Aldringham Court provides excellent care in a lovely setting near Aldeburgh, known for its connection to Benjamin Britten and the well-known Aldeburgh Music Festival. Only two miles from the Suffolk Heritage Coast, residents can enjoy regular trips to the seaside.

My mother was cared for in Aldringham Court following a catastrophic stroke in October 2012. It is a testament to the quality of care she received that she continued to live very comfortably until December 2019, over seven years afterwards, when old age finally caught up with her. My mother was quite
a character and her situation did nothing to diminish her sense of humour which was appreciated over the years by several members of staff who I can honestly say became very fond of her. Thank you very much for everything you did.

My wife was only in for a short time but the care she was given was so good I could not believe it was second to none. It was first class all the way. Unfortunately, my wife passed away. It was very hard to leave her at night but I could go home because the team would take care of her at all "cost".

Mum moved into Aldringham in May and every month has become more at home, this is 100% down to the care team here, such a friendly caring team. With so many activities here too. Mum has flourished and made new friends and she has got her sparkle back.

I think all the staff are very caring and efficient, very polite and helpful. The room is very comfortable, lovely and light and airy.
They are all very hospitable toward us! I would recommend Aldringham Court to all my friends! The laundry lady is very efficient, all very clean, the food is very good,

Mum was transferred to Aldringham Court in November 2016 from hospital where she was recovering having been neglected in a previous care home.
She was still very weak and it was questionable whether she would survive the journey.
Now 2 years down the line, thanks to the care and dedication of the
staff, Mum is in a much better way. Although bedridden, she receives regular checks to assist her fluid and solid intake to ensure she never becomes dehydrated again.
Mum is a very special person and enjoys a friendly relationship with all the staff.
Always ready to talk to family, the staff keep us well informed of Mum's condition, knowing that Mum is receiving the best possible care is a great comfort to the family.

This has been a momentous month. Mum was 100 on the 3rd of November. So much help has been given by Aldringham Court to mark this special event, including a letter from the Queen very early on and assistance helping the family to organise a lunchtime 100th celebration.
Aldringham Court laid on a
driver to transport my mother and mother in law to this event, so helpful. Thank you so much for your help in so many ways. On return from birthday out, my mother returned to a momentous afternoon at Aldringham Court, with entertainments, decoration '100' banners and ballroom and a birthday cake.
So many cards, presents and good wishes from residents and staff. A memorable day!
My mother loves living at Aldringham Court and the level of care and support from all staff.
She flourishes with people to talk to and activities, care and humour. She has never been happier to have so many positive inputs. It is a joy to visit. Thank you.
She also enjoys the food! Home from home!

Very little was known on arrival and we had to ask many, many questions over a few weeks.
It took a few months to establish routines, ie. showering, linen changing. Now OK.
Staff are very caring and kind. The food is good.
Activities are varied and fun.
A very good nursing service. Always warm and
staff welcoming and friendly to us and Mum.

The home provides a good quality care service for the level of the task undertaken. The food quality is good and the amount generous.

It is like a home from home. I am very happy here. All the women and men that help me are all very helpful at any time. I trust them and when one is absent I miss them.

My experience of the home service is good, professional staff and very helpful. It's ideal for visiting, so near to our home. Residents at the home are so friendly.

My brother has been at Aldringham Court for two and a half years. He suffered from Alzheimer's and has been unable to speak for over five years. He also has Parkinson's disease. All the nurses and carers are extremely caring in every way. They do a wonderful job and are really supportive to me. The
manager's office staff are also really helpful and all give their time.

I was very impressed by the care that my father received at Aldringham Court. The staff were unfailingly kind, compassionate and humane. Despite having had a stroke and suffering from dementia it was not just his medical needs and personal care which were well looked after. The staff all took the time
to talk to him and reach out to him as a person. My father enjoyed the food and the afternoon entertainment, which were sometimes very adventurous and featured snakes! Families and visitors were always welcomed and many of us were regulars and local which added to the family atmosphere.

Elaine really enjoys working with the elderly, she finds it so rewarding and loves her role.
Prior to working at Healthcare Homes, Elaine was an Activities/Health Care Assistant.
Elaine believes you need to be kind, compassionate and understanding, to have a good understanding of dementia and the needs of the very ill and frail and to have an understanding of equality and diversity.
The favourite part of her working day is going to the resident’s rooms for one-to-one talks and also enjoys organising entertainment and watching and taking part.
Elaine's biggest professional challenge was changing from her carer role to activities and her biggest career highlight is getting the home ready for Christmas and organising events for the residents.
