Abby View looked after my wife for over a year. They were excellent with her care and were also very friendly to me,
Thank you for your kind feedback. We're pleased you were so happy with the care your wife received at Abbey View, and we appreciate your kind words about the team's support for both of you.
The team at Abbey View put so much time and effort into activities for the residents. Yesterday was a garden party for King Charles' birthday. It was lovely afternoon, and good to be able to take my parents in law out into the garden to enjoy it. There was obviously such a lot of thought and attention to detail involved, an excellent spread, and the staff were, as always, kind, helpful, friendly and attentive. A really nice occasion.
Thank you for your kind feedback. We're pleased you and your parents-in-law enjoyed the celebration at Abbey View, and we appreciate your kind words about the team's creativity, attention to detail and warm support.
I come into Abbey View weekly to do intergenerational storytelling with the residents. I love the family orientated atmosphere in this care home. My observation is that all the staff care for the residents, they tend to their needs with care and respect. I feel they try to ensure that every need and request is attended to. The residents were spoken to politely and with tenderness that shows compassion. I would and have recommended Abbey View as a care home. My comment is that if needed a care home for myself or family then I would choose Abbey View.
Thank you for your kind feedback. We're always so pleased to welcome you to the home and are pleased you value the atmosphere at Abbey View. Thank you also for your thoughtful words about the team's compassion, respect, and dedication to supporting each resident.
Family were always made to feel welcome and kept updated with her health and well being.
In her final few weeks she was treated with respect and dignity

She would have preferred to continue living in her own home but realising that it would be dangerous for her she made the decision to enter Abbey View.
She was happy at Abbey View and was cared for exceptionally well until her final passing due to her deterioration from the disease that she had.

The quality and choice of food is excellent, and it is reassuring to know that my mother-in-law is enjoying nutritious, well prepared meals every day. More importantly, she is well cared for - which is so important to us.

I have been at Abbey View since the 27th February, firstly on a respite contract and now on a permanent contract. I have found all the staff so friendly, helpful and nothing is too much for them. I found the transition from leaving my home to moving to Abbey View a very big and difficult adjustment. All the staff have been so supportive for which I am very grateful for,
Thank you for your kind feedback about Abbey View. We're pleased the team's support made your transition from respite to permanent stay feel smoother, and that you continue to feel well settled and supported.
My mother is very happy and exceptionally well looked after in this lovely home. It is friendly, clean, caring and mum has made new friends with common interests. She feels she is part of a community again, a feeling she thought she had lost as her mobility in her own home declined. Abbey View has restored her confidence and given her joy in her life again, if not quite literally a spring in her step. With good food, new friends and great care, it has been wonderful to see mum's mental health and physical health improve. Thank you, Abbey View
Thank you for your kind feedback about Abbey View. We're so pleased to hear your mother feels happy and part of a community again, supported by the team's care and companionship.
Mum has been living in Abbey View for 2 1/2 year ages 95 years. Most recently, breast cancer was caught in the early stage by a very diligent nurse at the home. The loss of mum's walking mobility means she has to rely on excellent nursing staff for personal needs. We find the staff very welcoming, kind and helpful. Food is delicious thanks to an excellent chef. WE note staff working very hard and provide high standard of service. Staff are happy to listen and help at all times, finding a more comfy chair for mum. Good nursing support for mum going to hospital appointments. We feel greatly reassured that mum is well looked after with vital support, which gives peace mind. We thank you for all you do.
Thank you for your kind feedback about Abbey View. We're so pleased to hear you are happy with your mum's care, and that the team's attentive nursing, warmth and support bring you reassurance.
Throughout my fathers 30 month stay at Abbey View Care Home in Sherborne, he was given excellent care. The staff were always friendly, cheerful and patient, when necessary. Dad always had a smile on his face when he saw a member of the team. His last few years were in a secure, comfortable and cheerful environment, all that you might look for. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind feedback. We're so pleased to hear how much your father enjoyed his time at Abbey View and that the team's warmth and care brought him comfort and happiness throughout his stay.
The Abbey View experience has been outstanding on all fronts. The facilities, the standard of care and the food have all been of the highest standard. Best of all is the staff at Abbey View. They have risen to every challenge that has been thrown their way, and they handled every situation with professionalism, grace and kindness. Thank you Abbey View!

The entire experience has been professionally handled, and with great ease, from admission onwards. One thing stands out, however, which is the staff. Everyone has been courteous, caring and friendly. We could not ask for more, thank you.

Mum was very anxious about moving into Abbeyview. She had the early onset of dementia and her mobility was limited. However, the team at Abbeyview made her very welcome, helped her make friends and took great care of her as her dementia progressed. This excellent level of care was maintained right up to Mum's passing.
Thank you for sharing this lovely feedback. We're honoured to have supported your mum from the time she joined Abbey View and to know you feel she was cared for with such kindness and reassurance throughout her journey with us.
I have spent over 3 years at Abbey View and have found a consistent level of excellent care from many dedicated staff. And in the last few weeks of my wife's life, the care and attention devoted to her was second to none. I could not wish for better.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We're honoured to have cared for your wife and are so pleased to hear that, as a fellow resident, you've also experienced the dedication and attention of the team during your time at Abbey View.
During his final illness and subsequent death, my father was treated with great dignity and compassion. Staff remained on duty after the end of their shift to ensure continuity of care and empathic support for his wife of nearly seventy years, as well as members of his immediate family.
Thank you for sharing your experience, and please accept our sincere condolences. We're honoured to have cared for your father and to know you feel he was treated with dignity and compassion, and that your family felt supported throughout.
Thank you for your excellent care of my husband, Patrick, recently arrived - he's a new man, very relaxed and that is all to do with you. All at Abbey View and it's lovely homely atmosphere.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. It's lovely to hear you feel your husband is thriving and feels relaxed since arriving. Your kind words about the team and the homely atmosphere at Abbey View mean a great deal to us all.
It is difficult to portray in words just how wonderful this home is. I put my mother here for respite back in January and she has stayed here ever since. What makes this home so wonderful is the staff who are amazing. Every member of staff is happy and always willing to help, regardless of their official role and what is being asked. The staff and the home have a real family feel. When something is happening with mother, such as a hospital appointment, every member of staff knows who I am and what is happening with my mother. This is a reflection of the communication amongst the staff and it really shows. I have seen newer more expensive homes where the staff isnt such a positive. This is one of, if not the, best home I have seen. Anyone looking for a home for an elderly relative, whether for respite or permanent residency, will be very hard pressed to find anywhere as good as Abbey View
It means so much to read your words about our home. We're delighted that your mother has felt so well cared for since her first respite stay, and that you've seen first hand how the whole team works together and communicates to support her. Knowing you feel part of that family feel too is exactly...
I came in for four weeks as my family were all away at the same time and they do my shopping/washing etc. If I was here, they would not worry. I know most of the staff as I take a Bible study group once a fortnight and also several residents. Also, my mother was here 10 years. I had a wonderful welcome, which continued throughout the four weeks. The staff was so caring and attentive. The food was excellent and varied. I slept well and made good friends. There is such a warm, friendly atmosphere here.
It's lovely to hear how warmly you were welcomed and how much you enjoyed your time with us. Having that personal connection through your Bible study group, and your mother's time here, makes it all the more special. We're so glad you felt at ease, well cared for, and part of the community during your stay. Thank you again for your kind words.
