Set within three acres of beautiful gardens and woodland near Aldeburgh, Aldringham Court provides compassionate, person-centred residential and respite care in a peaceful setting just two miles from the Suffolk Heritage Coast.
The Grade II listed building combines historic character with comfortable accommodation and spacious communal areas. Bedrooms are generously sized, many with en-suite facilities, garden views, and private terraces. Residents are encouraged to bring personal furniture and belongings to make each room feel like home.
The dedicated team takes time to get to know each resident, providing care and support shaped around individual needs, preferences, and routines, while promoting dignity, choice, and independence.
A varied programme of activities and entertainment offers residents opportunities to continue existing interests, try new experiences, and spend time with others. The home also maintains strong links with the local community, with events throughout the year bringing together residents, families, and local visitors.
The extensive grounds are a particular feature of Aldringham Court, with well-kept gardens, woodland, and an abundance of wildlife, including doves, pheasants, and muntjac deer. The location near Aldeburgh and the Suffolk coast also offers opportunities for trips to the seaside and the surrounding area for residents.
Fresh meals are prepared each day, with a choice of dishes available and individual dietary requirements and preferences for each resident taken into account. Visiting professionals include a hairdresser, chiropodist, and physiotherapist, alongside visits from local clergy.
Aldringham Court also offers short-term respite care, providing the same personalised care and support in a welcoming environment, whether a resident is recovering after a hospital stay, requires additional support for a period of time, or would benefit from a short stay at the home.

My mum has been here for over 2 years now and is very happy and content. All staff are very friendly, kind and caring. We can visit at any time and when we do the staff are all very welcoming. The facilities are good, mum has a lovely warm room with ensuite toilet and washbasin and this is kept spotlessly clean. On the whole mum enjoys her food and the chef makes delicious cakes! Several activities are organised for the residents to join in and entertainment is regularly organised which the residents enjoy, including a Summer fete and Christmas party.

Elaine really enjoys working with the elderly, she finds it so rewarding and loves her role.Prior to working at Healthcare Homes, Elaine was an Activities/Health Care Assistant.
Elaine believes you need to be kind, compassionate and understanding, to have a good understanding of dementia and the needs of the very ill and frail and to have an understanding of equality and diversity.
The favourite part of her working day is going to the resident’s rooms for one-to-one talks and also enjoys organising entertainment and watching and taking part.
Elaine's biggest professional challenge was changing from her carer role to activities and her biggest career highlight is getting the home ready for Christmas and organising events for the residents.
The qualities that make Elaine stand out are to be kind, compassionate and understanding. Be a good listener and a good role model for the team
Outside of work Elaine enjoys walking, gardening, crafting, sewing, crochet, knitting, swimming and spending time with family.
Her most enjoyable part of working at Aldringham Court is making a difference to an individual’s day; just a little smile or reassurance.

I have been the Administrator at Aldringham Court since 2017 and love coming to such a beautiful place to work. I really enjoy my role and being part of a great team that feels like one big family. I love supporting residents with their everyday needs, from arranging a taxi to enjoying a simple cuppa and biscuit together. Getting to know our residents and their families is one of my favourite parts of the role. Before joining Aldringham Court, I worked at Sizewell B for Westinghouse and Rolls-Royce, before becoming a Business Support Manager for Suffolk County Council. I have also completed my Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management.
