We found the staff to be very polite and helpful and very understanding of the needs of the residents. The rooms are kept to a very high standard of cleanliness and the layout of the building is very easy to get around.
All meals were excellent, with a great selection. A big thank you to all the staff
that made the stay for our parents a pleasant one.

My dad became a resident here in January 21. I found the staff got to know and understand him and his needs very well. His time at Oaktree, although not ideal due to the issues surrounding Covid, was made, by the staff, to be as happy as could be. I cannot praise the staff more for the care, support,
love and yes, fun banter with Dad.
Dad was in great hands and I felt so supported in some challenging times.
Communication was excellent and they helped understand and assist in Dad's needs whenever possible.
They made my last 16 months with dad as happy as possible for us, whilst handling the Covid situation with great care and caution for all.
Fantastic team, love to all of them and huge thanks.

OakTree is a wonderful home. Offering nursing care in a well run compassionate environment. My father's care was amazing, Primrose unit was exceptional. All members of the team took great pride in their jobs. The food looked really good, and the residents could enjoy several different activities.

The care provided by OakTree has been amazing. The staff cared for Dad like he was their own family. He wanted for nothing, he was kept comfortable, clean, safe and warm. The staff respond quickly to change in circumstances/needs and kept us fully informed every step of Dads journey.

Staff made me feel welcome during an evening visit. I was offered a cup of tea after bringing some cake for my nan and grandad to share old photos.
Staff shared information about what had been happening over the last week - ie. games, arts and crafts etc.

I'm not able to comment on facilities or activities because of Covid restrictions and because Mum was quite poorly when she entered the home. She had a nice room and in her coherent moments, she said that the food was good. the staff are al very nice and helpful The care that she received from the nursing
staff and carers were excellent. I felt that I had formed good relationships with all of the staff members. In between visits the staff keep me informed when required and update me during visits. Mum had advanced dementia and she died recently. The staff continued to be helpful and comforting.

OakTree provided support and a friendly level of care. The staff treated my father with kindness and were polite. My dad did not feel his best interests were ever overlooked. Everyone within OakTree diligently applied Covid protocols, keeping residents, staff and visitors safe. There were some challenges
when dealing with a family member, and OakTree alwats acted with professionalism and courtesy.

Because my sister came into the care home during the virus, I haven't been able to visit, but on every occasion, I've rung the carers, they have been very friendly and caring. There are areas I haven't seen, so I cannot answer.

The unit manager and her team on Snowdrop have been amazing.
My mother has now had 1 year in Snowdrop and whilst I realise things have been very difficult with Covid and a takeover, it has continued as I would expect.

Dad and I are confident that over the last year, Mum has been cared for by professional, kind and patient staff. We have full confidence in their gentle treatment of Mum and we can not fault them.
We have not visited Mum in her room for a few months since 'lockdown' but when visits did recommence these
took place in a side garden which was the best compromise that could be arranged.
Mum still describes the food as "So-so".
From the outside, the garden and borders appear neglected which indicates that all financial resources are spent on residents' care.
During 'Lockdown' Dad was notified by letter from new management that fees would be increased very shortly by several hundred pounds a year which we both felt very disappointed and shocked about. Like thousands of families in the UK, Care Home fees are heartbreaking at an already emotionally stressful time.

My father had lived at this home for two and a half years before he passed away recently.
The staff on Primrose who looked after him provided exceptional care and often went above and beyond to not only meet his needs but ours too.
We were welcomed into the home and made to feel part of the family.
From the moment we walked in, nothing was too much trouble.
Dad made some very close relationships with the staff, who truly cared for him and about him. We had no reservations as a family leaving him in their care.
This home has given dad a kind, caring, compassionate and professional experience of what care should look like, right up to his passing.
Our family continued to be supported even after he passed away.
I would have no hesitations in recommending the staff working on Primrose to anyone who is looking for exceptional care.

This is an extremely excellent home, resident staff are kind, caring and sympathetic. My brother, who is the resident, has been at Oak Tree for almost 20 years and has been nursed back from the Coronavirus for which I am so very grateful.

My husband was here for the last year of his life. I have been constantly impressed with the standard of care in the dementia nursing unit. He was treated with dignity, great skill, and lots of love and care by the staff. He responded well to fun and teasing, and the staff were quick to pick up on that.
There were little touches, like them moving photos we had stuck on the wall to be in his line of sight so that he could enjoy them. They were patient with him, kept him safe, and adapted to his ever-changing needs, I enjoyed visiting and still feel very fond of what very much became his home.
