The staff were really friendly and helpful and were very good at communicating with family and making sure that mum always got to speak to us whenever we called. Mum enjoyed her stay and seemed to enjoy all the activities and speaking with everyone.

I enjoy my new home Alice Grange. A lot of activities and I am fully motivated. The staff are always happy to help and friendly. The food is good, the room is very spacious. If I am being asked I will recommend people with age lie mt to retire in Alice Grange plus the management is always visible.

From the moment I stepped into Alice Grange I knew my husband would be happy and well looked after, such a lovely atmosphere, everyone so calm, kind and professional. Unfortunately, his lost clothes are a very big issue with me, to date, I am still missing pyjamas and vests worth £43.50 to us!

Reply from Kieran Baines, Customer Relationship Manager at Barchester Alice Grange Care Home

Thank you for your kind words about our team. We are very happy to be able to support your husband during his stay with us. I understand that the clothing issue has now been taken care of, but if you have anything else to discuss then please contact us at AliceGrange@Barchester.com.

My mother died in November 21 having been at the Alice Grange for some two and a half years. The care given was extraordinary and the family was supported too. It seems that I should not use names, nor would I want to exclude any of the team, but two particular carers, two of the Nurses and the manager treated her with a level of care that was absolutely the best imaginable.
There has been much talk of heroes in the NHS; to us, these five individuals probably qualify as superheroes!
But the rest of the team are close behind - the chef who called in regularly to try to tempt her when eating was a big problem and 'Mr Fixit' seemed willing to do anything for her.

I don't often do reviews, but the family have been so impressed - especially in her last months - that it would be wrong not to share our experience

Reply from Kieran Baines, Customer Relationship Manager at Barchester Alice Grange Care Home

Thank you for your kind words, we will make sure every member of the team, especially the superheroes that you have mentioned, knows how much you appreciate their dedication. We loved having your mother live with us and we are glad that we were able to provide such great care for her, it was a pleasure knowing her.

I regularly visit with my black labrador as a PAT dog. I always find the staff happy, pleasant and keen to sort out any concerns that the residents may have. The residents appear well cared for. The home is welcoming and very clean, all the rooms are beautifully decorated and feel very homely. I would be very happy to recommend the Alice Grange to anyone thinking about respite or longer-term care.

All the staff are so kind to dad, and all of us family. He has settled in very quickly and is starting to look much better again. All his medical needs are being thoroughly investigated and I feel he is in good hands. He is enjoying all the musical entertainment provided, even singing along.

I am the General Manager of Alice Grange. Inspiring and leading the onsite team and ensuring high standards of governance and compliance are my responsibility for overall service.

Over the last 14 years, I have had the privilege of serving the healthcare sector by managing and leading frontline care services for our elderly population. The team and I are fully committed to embedding the core principles of empathy, care, compassion and integrity in the Alice grange community.

My door is always open: do not hesitate to come and talk to me, should you need anything.
