Although Mum is not happy here, this can be said of every care home she has been in. Sadly, this is probably part of her condition and I do not personally believe that things are as bad as she makes out!

Most of the staff are attentive and supportive. A larger variety of menu choices would be appreciated, I think.

It is always a pleasure to visit this bright and cheerful home. I have been made to feel most welcome by the staff. The meals are good and wholesome from a personal point of view I should like to see more variety in the vegetables but maybe that's just me! The patients are not always offered wet wipes before their meals. In the interest of cleanliness, I think this is important.

My mother has only just arrived in the care home, although we were all very upset about her moving out of her home. She seems to be quite content here, the nurses are lovely and there is always something going on to keep mum occupied. The rooms are small but homely.

The home looks clean and tidy and staff are polite and helpful. Rooms are able to be personalised and as homely as possible given the space available. Activities are available but are not always to mothers taste. She enjoys the pampering and bingo. The food sounds nice but sometimes the vegetables are harder than is liked.

My mum moved to Oaktree a year ago, it was difficult decision to place mum in a care home but from the first conversation with the Deputy Manager I was reassured that their purpose was to care for my mum and the team has really demonstrated that and this has given me great comfort. They quickly got to know her and her likes and dislikes and have made her new home very comfortable. They contact me immediate to ask questions or provide information about her health, even using video call to show her how a mobile phone worked.

When I visit I see how they care for residents with in some cases progressive dementia with patience and compassion. I'd like to thank all the staff, keep up the great work. Your CQC result is well deserved.

Overall Experience
My dad came to Oaktree mid May, dad first came as respite but after a few weeks it became permanent.
We know the staff at Oaktree very well on the snowdrop unit as my sweet Nan had been loved and cared for there.
Nan came to stay as end of life as doctors had thought Nan would pass within a few weeks, 5 years later Nan passed, the love and care my Nan received was amazing, my Nan was part of the family and that's how it felt at all times. Even during the hard covid pandemic when we couldn't go to see Nan one of the amazing managers gave me his number and I got to see Nan on a video call, they went up and above during such a hard time and made sure as a top priority my Nan and others were made to be priorities.

So when dad went to stay we knew already how amazing the Oaktree family was, my dad was looked after so well, he was always clean and tidy and even on really difficult days shown great patients. We are so so grateful to each and everyone at Oaktree. Thank you all.

I arrived at approximately 4 pm. Plenty of space in the car park. A lovely male member of staff was holding the door for us. Oaktree is always clean, tidy and presentable. The staff here are truly wonderful and cannot do enough for you. I had a memorable and uplifting conversation with Nana this afternoon. Nana was telling me how kind and caring everyone is. This gives me great comfort and solace when I leave as I know she is treated like the queen she is. Thank you all.

Management is great and so are most of the staff. There are a few that have an 'I don't care' attitude.
Activities for mobile residents are fantastic however those that are bedridden are left out most of the time.

Food options are lacking and staff don't take the time to wait for answers.

I’ve been part of the home since 2016 and have made it my mission to keep a close eye on everything (usually from a sunny spot or a nearby chair!). My favourite things about living here are all the lovely food I’m given and the many warm, comfortable laps I get to curl up on throughout the day.

I like to think I brighten everyone’s day by offering plenty of cuddles, gentle purrs, and the occasional visit when someone needs a little extra company. Whether I’m sitting beside a resident or quietly supervising the daily activities, I always try to bring a bit of calm and happiness to the home. While I haven’t completed any formal training, I’m naturally very talented at providing comfort, companionship, and excellent cuddle support.
