The home is well placed for road and rail links and the staff cannot do enough for the residents. They have recently put a daily activity list together for the residents and they also have weekly outings for those that can cope with this.

The rooftop garden has been refurbished and the residents enjoy being able to sit out there and have their tea and ice cream.

Very professional friendly staff - very clean - food good - a lovely place where I am confident my mother will be safe and happy. I have just moved her from a care home as I wanted staff on hand who were medically qualified so if she gets any health problems they will be able to treat them promptly. She had very swollen legs when she moved here but have noticed that after a couple of weeks they have gone down considerably. I have taken her home for some tea and the staff are quite happy for her to go with me whenever. I feel sure she will be happy here for some time to come.

My mother's care over many years has been first class. The carers, nurses and management have been extremely supportive, knowledgeable and attentive. There is a very close relationship and bond between my mother and carers and all my mother's needs are met. Staff and carers spend much time with my mother, feeding, toileting and cleaning and lots of verbal interaction. There is a genuine love from all carers.

I would like to thank everyone in Waverley suite for their care and consideration in looking after my husband who has been with you since March 2017, after a traumatic time from December 2016 when he had several mini strokes and went to hosptial. My son and I visited Summer Lane and were very impressed. My husband is always clean and tidy and appears t be settled.

My ageing mother (>100years), having been a resident in a local residential nursing home required nursing care and we relocated her to Summer Lane. Our selection could not have been better.
The facilities were ideally suited for Mum, and she soon settled into her room.
The staff, from management, nursing, carers, to laundry and cleaning, of which there were many, most importantly were highly professional, well trained, caring and very attentive to her needs.
Unfortunately Mum passed away and we then found the staff to be very supportive to family members at this very sad time.

I can only confirm we would have no difficulty recommending Summer Lane to anybody. The home provided an excellent service to Mum and support to us during her stay there.

My mother moved from a nursing home in our town six miles down the M5 to Summer Lane in Weston Super Mare. She moved into her new 'Home' and from the first moment that she became a resident, the care and attention she received was absolutely amazing. All the Staff were kind, attentive and very caring. One of the lead practitioners in the residence is an extraordinary person and is such a natural in her job that I never felt perturbed when I left mum's room to go home after a visit. Unfortunately, due to my mother's illness, she sadly passed away on the 12th of July after only a short, about 3 1/2 weeks, of being cared for at an extraordinarily high level. Thank you Summer Lane.

Mum had Alzheimer's and for the last 2.5 years of her life, she was resident in Summer Lane Nursing Home. It’s fair to say that there were one or two issues, in the beginning, however since the new Manager has been there, things have only improved to the standard it is now at, which in my opinion, is probably the best care facility in Weston-super-Mare. The food is lovely. The whole place is clean, and well cared for. It is on standard with a four star hotel. But the best praise is reserved for the staff. Their care and love for the residents makes it a home in every sense. Mum was happy, felt loved and was safe there.

The home was not only a home and family for mum but the rest of the family were included. We could come and go at anytime and were always made to feel part of the ‘family’. This is borne out by the fact that my sister-in- law still pops in to visit even though mum has since passed. We all have a fear of care homes but if that is the standard I could look forward to, I would be happy to move in tomorrow. There is always a hug for someone who needs it!!

My aunt has been a resident for the last 6 months. The care has been excellent and we are really pleased with the home. The purpose built facilities are amazing and make it so much easier to take her in a wheelchair around this home. Staff are very kind and always finds the time to be helpful.

My mother has been at the homes for 2months, she is 93years old this year and is very frail.
The care and support she had received for her short-term memory loss has been very challenging for all the staff. They have constantly, responded tremendously, treating her with the utmost care and dignity. She is always well dressed and looking respectable.

I feel she is safe and well looked after in a caring environment and treated with love and respect. Thank you.

Mum is always clean with clean clothes and dressed nicely. All the staff are very caring and always talk to the lady as they pass. Her room is spotless. It is a shame that mum can't stop to do any activities as I'm sure she would love them.
