Avon Reach is situated in the heart of Mudeford in Dorset. It is within walking distance of the famous Mudeford Quay with its seafaring history.

Residents enjoy companionship and can join in with singing, music, exercise and arts and crafts sessions. There is the opportunity for gentle gardening activities in the summer sunshine, and there is a busy pen pal scheme.
The home is registered for nursing care and staffed by dedicated nurses and health care professionals with extensive experience in caring for age-related conditions and fully trained in infection control.

It is within easy reach of the New Forest, while local shops and amenities are also easily accessible.

From the spacious reception and seating area, residents can greet friends or simply watch the world go by. This leads to the dining room with French windows opening onto the patio and garden area beyond.

The main lounge on the ground floor is equipped with a large-screen television. There is a kitchenette where residents or visitors can make their own drinks. An additional lounge and quiet room are provided on the first floor. The second-floor lounge enjoys views of the sea.

The most amazing experience, not only for my father's 3 short weeks here, but unexpectedly for our family. It proved to be our protected cocoon, and the staff have been like family to us. We can never thank them enough. From day one, my dad was happy and settled. We must also add that the food was amazing
and nothing was too much trouble, day or night. Thank you!!

Having had a four week stay at Avon Reach to aid my recover from a hip replacement operation, I can only compliment the management and staff for their excellent level of care provided.
At all times, the staff have been attentive, provided a high level of care and support and nothing has been too much
trouble. Room service and housekeeping have been maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness, with staff on call to rectify any problems that may occur and providing clean towels for personal care daily.
A full programme of activities are provided should resident wish to join in. Moving to food, all meals have been served to the highest standard and quality.

The service and kindness that mum received could not have been bettered. Obviously there were small 'niggles' but nothing that could not be overcome immediately. Staff were all brilliant - five stars! Would certainly recommend.

I came to Avon Reach after a fall when I badly bruised my left shoulder. I am widowed with 2 lovely sons, both living abroad. At 83, I was finding it difficult to manage at home on my own. My eldest son found Avon Road, and when we came in, everyone was smiling and welcoming. That is just how it is
here. Nothing is too much trouble for all the staff. I was offered treats too - I got a bubble bath! And my haircut has never looked better (my friend's words). My visitors are made welcome, and the staff are also very good at remembering my guests' names too. There is always something going on!

This is my first experience of staying in a rest home, but I shall certainly look forward to coming again. I have found everyone so friendly and the staff amazing. I've loved my room, I very much hope to stay in the same room again on the ground floor looking over the quay when I have walked this mooring.

My mum has got a new lease of life at Avon Reach. I cannot praise the staff enough, all of them so friendly and caring. Lots of activities and really good food. Lovely room and the communal areas are very welcoming. The atmosphere is like home from home and everyone is there to help. It's made my mum

The care and compassion my Mother received while a resident at Avon Reach was five-star.
Even the cleaners, tea lady, restaurant staff, reception, laundry lady, activities staff, and nursing/care staff all contributed to making my Mum feel at home. They were interested in her stories, and likewise,
Mum was interested in theirs.
The only criticism I have is that the allocated doctor surgery didn't always deliver the best service. I would have appreciated being informed before they changed Mum's doctor.

From the day my mother arrived at Avon Reach to the day she peacefully passed away, she considered Avon Reach to be her happy home. She was stimulated by the community and company, the activities and events. Her health and well-being improved due to the excellent care. Her end-of-life was managed in
the most professional and compassionate manner. We cannot thank the manager and her team enough for my mother's wonderful final three years.

Avon Reach has been Dad's home for 18 months, and we are consistently impressed with the quality of care here. From the moment you enter, there is a bright, welcoming atmosphere. Since Mum has been in this care home she has been a lot happier, she enjoys the company of other residents and carers and is in a safe environment. She now has her medication regularly and feels well. The home itself is a nice and happy environment to be in and the staff are all so kind and sensitive
to her needs. As a family, we have been impressed with the home and would be happy to recommend it to anyone else.

The care home is one of the most beautiful facilities I've seen. The attention to detail and the cleanliness gave the atmosphere of a home rather than a clinic. Listening to the staff speak of my grandad and interact with my aunt it was evident that my grandad was treated as a friend and member of family,
so much more than just a client.

During the most difficult time, as a daughter of a resident, my Father received the very best of care. His needs were met in every way with dignity, compassion, respect, and professionalism. Also, as a relative in a highly emotional state, respect and support was given unconditionally. I couldn't recommend
