he sang. We had the best time.
The staff were absolutely brilliant, they bought us biscuits and drinks and had laminated photos of our visit.

My mum has only been in the home a short while but she seems to be happy there. My brother and I are very happy with Mym in the home for the care and love she gets and all staff and carers are lovely friendly and helpful.

The difference to the home since the new manager and new staff is amazing, the cleanliness and smell to the corridors is amazing. The staff can't do any more for you. I wouldn't have recommended anyone to this home before but now I would 100%. My dad is actually joining in the activities which he hasn't

Management and staff are very welcoming and friendly, they found the time to talk to you and make you feel at ease. Past experience made it very hard for me to return to Oak Manor Nursing Home but the manager and receptionist were very tentative and understanding. Staff members took the time to find

First impression: The manager is very friendly, welcoming and approachable with a resident lead approach. I found the staff to be caring and helpful. When talking to them they said they get great support from management which is a big plus, after all happy staff means happier residents.
I witnessed
good interaction and dementia training being applied by all staff which is lovely to see. The overall environment is relaxed and a positive experience for families and residents alike. I have great confidence in this manager and staff and I would recommend Oak Manor to anyone in need of dementia care.

Job Title: Home Manager

I have always wanted to work in care, it is my passion and I feel extremely fortunate to be the home manager at Oak Manor.


I began my career in care by volunteering at a nursing home and I loved every second of care home life. As I became a senior carer, I decided I would fulfil my dream of becoming a nurse, studying adult nursing and gaining a first-class degree. As a qualified nurse, I drive the highest standards of person-centred care. Although I love being a nurse, I also love being a manager, with the ability to influence positive change which I get great satisfaction from.


Getting to know the people we care for, seeing them happy and improving their lives holistically is one of my greatest motivations. Our residents must always be the centre of all we do.


When residents choose to make Oak Manor their home, every day will remain just as they like it, with careful notes taken of their preferences, from waking times to food choices, hobbies and interests.


We are here for you and your loved ones every step of the way to help and will do all we can to put our residents and their families at ease. The most important thing is that they are happy.
