Following Sanctuary Care’s Enriching Lives Framework, the team focuses on six senses that help people feel fulfilled: achievement, belonging, continuity, significance, purpose and security. They take time to learn each resident’s life story and celebrate individuality.
Residents enjoy a wide range of activities, from animal visits and school choir performances to baking, painting, gardening and entertainment. There’s also a hair salon for appointments with a mobile hairdresser.
The home recently introduced a Magic Table, an interactive light-projection game designed for people living with dementia. It encourages gentle movement and supports cognitive skills while residents play together.
Located in Ivybridge, Ivydene offers beautiful views over Two Moors Way and plenty of trips out, including walks to the River Erme.
The team provides residential, dementia, nursing, palliative and respite care, which can be booked in advance. Ivydene is proud to be part of Plymouth Dementia Action Alliance, helping make the area more dementia-friendly.
The team at Ivydene is also proud to achieve the Veteran Friendly Framework (VFF) status, which aims to better support the practical, emotional and social needs of the armed forces community living in care homes.
Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1299 and for nursing care £1535, but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.
*If you require more specialist care such as 1-2-1 support, your weekly fee could be higher.
