Avon Reach is situated in the heart of Mudeford in Dorset. It is within walking distance of the famous Mudeford Quay with its seafaring history.

Residents enjoy companionship and can join in with singing, music, exercise and arts and crafts sessions. There is the opportunity for gentle gardening activities in the summer sunshine, and there is a busy pen pal scheme.
The home is registered for nursing care and staffed by dedicated nurses and health care professionals with extensive experience in caring for age-related conditions and fully trained in infection control.

It is within easy reach of the New Forest, while local shops and amenities are also easily accessible.

From the spacious reception and seating area, residents can greet friends or simply watch the world go by. This leads to the dining room with French windows opening onto the patio and garden area beyond.

The main lounge on the ground floor is equipped with a large-screen television. There is a kitchenette where residents or visitors can make their own drinks. An additional lounge and quiet room are provided on the first floor. The second-floor lounge enjoys views of the sea.

Avon Reach has its own library and a selection of specialist bathrooms including hydrotherapy bath.

Visiting Avon Reach for the first time, we knew mother would be happy to live there. The staff were very welcoming and the tour of the ground floor and bedrooms showed a lovely environment. This is the third year mother has been at Avon Reach and she continues to thrive and most importantly, be happy
and content.

My father spent the last two years of a long and happy life at Avon Reach and he loved living there. They are an absolutely fabulous team of professional, caring and lovely people. They were attentive and supportive of my father and all his family throughout his time there and when the sad day came
they were fantastic; making a sad occasion pass with dignity and love. I will be eternally grateful to all of the staff at Avon Reach for looking after my father with such care and being so helpful to us as a family.

I can not recommend Avon Reach highly enough. My father spent his last few years there in total comfort with amazing care. All the staff and the 24/7 nursing care was of the highest standard.

While my father was living at Avon Reach, initially for respite and then gradually progressing into nursing care, he was treated with utmost courtesy and kindness, always considering his opinions first. He became iller after Christmas and we were kept informed of any changes immediately. We would definitely

I find this care home very homely and staff are all very friendly, the residents are treated as an individual respecting all their needs. I sometimes think there's not enough staff to see to everyone's needs at once but residents look, clean and happy. I was always made to feel very welcome.

My Mother has now been in Avon Reach for three and a half years. We expect her to spend the rest of her life there and would not wish for her to be moved to another home. Firstly because she is so happy there and secondly because all the staff are so amazing with her. I live abroad so only get over
twice a year to see her but because she is in such safe hands, I never worry.

Mummy has been at Avon Reach since December 2013 and cannot be happier with the care she is provided. Everyone is so caring and she feels safe and is very happy. As I am a healthcare professional, I would consider myself more critical than many. They have stayed on top of all of her medical problems,
informed myself and sisters promptly of any issues. As all three daughters live abroad it was important that Mummy was in an excellent facility.

Generally, the whole home is run in a professional manner. Very friendly staff, but personally I feel more are needed. I have self-funded my own physio during my stay and was under the impression that some staff were going to watch what needed doing and assist during days I had no physio visit. This
hasn't happened.

Having a lovely Christmas at the home it was mum's Birthday in January. I was so pleased to see the effort everyone put into making mum's day very special. From a banner on her door to presents, a card, a big Birthday cake, singing happy birthday and a happy birthday message from everyone of the staff
