Elburton Heights Care Home

When my brother was first admitted to the care home he was in reasonable health and wellness and was in good health. He had very bad sores on his legs. He was still the same when he was admitted to the hospital about three weeks ago with what I believe to be pneumonia and has since passed away. He also had dementia which I was told he never had. I do believe he would still be here if he was treated properly in the first place.

We would not recommend this care home as we have had nothing but trouble and the main reason being my grandad did not feel comfortable there.

I was worried to come into the home, but the staff made me feel very welcome and have taken time to talk to me, even when they have been busy. They always check on me and make sure I'm ok. Day and night staff are amazing. The food is very good, and the home is nice, clean and smells nice. I have no problems to report, and I have sat in the garden and played bingo.

The staff as always are just thoughtful and kind, with great leadership from the management team. We can't thank you enough.

The staff always have time to talk to me either on the phone or in person. I love how everyone goes the extra mile to make Mum's life happy.

Really excellent support and guidance throughout both visits to see my father. Polite on the phone when making enquirys about how he was settling in, the first visit in the pod was excellent. Visit easily organised and excellent inside visits made today. Thank you for everything you do for him.

Mum is loved and looked after. She has a circle of friends and is so happy. The manager and her team are wonderful and very responsive to all Mum's needs.

After a traumatic experience getting to the point of needing to put my father into a home, I am 100% at ease that I have done the right thing for him and this has been possible due to the care and compassion they give to my whole family. The specialist knowledge they have has been so helpful and you can see that they genuinely care.

The procedure leading up to my visit was great, we were given a nice private room to visit my relative in! Very pleased these procedures for visiting are now in place.

I had my first visit to Mum today indoors after nearly a year, due to the Coronavirus. The team at Elburtin Heights are amazing and always go the extra mile to ensure residents are well cared for and engaged in activities etc. Communication with family members is excellent, and regular updates are given. I feel very confident about my mother's care here at Elburton Heights.

I have been so impressed with this home. The staff, the care, the communication, the environment so welcoming. My client is really happy there and doesn't want to leave. Would definitely recommend this home. Well done!
