After our mum had been in hospital for six months February-August 24, we needed a nice home for her as Muum has many needs. We were offered Aldringham Court but thought it would be too far away, but we went to look at it, and on arrival, as soon as we saw the grounds and the inside, we were amazed.
The room was lovely and all the staff were friendly. Mum has been in for two weeks nearly and has settled in. All staff and management are really nice and caring and definitely made Mum at home. Every visit Mum has been better and we are very thankful.

When we visited Aldringham Court we found the home welcoming, homely and friendly. Staff seemed happy, helpful and caring towards residents and relatives. Reading the notice boards there are plenty of interesting activities for residents to get involved in and it is good that relatives are welcome to

My mother was in Aldringham Court for three weeks following a stroke. She was 95.
The kindness, respect and care that all the staff gave to her was superb.
The kindness and care they showed me, as her daughter, was second to none. Making sure I was ok and fed and watered in the hours I was sitting
with Mummy.

My parents (both mum and dad) have been at the home for a few months and on every visit (which is a 5-hour drive from Somerset) I have been made to feel very welcome and all the staff have been so helpful and courteous. Mum and dad are so well looked after and are very happy considering their ill health.
The food is amazing and always hot and healthy. I feel safe in the knowledge that my parents are safe and well cared for considering the distance they are from me.

My father had urgent need for care after discharge from hospital and the home rose to the challenge of addressing this need. My father enquired on the Friday, I visited the home on the Saturday. The home manager came out to assess my father on the Sunday and my father was admitted to the home early
afternoon on the Monday. The manager and staff have since made my father feel really welcomed and safe in his new surroundings. I could not have asked for a more professional and caring service.

We were grateful to Aldringham Court for caring for our mum (age 94) for 2 weeks' respite after 3 weeks in hospital. The manager was lovely - exceedingly person-centered and has plans for improving facilities and gardens. The staff were polite, kind and respectful.
Nice building and lovely furnishings.
I would like to hope that all the manager's plans for a family room, a better minibus, nice gardens etc all come to fruition.
I thought some of the staff needed more leadership - some were new and lacked confidence. I was not sure who everybody was and their different roles.

As a family, we have been very pleased with the care that Mum has received at Aldringham Court.
The staff have been very attentive and we cannot praise the manager enough. The home is kept spotlessly clean and food has been very good indeed. All in all, we would give the home, staff and manager 10/10.

I enjoy working with such wonderful residents and being part of a supportive team in a home full of character. I enrich residents’ lives by listening to their needs and striving to make sure the home is always filled with care and attention. I have undertaken numerous courses and studies, including management qualifications and a BSc in Psychology, alongside my mandatory training, and I am committed to continuing my learning to further improve my skills.

Elaine really enjoys working with the elderly, she finds it so rewarding and loves her role.
Prior to working at Healthcare Homes, Elaine was an Activities/Health Care Assistant.
Elaine believes you need to be kind, compassionate and understanding, to have a good understanding of dementia and the needs of the very ill and frail and to have an understanding of equality and diversity.
The favourite part of her working day is going to the resident’s rooms for one-to-one talks and also enjoys organising entertainment and watching and taking part.
Elaine's biggest professional challenge was changing from her carer role to activities and her biggest career highlight is getting the home ready for Christmas and organising events for the residents.
