Over the years, her commitment to excellence and her natural leadership skills have seen her progress to head of Housekeeping. Holly leads her team with the same care and attention to detail she has always shown, ensuring Kenwyn remains a welcoming and comfortable home for all.

Holly is also Kenwyn's Speak Up Champion and says: "As speak up champion for the home, I act as a voice for colleagues to express their ideas, develop new ways of working and a pathway for them to report concerns. Alison Collins is a Receptionist at Kenwyn Care Home in Truro. Her deeply personal journey with Barchester Healthcare began in November 2021 when her own mother became a resident at the home. Inspired by the exceptional, compassionate care her mother received, Alison felt compelled to join the Kenwyn family herself.

She originally stepped into the home as a carer, later transitioning into housekeeping, and now brings her versatile expertise to the front-of-house reception and administration team. Prior to her time at Kenwyn, Alison dedicated over 30 years of service to the NHS before retiring.

A proud mother of four and grandmother of two, she balances her vital role as the welcoming face of Kenwyn with her love for family, travel, and exploring the UK. Read less

Dan Sears is the Head Chef at Kenwyn Care Home in Truro. Dan originally fell in love with Barchester Healthcare’s company ethos and the true joy of hospitality while working at another home within the group. In June 2023, he officially joined the Kenwyn family to lead the kitchen operations and menu development.

Passionate about senior nutrition, Dan thrives on the opportunity to work with fresh, high-quality ingredients to craft delicious, constantly evolving menus tailored to the diverse dietary needs and tastes of our residents. He takes great pride in his work and credits his close-knit, amazing kitchen team for making every mealtime a special experience.

When he hangs up his chef whites, Dan loves exploring Cornwall's coastlines with long walks by the sea and firing up the BBQ at home. Read less

She holds a First-Class Honours degree in Fine Arts, a background that shines through in her beautifully tailored, highly engaging arts and crafts sessions.

Passionate about delivering life-enriching experiences, Chloe takes the time to get to know each resident individually. By learning about their unique hobbies, life histories, and preferences, she designs a diverse, comprehensive activities programme that sparks joy, encourages creativity, and brings lots of laughter to the home. Read less

Jason (Jay) McCarthy is the In-House Physiotherapist at Kenwyn Care Home. Jay joined the team following a distinguished 15-year career dedicated to physiotherapy within the NHS, bringing an elite level of clinical expertise and rehabilitation insight to the home.

He specialises in designing tailored mobility and strength plans that empower residents to maintain their independence, famously encouraging them to discover that they are capable of much more than they think.

Jay also plays a crucial role in supporting families during complex transitions, helping them feel completely at ease. When he isn’t leading rehabilitation sessions, Jay is a passionate and talented musician who writes original music and plays the guitar, piano, drums, and trombone. Read less

Martin first joined Kenwyn in a Housekeeping role, although his ambition was always to become Kenwyn's Gardener.

This year his dream came true and Martin took his longed-for role. Martin absolutely loves his work and it is clear for all to see.
