Thank you for your kind words. We always operate an open door policy, and your feedback is always welcome.

Occasionally, I am concerned when her preferred foods or drinks (yoghurts/orange squash) are not available as they have run out. I am pleased with the communication given by the home to me concerning any developments around my mother's needs.
Any further concerns please do not hesitate to contact me.
I have found all the headings (as below) describe the needs and conditions for any care home. Alice Grange meets all very very well. Last years CQC review met these conditions with good proving a sound steady progress.

The activities were good but sometimes they were cancelled and he wasn't told.
The food was good but unfortunately, there wasn't enough for my dad's appetite but they were always willing to make something different if there wasn't anything on the menu my dad liked.
The room was very nice and any faults were rectified quickly.
Very caring staff, nice surroundings. All staff are very friendly, helpful and kind.

I have enjoyed my time here, though I took a little while to settle. My only bone of contention is my next door neighbour, who caused considerable trouble and should never be here. Apart from that I get on well with everyone and join all activities.

At this time, the home seems in a very stable place under the current manager. Morale amongst management and all staff appear good by the CQC and I know the staff now have aspirations to become 'excellent'. As a long time carer of my husband (over 30 years), I feel confident that he is receiving good care which he deserves.

There is a lovely friendly atmosphere at Alice Grange Care Home. The staff on Memory Lane are committed to good standards and treat residents with care and respect. The home is well-maintained and decorated by 2 excellent property men. Laundry is good. Food is excellent. Rooms are a good size and regularly cleaned. Activities staff work hard to engage and stimulate residents. The downside is that staffing levels are not always adequate, especially at weekends. Management need to ensure staffing levels are adequate to maintain care standards.
Staff and carers are very good. They look after my mother very well. Notice a difference in her since having one to one and made friends with all carers.

My father's surroundings and care have been second to none.
I was apprehensive about my first stay in a care home but the staff were lovely and made me feel at ease. I would not worry about staying here again.

Overall impression is very good. All areas are bright, spacious and clean. Staff are always helpful. Rooms are a good size and well furnished.
I'm not sure how much entertainment is provided for residents. It is always quiet when I come but that is always in the morning.

As for many other facilities in this field keeping good caring staff can be challenging.

The staff are very friendly. My mother in law needs to be hoisted by two people. They come pretty quickly when she buzzed to be hoisted. If sometimes she had to wait a bit longer, they would let her know, they also tried to address her equipment needs. They have tried a few different commo and hoist jackets to ensure she was comfortable. The manager and activities lead always have time for you. The maintenance manager is very helpful too. We are very happy with my mother in law in their care when she visited us from Essex and had respite.

I am the General Manager of Alice Grange. Inspiring and leading the onsite team and ensuring high standards of governance and compliance are my responsibility for overall service.
Over the last 14 years, I have had the privilege of serving the healthcare sector by managing and leading frontline care services for our elderly population. I have come into contact with many individuals who have willingly shared their life experiences and wisdom. This has reinforced my sense of duty and heightened my level of respect for our elders.
My passion is person-centred care. I truly believe in the values of responsibility, integrity, kindness, compassion and doing what we can do for others. I love to see my residents happy with full smiles on their faces, content and having a quality of life whilst in our care.
The team and I are fully committed to embedding the core principles of empathy, care, compassion and integrity in the Alice grange community.
My door is always open: do not hesitate to come and talk to me, should you need anything.

I have recently accepted the role of Deputy Manager and am very proud to be able to continue to work with the team at Alice Grange.
I love my role here and I am fortunate to have a hardworking team that sees the residents as extended family. I enjoy taking the time to learn as much as possible about each new resident from their families and themselves.
I am very proud of our recent CQC inspection result as I know it reflects the great care that we provide at Alice Grange.

Hello, my name is Rashmi.
I worked as a carer from 2010 and then qualified as an RGN in 2013. I have always worked in Dementia Care through a number of different settings including hospitals and other care homes.
I started working at Alice Grange in 2020 and I love it here. Barchester care homes have much better facilities and people than many other settings. The management and staff here work really well together and it means this is a brilliant home to work in.
I am now privileged to be part of the team on our Memory Lane community, where we strive to make sure that each resident feels at home and that each family knows their loved one is being looked after by truly caring professionals.

Joined on December 2022 with Alice Grange team. Worked with NHS and had various experiences with finance. At present, enjoying working with the Alice Grange and of course with the resident and family.

I love being part of the Alice Grange team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the importance of residents' input into our weekly planner is important giving all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous interests and hobbies.

Hello, my name is Emily and I am a Senior Carer here at Alice Grange. I have been working at Alice Grange since 2014 and I love my job.
I work in care because supporting people to live their fullest possible life is very rewarding. At Alice Grange, I have been privileged to work with a dedicated team who supported me to win Carer of the Year at the 2016 Care Awards.
One of the best parts of my job is welcoming new residents, getting to know them and working together to achieve their goals.

My name is Titus, I am the head chef at Alice Grange. I started working here over 11 years ago. I am responsible for the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and dining, including training, ordering, and menu planning. I like to find out residents' likes and dislikes. As Resident Ambassador, Margaret provides invaluable insight and perspective from a residents point of view on the day to day management in the home.
Margaret befriends new residents to help make the transition to life in our home as friendly as possible by introducing herself to them on their first day and offering to show them around, accompany them for dinner and to activities.
Margaret is a fantastic advocate for our home.
