Aldringham Court provides excellent care in a lovely setting near Aldeburgh, known for its connection to Benjamin Britten and the well-known Aldeburgh Music Festival. Only two miles from the Suffolk Heritage Coast, residents can enjoy regular trips to the seaside.

Everyone kind and friendly, helpful in every way. Always drink whenever wanted, food anytime, I would like more fresh vegetables but otherwise good variety of meals and fruit when wanted. My room is very cosy and homely, would not want any other. Instead of sandwiches at supper, it would be nice to
have beans or cheese on toast for a change.

As a family, we are very satisfied with the care my father is receiving. We are always made welcome and nothing is too much trouble for the staff in general. The food is of a high standard and I feel that he is in very safe hands at Aldringham Court.

The Manager and her Deputy were incredibly supportive to my Mother in organising respite care at very short notice; they were both so empathetic, humorous and caring. The care staff were excellent, caring and considerate.
Food was excellent, my Father was able to have his main meal with my Mother each
day. Facilities very comfortable, a room with a view. Maintenance staff were very obliging.
Overall, nothing was too much trouble, the two-week respite was so comforting in providing security at a time of unexpected ill health following a fall. All staff were smile and friendly, warm and welcoming.
A sincere thank you to the Manager and her Team. A special mention is needed for the Manager-she is absolutely fantastic.

My dad has been here since December 2017 and he is far better here than anywhere else. The care is very good, friendly and welcoming to family and friends. Dad is for better here than when he was in the hospital he is happy and relieved. We are all very happy with my dad's care.

The home is very well run and managed to a very high standard. All staff play a big part in this.
My father is very well cared for and treated with the utmost respect.
His room is always clean and tidy and kept to a very high standard.
The food is excellent and he loves his meals. Any problems that
have occurred have been dealt with quickly and efficiently and always to our satisfaction. All the staff are amazing.

My husband joined Aldringham Court in January 2017. He was welcomed with much thoughtful kindness.
(He had brain damage following an accident). However great improvements appear to be happening, an indication that he is happy and feels safe.
The carers are unfailingly 'wonderful'.

Mum has been at the home for two years now and has been well looked after during that time.
Mum is a very private person and can be confused, so found it hard to adjust to the change in her circumstances, initially.
However, the staff are excellent and treat her with compassion and dignity, and encourage
her to be as independent as possible, within her capabilities.
Visiting is anytime, which is a real bonus. The staff are always very welcoming to us and other family members.
The atmosphere in the home is always relaxed and friendly, and the new manager is very capable, friendly and approachable.
In the short time the home manager has been in post, there have been positive changes to the routine care of the residents. Standards, in general, are also being addressed. Queries I have raised were dealt with promptly. This positive approach is heartening.
It gives me peace of mind to know that Mum is in a safe and happy environment and respected for herself. Thank you All.

I now feel things are getting better at Aldringham Court with the new manager. She is now on top of everything and seems to get things moving, in the short time she has been there. Have just met the deputy manager and she seems very focused. The food is and looks very nice and hot and mum enjoys it.

The home has improvements to make. Staffing levels, continuity and cleanliness, nursing attention to be shared/help for carers.
The home desperately needs work doing outside on the grounds, a good tidy up.
The response time for carers/nurses sorting problems needs to be quicker and better.
More
information required for what staff are on each day and their duties, need to know more info on what happens with individual residents.
I don't know how much is being done for my mother at times.

My husband moved to Aldringham Court in April 2016 from another nursing home. I am very happy with the care he is receiving and I appreciate the caring attitude towards me too. He is calm and relaxed, well groomed, clean and dressed. He has many nursing needs and these are well addressed. There is a
happy atmosphere at Aldringham Court the staff greet me and talk to me and are kind to the patients. The manager is friendly and approachable and efficient.

I came here from hospital for convalescence prior to going home. I was initially unhappy about not being able to be discharged home. After settling in for two days I realised how lovely it is here. I was reluctant for my husband to go from hospital into a nursing home, but needs must. I realised he needed more care than he could have at home, even with 2 agency carers, 4 times daily and myself on hand all the time. My son and I went just to look at Aldringham Court. We really scrutinised the place.
We were not only satisfied with what we saw but knew this was it. It proved to be very homely, welcoming, well trained and kind staff. He had a very pleasant room of his own, also near the nursing station. I spent time with him every day from morning until night. He was always kept clean, shaved and dressed like I wanted him to be. I have no hesitation in recommending this home from home.

I have been caring for my friend for over six years with many changes, re management, staffing and the home being extended. My friend loves her room and is content to enjoy her own company despite many opportunities to associate with residents and staff. I had considered moving her to a different home
at one stage, but can honestly say I am glad I didn't. This was due to the very kind help and understanding received from management at that time, who met all the needs that was very unhappy about at that point. Having had so many managers almost seven years (of all characters), I am so pleased with our current manager, from day one I really feel included, from my observations, the home is again the friendly caring and happy home it used to be. The carers are brilliant.

Lovely staff, good management. They try very hard to get it right. My mother, then aged 92 and dying, 18 months on and almost 94 has learned to walk with a frame and is able to enjoy some quality of life again!

Elaine really enjoys working with the elderly, she finds it so rewarding and loves her role.
Prior to working at Healthcare Homes, Elaine was an Activities/Health Care Assistant.
Elaine believes you need to be kind, compassionate and understanding, to have a good understanding of dementia and the needs of the very ill and frail and to have an understanding of equality and diversity.
The favourite part of her working day is going to the resident’s rooms for one-to-one talks and also enjoys organising entertainment and watching and taking part.
Elaine's biggest professional challenge was changing from her carer role to activities and her biggest career highlight is getting the home ready for Christmas and organising events for the residents.
