Memory lane is secure, so, as family, we know Mum is not able to wander off. Food is excellent, activities are every day and varied and looking out into the gardens gives a lot of pleasure.
Thank you for taking the time to leave this review and to feedback on your lovely comments. Our residents are at the heart of all we do and to read that you feel your mum is treated with compassion and dignity is something that I will look forward to sharing with the staff team here at Kenwyn. Your words mean a lot to us and again, thank you.
Mum, who has dementia, has been at Kenwyn for a couple of years now. The staff work tirelessly to care for all the residents and meet their individual needs. I am always met with a smile and I find they listen to suggestions and act on them when they can. I have been kept well informed of any changes in mum's health and my consent is always asked for when changes are needed. The staff are continually looking for ways to engage with the residents and keep them as happy as possible.

I approached the home to enquire about a two-week respite stay, post-operative convalescence and care, for my mother-in-law. From start to finish, we were all treated with care, compassion and dignity. My mother-in-law was very well cared for and even said she would come back again - this is a real compliment to the staff who cared for her. Thank you for making this an excellent experience.

The staff at Kenwyn are all amazing. From the first day my mum came to live at the home in January 2024, she has received the highest level of care. They respect my mum's wishes and have shown fantastic support to her, myself and my father. Keep up all your amazing work.

Dad has a lovely room overlooking the garden and is cared for by welcoming, friendly staff who make him feel part of a family. He loves the trips out and yesterday saw the Christmas lights in the local town, all had a merry time on the bus!

My father (96) has been residing in Kenwyn for nearly nine months. I can say that I can pop in at any time and find he is well cared for, and when I leave, I am confident and couldn't do better for his care - I think that's it.
On behalf of Kenwyn's General Manager, I would like to thank you for taking the time to write this review for us. Feedback in all forms is incredibly important to us here at Kenwyn, and I will be sure to share this with the entire team. Thank you.
Excellent service in every aspect. The staff are totally dedicated and give 100% to support and help the residents. My wife could not have ended up, with her condition, in a better place.

Mum likes her room, food and being out in the large garden. Everyone is patient with the residents and very helpful.
On behalf of the general manager at Kenwyn, I would like to say a huge thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are so pleased to read that you feel your mum is well cared for and enjoys her life here at Kenwyn. I will make sure your thoughts are shared with the whole team. Thanks again.
In walking along the corridor, it is notable how each member of staff will greet a resident by name, making time to talk to them and make them feel special. The dining room with its semi-formal atmosphere and good food encourages Dad to chat and be sociable, eating three meals a day, very different to eating alone at home. With so much space at Kenwyn there are rooms and outside spaces where family and friends can sit with residents; the coffee and cakes, available at all times, help to reinforce the home-from-home feeling.
As a regular visitor, I am made to feel not only welcome but part of the life of the care home, something that I value greatly.
On behalf of us all here at Kenwyn, we would like to say a huge thank you for your fantastic review. Your dad's health, happiness and well-being are at the heart of all we do here and your words are testament to the hard work of all staff team at Kenwyn. We will be sure to share your words with all staff. Many thanks.
I liked a trip to the salon and am looking forward to going again, the hairdresser did exactly what I asked for with my colours.
On behalf of the general manager here at Kenwyn, we would like to say a big thank you. It is wonderful feedback for us and the team to know that you are happy in your home. I will make sure I share your review with the team. Thank you for taking the time to write this.
My room is lovely and I have a view of the garden, which is beautiful, especially at this time of year.
On behalf of the general manager at Kenwyn, I would like to thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts about how you feel about life at Kenwyn Care Home. I will ensure that your thoughts are shared with the team. Thank you.
The food is nice and the staff are caring.
I visit every day apart from Sunday and I am made to feel very welcome.
And I love the cake and croissants each day. The staff are all kind and welcoming and I have never had any problems.
On behalf of the general manager of Kenwyn, I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you. It's good to read that you feel your husband is well cared for as this is truly at the heart of all we do.
As far as I am concerned, Kenwyn is top-class. Nothing is too much trouble, the staff are amazing and incredibly helpful. When we first arrived I was greeted by a member of staff who is the home services advisor, she was so lovely and caring and compassionate. She went way beyond her duty to make sure everything was up to scratch. They have looked after my husband so well and he has settled in much better than I anticipated. I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff for everything that they do.
On behalf of Kenwyn's general manager, we would like to thank you for taking the time to write this review. In addition, we appreciate your kind words and will share them with the team. We are really pleased that your husband has settled and that you are happy with the level of care he continues to receive here. Thank you.

Meet the Team (6)

Hello and welcome, I am Haley Welland, and I am the General Manager here at Kenwyn Care Home
With over a decade’s worth of experience in health and social care, I am a passionate registered manager with a wealth of knowledge, including managing nursing, residential and community care. I have extensive knowledge in supporting residents with dementia to live well and have a passion for encouraging dementia friendly support within our local community. As a dementia champion and dementia care mapper with the University of Bradford, I am competent in supporting colleagues to understand quality care for those living with dementia.
The majority of my career has been working in Cornwall with the local community and healthcare professionals, and therefore have a solid understanding of how best to support our local residents.
I have a very active role in the lives of all residents, ensuring resident-centred care is delivered by every member of staff to a high standard. My passion for quality care is fuelled by my own personal experiences of placing loved ones in the hands of care teams. I feel my own experiences have moulded me into the manager I am today, and I take pride in my ability to support residents, families and friends to make informed choices about the care options available to them, including how to live as independently for as long as possible.
I look forward to welcoming you at Kenwyn Care Home.

Over the years, her commitment to excellence and her natural leadership skills have seen her progress to head of Housekeeping. Holly leads her team with the same care and attention to detail she has always shown, ensuring Kenwyn remains a welcoming and comfortable home for all.
Holly is also Kenwyn's Speak Up Champion and says: "As speak up champion for the home, I act as a voice for colleagues to express their ideas, develop new ways of working and a pathway for them to report concerns. I regularly meet with the manager to discuss the running of the home from the colleagues’ perspective and am grateful that my colleagues feel able to trust me to speak to."

Mercy is an amazing Senior Carer and has done some amazing work both on our Glendurgan and Pencarrow unit!

Martin first joined Kenwyn in a Housekeeping role, although his ambition was always to become Kenwyn's Gardener.
