The staff that look after my dad are warm, kind and funny. I feel he is well looked after. The staff try to include my dad in activities.

The manager and staff have checked in with me and my mum and informed us of how he has been.

The care my husband has received is kind, respectful and of a high standard. All the staff are friendly, interested in the residents and give excellent care. Due to his condition, my husband resists personal care which needs patience and this is shown in a gentle way. When he arrived in Oaktree he couldn't walk, or feed himself and was doubly incontinent due to being in bed in his previous home. Within days in Oaktree he was walking, feeding himself and using the toilet. Occasionally little things crop up but I can always talk to the staff who go out of their way to see to it.

Mum is content and settled at Oaktree. I arrived today to find Mum enjoying a sing-a-long with other residents. Lovely to see and hear Mum (and everyone else) sing the golden oldies. Oaktree staff keep us informed on Mum's well-being/health. Staff have got to know Mum and Mum is very much treated as an individual and I am often touched by this. As with all care establishments, Oaktree can be overstretched with client/staff ratio, but the team are loving and hardworking.

My mother has been in Oaktree for 5 months now and I am so pleased that I chose this home. The staff are very kind and take time to listen to my mum. I have been impressed with their patience even over small things like helping my mum to choose what she would like to eat for lunch. If there are any concerns it is always possible to talk to someone who will help. The manager and the deputy manager are very approachable and have managed to sort out any concerns quickly with good solutions. I always feel very welcome when visiting and the staff treat my mum as an individual not just another resident. My mother likes all the different daily activities which are organised especially with the variety of people who come in to give them new experiences. This can be visiting alpacas, singers and even dancers. It is wonderful for them to look forward to these events and have something to talk about afterwards with visitors or in their coffee mornings.

My husband has been a resident in Oaktree for fifteen months. My family and myself are very pleased with the care and attention he receives. The staff are wonderful even though at times he can be quite challenging as his dementia is quite advanced. We are always kept up to date with any health issues or problems.

I have been visiting my auntie at the Oaktree Care Home since January 2020. My auntie has been well cared for since the beginning. Each member of staff understands her needs and treats her with care. She is kept clean at all times. The staff have been friendly towards her and me. I'm always kept up to date with any changes to her condition or adjustments to medication. Her room is always clean as are other areas of the home.

Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Activity staff are always encouraging. Food can be hit and miss with choice and quality. If residents can't eat the two choices, they should be offered an alternative otherwise meals can be missed. More tea/coffee should be offered throughout the day. Clothing can be misplaced in the laundry area, despite each item being labelled.

Staff and management went above and beyond to help Mum settle in. They are always very friendly when I visit and interact with the residents well too. Anything I have asked about has always been done and I am always informed of any information or situation when needed.

Mum has settled in very well and is happy living at Oaktree, and I am very confident in the care Mum is receiving.

I have been in a couple of times to visit my friend and am heartened by the home. It feels so welcoming, homely, clean (smells good) and the staff seem so caring. My friend is so settled there and seems so happy. If my parents were at the stage where they needed this type of care, I would definitely consider Oaktree! Keep up the good work. Rooms are a good size, food looks great and loved all the decorations, so colourful.

Mum has been a resident at Oaktree for nearly 3 years a difficult settling-in period because of covid restrictions at the beginning. Staff are always kind and respectful, visitors made to feel welcome. Huge support to Mum and our whole family after the sudden loss of my sister from all care staff/management. They are always busy and dementia care is challenging to say the least, care staff go out of their way to ensure every resident is treated with dignity and care. Communication at all times has been excellent.

My father was in Oaktree for 3 years.
During this time staff were very accommodating to his ways.
During the last 6 months of his life, the care and love that was shown to Geoffrey was outstanding.
The respect shown to my family was excellent. We felt that he was surrounded by love.

Thank you, just thank you from all the family.

I’ve been part of the home since 2016 and have made it my mission to keep a close eye on everything (usually from a sunny spot or a nearby chair!). My favourite things about living here are all the lovely food I’m given and the many warm, comfortable laps I get to curl up on throughout the day.

I like to think I brighten everyone’s day by offering plenty of cuddles, gentle purrs, and the occasional visit when someone needs a little extra company. Whether I’m sitting beside a resident or quietly supervising the daily activities, I always try to bring a bit of calm and happiness to the home. While I haven’t completed any formal training, I’m naturally very talented at providing comfort, companionship, and excellent cuddle support.
