When Mum first moved in she would spend time in the lounge and I was impressed by the variety of activities on offer. I know she particularly enjoyed the musical entertainment and spending time in the garden. Mum has now taken to her bed as she retreats from the world but she enjoys looking at the trees from her room.
Staff are always friendly and helpful, Mum is always given reassurance when anxious by the staff who go the extra mile to calm her down when needed.
I have been incredibly impressed with the staff at Aldringham Court. The care my mother received was excellent. We have since moved her to Yorkshire to be nearer to us but when we were looking for her new care home the deciding factor was that it had to have the same feel as Aldringham Court.
In my experience, I have always found the staff very friendly, and caring. My husband has excellent care.
During that time she has received a very high standard of care, her needs have always been met.
All members of staff are friendly, professional and approachable, willing to discuss any questions I may have regarding my mum's care.
My Uncle is well looked after, and he likes everybody who cares for him.
Lots of activities available.
Food is always freshly made and lovely quality. Cheryl is fantastic (cook) she is brilliant with my Uncle. Excellent home, with high standards across the board.
my mother has been in Aldringham court for 2 years and I am happy with her care, the carers are all very kind and helpful, the nurses are very good and look after mums health very well. The Kitchen Staff always try to cater for her needs.
Staff very friendly and helpful, If we have to use Aldringham care home will be first choice for my husband. I consider him looked after very well.
The home is very welcoming, a coffee machine for all to use as you enter the building and often freshly baked cakes also.
There is always something going on for the residents to partake in, everything from bingo to coffee and cake mornings, everyone being included. They also organise day trips out for the residents.
Mum is a fairly recent resident but after a couple of weeks respite care she decided to stay which we are very pleased about. All the staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful, happy to go the extra mile to assist if needed. Facilities are very good with lovely views from the rooms. The entertainment staff do an amazing job of involving the residents in lots of activities, lovely to see them all enjoying the lounge. The cafe is a thoughtful place for families, and the newly added coffee mornings are a lovely touch.
My brother was placed in Aldringham Court Care Home, suffering from lung cancer, which had metastasised into the brain. He was very well cared for by the nursing staff and care assistants. We visited every month or so and always found the home to be a very welcome place. It is a very well run nursing home with very dedicated and thoughtful staff. I cannot praise them highly enough, especially the nursing staff who were there for our brother when he passed. Well done to you all.
My mother had 2 weeks of respite care at Aldringham Court because her companion was away, and to inform a decision down the line as to her care preferences. We found the staff outstanding, without exception, everyone was so happy, kind, caring and proactive. Staffing levels were high, which made the whole environment calm and reassuring. My mother said the food was excellent, and again catering staff was very helpful. Mummy would have liked to have gone into the garden without being accompanied - I understand this is more practical in the summer months. A successful first visit. P.S. Other residents seemed to be comfortable and catered for. Thank you.
My elderly mother stayed at Aldringham Court for four months while her home was completely renovated after a flood. Throughout her stay, she was cared for and made to feel welcome. The staff were friendly and helpful to both my mother and her family and friends. The home was incredibly clean and tidy, and always smelled homely. The friendly activity team did all they could to include my mother in all activities. It would be a huge benefit if the garden were more accessible for residents. There were a few occasions when male residents came into my mother's room, which made her feel very unsafe. This needs to be addressed.
Both my relatives have settled in very well and the security provided by them being residents is very comforting. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
I am extremely happy with the care my father is receiving at Aldringham Court. After a few very unsettling years, my father has found peace in its beautiful surroundings. The staff could not be more caring towards my father and are always very welcoming when I visit. Dad is included in a wide range of activities that take place at home, and I love seeing the photos posted on their social media page of what they get up to. The nursing staff are very professional and are always willing to discuss Dad's health and well-being. Dad enjoys the 'home cooked meals' and I am very grateful for the time and effort spent on his birthday. The special birthday cake and gifts made his day. It is a lovely place for my father's last years. Thank you.
Very friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere the rooms are a nice size with en suite with a view into a nice garden im glad that my dad is spending his days here nothing is too much trouble for the staff
Met at reception with a smile. Was pleasantly surprised to meet my family member looking so well. The care he has been given has enhanced the quality of his life greatly. He no longer needs assistance to walk - his diet has improved and so too has his strength. He is engaging with the other residents and partaking in activities, painting being his favourite. It is such a relief to know he is happy the worry we had is gone.
Very welcoming by staff, nothing is to much trouble. Always willing to listen and very compassionate towards patient and family. Rooms are very large and comfortable. Always offered a drink on arrival.
Travelled from Ireland to visit my brother for the second time, I am pleased that he has adapted to his new surroundings very well. All staff are very professional and caring in the way they handle each resident during the course of their shift. We were made to feel very welcome each time we arrived. This is an excellent facility.
My husband died in April didn't even ring & tell me although they had but I wasn't there but never even left a message too ring them, my step daughter turned up at 10.45 to see her dad still never said anything too her she went too his room only too find him past, she was traumatised poor girl then she rang and told me my husband had died so from 9am till she rang me I never heard anything. I am so upset we were treated this way, disgusted!!! I wrote them a letter, but got no reply.

Meet the Team (5)

I enjoy getting to know our residents and their families, ensuring everyone feels safe, supported and valued while leading a dedicated team committed to providing outstanding care. I have worked in care since 1999, gaining experience across nursing, residential and dementia care.

Prior to working at Healthcare Homes, Elaine was an Activities/Health Care Assistant.
Elaine believes you need to be kind, compassionate and understanding, to have a good understanding of dementia and the needs of the very ill and frail and to have an understanding of equality and diversity.
The favourite part of her working day is going to the resident’s rooms for one-to-one talks and also enjoys organising entertainment and watching and taking part.
Elaine's biggest professional challenge was changing from her carer role to activities and her biggest career highlight is getting the home ready for Christmas and organising events for the residents.
The qualities that make Elaine stand out are to be kind, compassionate and understanding. Be a good listener and a good role model for the team
Outside of work Elaine enjoys walking, gardening, crafting, sewing, crochet, knitting, swimming and spending time with family.
Her most enjoyable part of working at Aldringham Court is making a difference to an individual’s day; just a little smile or reassurance.

I take pride in keeping our home safe, welcoming and looking its very best for residents, families and visitors. With 25 years' engineering experience, including 20 years in care homes and hospitals, I love working alongside our fantastic team and helping to create a comfortable environment for everyone.

I love getting to know our residents and creating fun, meaningful activities for everyone to enjoy. With over 10 years' experience in care and a background in event planning, I'm passionate about making every day special for those who call Aldringham Court home.

I joined Aldringham Court in 2016 and have worked in care since 2008, after completing my Nursing Degree in Romania in 2007. I enjoy supporting our wonderful team and building strong relationships with our residents and their families to ensure everyone receives compassionate, person-centred care. I am currently working towards my Level 5 Diploma in Adult Care Leadership and Management.
