Mum has been here for nearly three years and her care has been impeccable. The staff are absolutely wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. I can’t thank them enough for all that they do for her and us as a family. They have had a very difficult time since Covid but their precautions have kept everyone safe and should be applauded. Such a wonderful place.
Thank you so much for leaving this perfect review of your experience with our Care Team and Care Home at Dove Tree House in Exeter. It's lovely to read how well your mum has been looked after and how wonderful you feel the care team are. I have to agree, we have a fantastic care team at Dove Tree...
The care has always been amazing and has continued its standard since day one when Mum went in there. She is always happy and appreciates what all the staff do for her. They are always assessing Mum's needs which may change from one day to the next. Even when we've been in, the girls are always kind, friendly and always willing to help. They are quick to spot any abnormality or out of character for Mum and ring the GP when needed.
She had to go into hospital a few years ago and the organisation and care was something that went so smoothly thanks to the coordination of all people involved. They have a good rapport with all the community nurses and the GP. This year and last year was a challenge due to Covid but they smashed it by having a garage converted so we could see Mum. It was so clever. They always have karaoke and normally would have other activities. I can't thank them enough!

My uncle is a service user and he’s been at Dove Tree House Care Home for a few years. I can only give a view on my experience from when I visit him, he is very content and happy, he has a lovely room, the choice and quality of food is great, staff are kind and try to accommodate all his needs. The most important thing is that he never criticises the care he gets so I take from that that he is happy.
Hi Sue P. Thank you for taking the time to write this review of your experience with our care team and care home at Dove Tree House in Exeter. It's really nice to read that your uncle is very content and happy at Dove Tree House. Kindest regards, Nathan.
Once I had stepped through the door at Dove Tree House and was met by their brilliant manager, I knew I had found the right place to bring Mum up from Wales to be nearer to family. Distance meant that my mum was unable to view before moving in but any concerns I had about making the decision on her behalf were quickly wiped away when we arrived. She absolutely loves living at Dove Tree House. Mum is very sociable and all the staff are wonderful with her. She calls them her new extra family. Dove Tree is very pro active and produces a newsletter, for this I have to say an enormous thank you! It keeps family informed about what activities have been going on and supported by wonderful photographs. Mum can be a fussy eater but the chef met with mum when she arrived and she has really enjoyed her food. During this past year it’s been a relief for the family to know that she is in such safe and caring hands. A massive thank you to all. You are amazing!

My 101-year-old father has been living at Dove Tree House for the past 7 weeks. In this time I have been impressed by the friendly, nicely-confident, professional and caring attitude of all the staff whom I have come into contact with. I have no hesitation in recommending Dove Tree House to anyone who is having to choose a Home for an elderly relative without being able to visit it beforehand. I visited Dove Tree House 19 months ago when I liked the lively, homely atmosphere. Covid regulations mean that visiting is restricted but the continued need to keep everyone safe is vital, and at Dove Tree House this is being achieved. Of course, I wish I could visit my father every day, to help him settle and get used to his new way of life; here's hoping that this may be possible in the autumn.

I live several hours drive from Exeter but am able to rest assured that my mother is in good hands. They take great care of her and keep me updated with newsletters etc (and updates about tests, vaccines etc during COVID). When I phone staff are always helpful and courteous, ensuring they pass the phone on to my mother promptly. Her health and well-being are always taken care of, with a range of activities etc.

The care and attention that my mother received could not be better. The staff are all excellent and the facility is excellently run. The whole family feels very lucky to have my mother in such a wonderful place.

Sadly, my father passed away recently with natural causes, and the support and love from the staff for my mother has been amazing. I am very grateful to them all for the care they are providing for mother.
The home is always spotless and homely; the food is good with a variety of choices for each mealtime.
I am happy that my mother is in a safe environment where all her requirements are met.
Good afternoon Gillian. Thank you for taking the time to write and publish this review of your experience with our Care Team and Care Home at Dove Tree House in Exeter. It is our privilege to have looked after both your mum and dad, and I'm sorry to learn that your dad has sadly recently passed...
My mother has been a resident for 15months, having been living alone for six months with declining strength and mobility, and increasing dementia. I visited almost daily for the first six months, during which time her physical state improved considerably. In addition, she was very quickly settled into her new home, and friends. She often states that she feels safe and well cared for. I saw frequent and strong evidence of the professional way the home is organised and led, and the care and attention of the staff - always delivered appropriately and with emphasis on the individual. Staff-resident relationships are very positive. I am impressed by the constant presence of a staff member, catering and daily activities. I am allowed to be very involved, and they are very flexible: for example, supporting me to take my mother into the garden for as long as she wishes, or providing a wheelchair to allow her to come home for part of the day, or for outings to the beach, garden centre, cafe etc.
It's great to read that your mum's physical state has improved considerably in the 15 months that she has been...
The home remained COVID free throughout the pandemic which was a testimony to the care given even though we couldn’t visit, Skype was provided for families if appropriate.
The end of life care my friend was given was so lovely and caring, and as a retired nurse myself, I could not fault anything and for that I am truly grateful.
When the time comes I know where I wish to go!
Thank you isn’t enough.
Good afternoon Marion C. Thank you for taking the time to write and post this lovely 5/5 Star review of your experience with our Care Team and Care Home at Dove Tree House in Exeter. There's very little for me to add, your review is comprehensive and, whilst we value all reviews equally, I will...
Mum wasn't too good earlier in the year but with the kind love and support from the staff, she came through it and is now back to her old happy self. Big congratulations for shutting the home so quickly on the outbreak of the Coronavirus and keeping your staff and residents safe. Many thanks for looking after everyone. You guys are amazing.
Good afternoon Ann. Thank you for taking the time to write and post this 5/5 Star review of your experience with our Care Team and Care Home at Dove Tree House in Exeter. It's really good to read that your mum is feeling better and, 'back to her old happy self'. Thank you for the thank you for...
Before the COVID 19 lockdown, I visited Dove Tree care home quite regularly and found my Ex-Relative/friend very happy in the home. The staff are very caring and attentive. During the lockdown, when visitors were not permitted, the Dove Tree manager kept us informed with a newsletter and also regarding COVID 19 testing. When I rang the home enquiring of the well-being of my Ex-Relative/friend, I was confident that she was well and happy. They run a jovial home at Dove Tree, full of cheeriness and care.
Hello Sandra, thank you for taking the time to write and post this review of your experience with our care team and care home at Dove Tree House in Exeter. It's great to read that your friend is happy. Yes, I agree, Dove Tree is a happy home. We hope you have been able to take advantage of the...
My mother has been a resident of Dove Tree House for the last two and a half years. During that time she has been well cared for. The staff are efficient and caring and always try to accommodate any particular needs she may have. It is good to know that she is being looked after by people who are clearly very experienced and knowledgeable with regards to care. My sister and I have been especially grateful that in the current circumstances we know our mother is safe and well.
Hello Sharon, thank you for taking the time to post this review of your experience, and that of your sister and mum, during the two and a half years that your mum has been living at Dove Tree House in Exeter. Thank you for highlighting the hard work and dedication of our care team at Dove Tree - it...
We found the home to be efficiently run providing a caring, compassionate environment for the residents. Whenever we visited, the whole house was spotlessly clean and tidy. The rooms are bright, airy and nicely furnished.
The staff turnover is low which means that all the staff know and understand the residents and their individual needs well. My mother was very well looked after and treated with kindness and dignity as her health declined and her needs changed.
Thank you so much to all the staff at Dove Tree House.
Good afternoon Anne. Thank you for taking the time to write and post this lovely review of your experience of our Care Team and Care Home at Dove Tree House in Exeter. Thank you also for entrusting us with the care of your Mum and Dad. It's always really nice for our care teams to receive feedback...
When visiting my mum I found the staff and the manager to be always so kind and helpful making my visits a pleasure. I can't speak highly enough on the service that they give. When I get old I would have no trouble coming to live here myself.
Thank you for taking the time to post this review of your experience with our Care Team and Care Home. It's really great to see the kindness of the care teams and managers highlighted in reviews such as yours. I agree, when I visit the Care Homes I often think, 'I hope there are people like this around when I need them'. Kindest regards, Nathan.
By fortune, she moved from hospital to Dove Tree to recuperate and a very independent soul, felt for the first time a home from home. When living on one's own became dangerous, here was a possibility.
Led by a manageress who shows compassion, care and love, together with excellent managerial skills; working alongside other members of staff, who become friends as well as carers. All demonstrate dedication and a very high level of skills, in what at times can be difficult situations, never losing the humour and smiles, however tired! The highest standards of that of a nursing home in dealing with medication and the individual need and requirements of residents.
The house is well furnished and maintained, light and airy and comfortable to be in with a good daily variety of meals and activities on all days.
The smiles of the residents say it all - when life requires a lot of support and care, Dove Tree sets a wonderful example!
Hello D J. Thank you for taking the time to write and publish this really quite wonderful review of the experience that you and your friend have had with our Care Team and Care Home at Dove Tree House in Exeter. I have to agree, I always enjoy visiting Dove Tree, there is a remarkable family...
I am very proud to say that I am the longest resident living here at Dove Tree House and am enjoying it every minute. Everyone is so nice with lots of lovely people visiting at all times. The staff are always so lovely, helpful and nice to be with. They help you whenever you need it. It's a very happy house to live in and the girls who work here are more like friends. Living here really feels like my home. The manageress is the most loveliest person I have ever met and there's a feeling about her that she will help you with anything and she's so kind. She means so much to me now.
Thank you Mary C for writing this really very lovely review of our Care Team at Dove Tree House. May I take the opportunity to say that, as with all relationships, the atmosphere at Dove Tree is very much a two way thing - whilst we do indeed have a lovely group of people working at Dove Tree House...
The overall standard within the home for care, facilities, cleanliness and food is excellent. The staff are always very reassuring about my mother's general welfare and gave me a great deal of confidence concerning her wellbeing.

She is stable and able to read and talk with coherence. Her diabetes is under control and it feels like we have her back with us. She feels cared about.
