The dedicated team takes time to get to know each resident, providing care and support shaped around individual needs, preferences, and routines, while promoting dignity, choice, and independence.
A varied programme of activities and entertainment offers residents opportunities to continue existing interests, try new experiences, and spend time with others. The home also maintains strong links with the local community, with events throughout the year bringing together residents, families, and local visitors.
The extensive grounds are a particular feature of Aldringham Court, with well-kept gardens, woodland, and an abundance of wildlife, including doves, pheasants, and muntjac deer. The location near Aldeburgh and the Suffolk coast also offers opportunities for trips to the seaside and the surrounding area for residents.
Fresh meals are prepared each day, with a choice of dishes available and individual dietary requirements and preferences for each resident taken into account. Visiting professionals include a hairdresser, chiropodist, and physiotherapist, alongside visits from local clergy.
Aldringham Court also offers short-term respite care, providing the same personalised care and support in a welcoming environment, whether a resident is recovering after a hospital stay, requires additional support for a period of time, or would benefit from a short stay at the home.

When we visited Aldringham Court we found the home welcoming, homely and friendly. Staff seemed happy, helpful and caring towards residents and relatives. My mother has been a resident now for two years. The care and support she has received has been excellent. Her needs and requirements are always being assessed.

My parents (both mum and dad) have been at the home for a few months and on every visit (which is a 5-hour drive from Somerset) I have been made to feel very welcome and all the staff have been so helpful and courteous. Mum and dad are so well looked after and are very happy considering their ill health. The food is amazing and always hot and healthy. I feel safe in the knowledge that my parents are safe and well cared for considering the distance they are from me.

My father had urgent need for care after discharge from hospital and the home rose to the challenge of addressing this need. My father enquired on the Friday, I visited the home on the Saturday. The home manager came out to assess my father on the Sunday and my father was admitted to the home early afternoon on the Monday. The manager and staff have since made my father feel really welcomed and safe in his new surroundings. I could not have asked for a more professional and caring service.

We were grateful to Aldringham Court for caring for our mum (age 94) for 2 weeks' respite after 3 weeks in hospital. The manager was lovely - exceedingly person-centered and has plans for improving facilities and gardens. The staff were polite, kind and respectful.

I thought some of the staff needed more leadership - some were new and lacked confidence. I was not sure who everybody was and their different roles.

Over seven years, my husband has been once a year for two weeks of respite to give me a break. As soon as I arrived with my husband to show him around the nursing home, I was so impressed with how we were received. Staff were excellent, could not do enough, we were taken "everywhere". A lovely home, my family visited my husband while I was away and all said staff fell over themselves to help and care for him. I know he enjoyed it by what my family saw, he played me up so I know staff had a hard time with him. I would love to have my husband in Aldringham Court in June.

I love supporting residents with their everyday needs, from arranging a taxi to enjoying a simple cuppa and biscuit together.
