This purpose-built care home provides nursing and care for older people who are physically frail and older people who have mental health needs such as Alzheimer's disease.

Accommodation at Elburton Heights Care Home is provided in single occupancy rooms, all of which are en-suite.

The home provides TV lounges and a quiet sitting room for relaxation. Separate dining rooms, where residents can join the company of others at mealtimes, are available. Traditional home cooked meals using fresh produce are served and daily choices available. Special diets can be catered for.

Dad has been here since February. I am impressed with the care and compassion shown by all carers. They are so gentle, and patient and have a smile and a sense of humour. They take time to get to know him and his likes/dislikes. Dad's needs are met and he is consulted as to his wishes, retaining some
dignity. I have also been impressed with the activities on offer. At first, I baulked at the idea of dad doing painting or crafts, things he would not do before dementia, but realised that the stimulation and variety of activities offered are so valuable. Dad does not always take part (his choice) but we love checking the social media to see what has been going on - this is a fantastic resource and much appreciated. We especially enjoy the coffee mornings. We all appreciate the way we are welcomed in and are able to bring dad's dog who has become a favourite of residents and staff. While we would rather dad was at home, we are happy with this home, his care, carers and the facilities on offer.

A lifelong friend of mine has moved into this home and has been there for a few months. I am very impressed with every aspect of the home, from the warm and welcoming staff to the level of activities that are provided. He is really happy and that makes us happy. My mum joined Elburton Heights Care Home three years ago on the dementia unit, she was unable to care for herself. At first I was dreading the thought, though it was for the best. At first staff were not sure how to take my mum, and she them, but after a couple of weeks she settled in well and I realised
very quickly that the staff picked up on her little ways, which helped my mum be part of the Elburton family. The unit she is on is very secure and she is free to go wherever in the knowledge she is safe. The entertainment is second to none, of which Mum takes part in most of the activities. It is so satisfying to see the photos posted for family members to see and the smiling face of my mum, she's made friends and is happy. It turns out my fears were misplaced and it was the best decision made to place her in a caring home: Elburton Heights. Thanks to all the caring staff at Elburton Heights. My mum is happy and content and that is all down to the whole team. Thank you from a grateful daughter.

We were very nervous and apprehensive when our father came into Elburton Heights, as he had been independent up until his fall. It’s the openness and friendliness of the staff that have put our minds to rest. Any questions we have had are dealt with quickly and positively. Dad’s pain is being taken
seriously and is being addressed. The staff are treating my father as an individual and all the interactions we have had are positive and very supportive. A lovely, caring place.

The best decision we ever made was choosing this care home for mum after she suffered a massive stroke in 2015. She has been looked after phenomenally well. The love shown to her - and indeed all of us in the family - has been very much appreciated. Every aspect of care has been first-rate, from the
quality of the food to the support of her religious beliefs, and we truly believe her happiness over the past seven years is down to the excellent staff who work here.

Following a few weeks spent in hospital, my mother went to this nursing home. She had vascular dementia. She was made very welcome and her care was excellent. She was there for two months before she died in February, having just been accepted for permanent care. It was sad that she didn't benefit from
longer there - the staff were very caring and friendly.

My Dad went to live at the home in February. He had Dementia. The care he received was wonderful particularly from six staff members, to name but a few. I was very skeptical about my Dad going into a home but I soon realised that he was well looked after and cared for and the staff also really liked
my Dad. Sadly my Dad recently passed away and my only complaint is that the new manager never bothered to even phone my mum to offer her condolences or speak to us when we went to collect my Dad's belongings which were very disappointing. Other than that I would have given 5 stars.

My Mum moved into the Dementia Nursing section of Elburton Heights in December 2021. I can honestly say I have nothing but praise and admiration for the entire staff and the way they cared for her. The staff were always cheerful, helpful, and full of compassion. The home makes a lot of effort to involve
residents in activities where possible and ensure that they are as engaged as they can be. The home seemed exceptionally clean and the dining room and food looked lovely. My Mum received all her end-of-life care under the careful supervision of the nurses here. I am eternally grateful for their care and compassion in her last few days. Finding a home for a loved one is a daunting prospect, and I am happy to have found Elburton Heights. I was finally able to feel she was properly cared for and safe. Thank you.

I can't say enough lovely things about this home. I feel safe, happy and extremely well looked after. I wish my mum was lucky enough to have come here when she died as the people here go above and beyond. When my brother was first admitted to the care home he was in reasonable health and wellness and was in good health. He had very bad sores on his legs. He was still the same when he was admitted to the hospital about three weeks ago with what I believe to be pneumonia and has since passed away. He also
had dementia which I was told he never had. I do believe he would still be here if he was treated properly in the first place.

My grandad was a resident from May to July 2021. He had a very poor experience in the care home. Reasons being, he was shouted at by a male career for grabbing his arm as he felt he was falling from the hoist. He had an iPad charger taken from him, so he was without a lead to charge the iPad to contact
family members. The lead was replaced by a family member which had to pay for a new one which we still have no idea what happened to the first lead as my grandad did not and could not get out of bed to use it! Family members also took in when allowed, food and drink to supply for my grandad in which he hardly had any of. When leaving the care home the food and drink were not given back so we are questioning where has it all gone as the careers said that he had drunk and ate it which we know he couldn’t have as he had trouble with doing that himself!
We would not recommend this care home as we have had nothing but trouble and the main reason being my grandad did not feel comfortable there.

I was worried to come into the home, but the staff made me feel very welcome and have taken time to talk to me, even when they have been busy. They always check on me and make sure I'm ok. Day and night staff are amazing. The food is very good, and the home is nice, clean and smells nice. I have no
problems to report, and I have sat in the garden and played bingo.

Internal visit with our grandma, what can we say just wonderful from the moment we walked in, to leaving. Grandma looks amazing as always and well-loved and cared for.

Mum is very happy and looks so well. I have lots of photos of her doing lots of activities and I cherish these.
The staff always have time to talk to me either on the phone or in person. I love how everyone goes the extra mile to make Mum's life happy.

Really excellent support and guidance throughout both visits to see my father. Polite on the phone when making enquirys about how he was settling in, the first visit in the pod was excellent. Visit easily organised and excellent inside visits made today. Thank you for everything you do for him.
