As I have very much enjoyed my five-week stay at Alice Grange. I have stayed at a number of care homes over the last ten years, but I have never found a care home that can come near Alcie Grange. The staff and management are really brilliant and really go that extra mile to make one feel special. Many congratulations to the general manager and her staff for giving me such an excellent stay.

Good care, pleasant setting and food. Only comment buzzers left sounding in the corridor disturbing. Use corridor terminal displays to show small flashing light in place of buzzer to avoid disturbance.

I have visited Alice Grange for several years now. I have always found that the staff and management are very helpful, sincere and friendly. Activities coordinators are very good at ensuring that there any many activities and fun things to do. The management involves residents by holding regular meetings to allow them to share ideas and opinions.

The management and care staff are very approachable and are always willing to help when needed.

A most enjoyable stay - far nicer than anticipated or expected. Very careful and caring staff, excellent food and there are drink facilities for tea and coffee as and when required. Our room was spacious, light and comfortable, with ensuite shower etc. Very comfortable beds, in fact, all that one could need. First-class all round.

I have had an excellent period of respite at Barchester Alice Grange Care Home. The staff have all been very helpful and I appreciate the assistance with getting to medical appointments. The accommodation was well suited to my needs, particularly the fridge for my ice pack! Particular thanks is due to all the staff who kept me provided with hot drinks and biscuits.

The staff were very attentive and kind. Staffing levels appeared good. Procedures were professional and logical. The decor of the home was modern and appealing with specific features designed to help residents. The layout of the home is good with the residential community on the top floor. Access between floors by lift. A good range of activities but with fewer at weekends, the missing factor here was physical exercise for residents especially those that need encouragement for their health. Food menus were very good (English) but sometimes portion sizes were small.

My mother is new to the home. All the staff have gone out of their way to make us feel welcome. Staff are committed to learning what Mum needs with her limited communication, gaining her trust and maintaining her dignity ad comfort. I have been very reassured by the professional and caring approach and commitment to ongoing communication. However, I do ask that staff continue to remain very calm and kind with Mum when she is frustrated and challenging. Please just give her time and company.

I stayed at Alice Grange for a week's respite whilst renovations were completed at my home which was local to the home. I brought my own need and hoist etc. I found the room small due to the size of my bed and I was unable to access the external door. I also had a toe injury and this was treated well by the nursing staff. I found all the carers very friendly and was happy with them helping me. My hoist is not the usual one but they were all happy to use it with my guidance.
