The staff were so good, particularly when she was in her final days. They became her family and really cared.
Mum enjoyed the food and activities. She loved putting her feet in the paddling pool during the heatwave and the lollies - a lovely touch.
Her room was always clean and she looked smart whenever I visited.
I had little to do with the manager or admin but near the end, the manager spent time with me and it was obvious she knew Mum and cared for her.
I will never forget their kindness.
Thank you so much for your review and taking the time to review our home. Your kind words are so heart-warming and I am so pleased to hear how our team were there for you during the most difficult time. I am sure our team will miss your mum. Best wishes, Fae
The building - furniture is tied.
The nursing - care staff are amazing and what made it all good.
The home is well kept, and the food is excellent. The most reassuring element for me, living two hours away, is knowing that my parents are in safe hands. All staff, without exception, are professional, warm and friendly. They keep me regularly updated with my parent's progress.
Mum appears to be safe, clean and cared for. The staff are polite and caring but there are not enough - they always seem to be rushing everywhere! Management has responded positively to my concerns about Mum's food and drink situation, which has improved. Mum cannot move so is in bed all the time and relies on staff to check on her and give her enough drink, which I feel is limited with fewer staff.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home and for your kind words about our team and management addressing any feedback you have had. I will be sure to pass on your feedback to the team. Best wishes, Fae
Lack of staff over many years. Feel very sorry for the staff and the amount they have to do and how poorly paid they are for their hard work and commitment. Can't get anyone to answer the door (after hours). Awful desserts - full of sugar, unhealthy and cheaply made. Horrible garden area. High staff turnover. Untidy and unclean foyer.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home. I've spoken to our home manager and she is saddened to hear your feedback and will be in touch to see how we can resolve the points raised. The manager's door is always open for you if you do ever have anything to raise with her, no matter how big or small. Best wishes, Fae
My brother is quite happy and content in the care home, and we, his family, are pleased that he is in a safe environment. The staff are friendly and attentive. One criticism would be the care of laudary; frequently, we find other residents' clothing in his room and being worn! The clothing is name marked but seems to walk to different residents' rooms. Overall, we feel happy that my brother is in the right home for his needs.
Cannot speak highly enough of the care and support that she received in the three weeks she was in your care until her passing. It was a tremendous comfort to myself and the family. Please pass on our gratitude to all the staff.
Thank you so much for your kind words about our home and team, it really is so appreciated. Best wishes, Fae
However, when my nan sadly passed away in March 2022. We were given the information by a RN that we could collect my nan's belongings within the first 7 days. Not even 48 hours after my nan had passed we went in to collect her things where the room had been stripped, and to be told that her belongings had been either thrown away or donated to other residents. The reason for this was of two excuses, one which was because there was nothing in their diary so they assumed we weren’t coming. Secondly, because my auntie on the day of nan's death walked out with a cardigan, they presumed that we had all we wanted despite there being a conversation with the RN. We are utterly disgusted! This was written in the report.
Unfortunately, I have been unable to visit my friend since she moved into Greenslades. However, the staff have been really helpful and helped us to do skype calls and kept me up to date with a regular newsletter. Each time I talk to my friend she can't praise the staff enough. She has made friends and enjoyed taking part in the activities provided. I look forward to when I can go in and meet everyone in person.
The staff were very obliging, kind and dedicated. Things for us to do some afternoons. I can recommend this as a place with all ingredients to make ones stay a happy one.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home Rita - it is much appreciated! Best wishes, Fae
I have been visiting for about 7 years and have always found the staff happy and considerate of my sister's care.
Everybody is really friendly and helpful even when short-staffed, followed by covid restrictions and they try to help you. Only deal with the assistant manager, never introduced to the manager. The home found it hard to address dad's Alzheimer's/Dementia needs as not ill with his cancer on release from hospital. Not a bad nursing home.
Greenslades Nursing Home has provided excellent care for my Dad. I am so grateful to all the wonderful staff and it is beyond a relief to know he is in safe caring hands. The staff work so hard to maintain a brilliant standard of care and provide the best quality of life possible for my Dad.
My friend was very happy at Greenslades, she was very poorly and was only there a short time. The staff were so friendly and kind. They welcomed me when I was able to visit and made every effort to make me feel safe.
The standard of care for my father was very good, we had two excellent nurses, who despite Covid restrictions gave us a regular update on Dad's condition. The feedback we had from the manager of the home was excellent and all in all, we were happy with the experience at Greenslades.
My Mother went into Greenslades Nursing Home during the Pandemic so I was unable to personally view the inside of the Care Home. However, the staff that I have met when visiting my Mother have been the spirit of professionalism and care. I am extremely grateful for all that they have done for my Mother in her time of need. It has been reassuring to know that my Mother is being so well cared for at Greenslades.
My mother moved into Greenslades last month on a short-term basis. We were very nervous about her going into a care home that we had not even had a chance to look around. After a long stay in hospital, all she wanted to do was go home, making it even harder. However, before she even arrived at Greenslades we knew it was the right choice. We phoned the home and talked to the manager and got to have a video tour of the home. All the staff have been friendly and supportive to both my mother and myself. She has only been there a few weeks but she has settled in well and is enjoying the activities. Although this is just a respite stay if the day comes when we are looking for a permanent home this will be our first choice.
Before the pandemic hit, I would often visit the home, and I can tell my friend is very happy and well looked after.
Thank you for your feedback and kind words about Greenslades and our team, it is so appreciated. Best wishes, Fae.
When my husband was asked by his best friend, four days before he died, he replied 'yes very happy - why wouldn't I be, they look after me very well.' This was on Christmas Morning when visiting with my son and his Swedish friend on facetime. All the staff were amazing, not just for my husband, but the support for me and my son when visiting. More than that, all the admin staff too - they couldn't have been more accommodating and supportive. A definite feeling of great teamwork. I can't thank everyone enough. Hats off to them all coping in covid times. The best care I could have expected for my husband of 55 years.
Thank you for such a heart-warming review - it really is so appreciated. We are very sorry to hear of the loss of your husband and send our sincere condolences - I am sure he will be missed by our team. Best wishes, Fae.
Greenslades always keeps us informed on a weekly basis, on how my father is keeping. If incidents occur, we are contacted as soon as they can. We are also advised on the health stages that dementia patients go through, enabling us to understand how things are progressing along the timeline.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home we really appreciate it. Best wishes, Fae.

Meet the Team (2)

I started off in care when I was 19, looking after my father and decided this was what I wanted to do for a career as I wanted to make a difference.
I have worked my way through all roles in all different sectors of social care to get to where I am now. I have been in management for 10 years now and I wouldn’t change a thing.
Care is my life and passion and I love learning something new every day. I am honoured that I can say that I truly love what I do and I am privileged and lucky to have a career with a company that shares the same passion.

I find my role very satisfying, I enjoy helping the families and friends of our residents with whatever they may need.
