My mother had to be moved from her previous care home to Highcliffe. We have been so impressed by all aspects of the home, the friendliness, care, sense of fun and camaraderie of the staff and the residents alike. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and my requests/queries are handled quickly and with
excellent feedback. I have nothing but praise for the staff who have welcomed Mum with open arms and I look forward to attending the amazing events that have been arranged for the residents. A huge big thank you!

Excellent room size, furnishings and bathroom. Kind, efficient and professional staff, everyone I met. Mum said food was good although most had to be mashed so she could eat it. Mum was always treated with dignity and we were always very confident about her care.

I have worked in two nursing homes and my husband had to reside in one for two years in Surrey. I have had to find a place now for the man I dearly love and was hoping to marry. Within one house I knew he would receive tender, loving care here and service with a smile. I have visited frequently for
ten weeks and the heart-felt caring has been consistent. It is very hard work, I know! I would use the word devoted if I may. Probably the most meaningful comment is as follows: this very morning I said to my daughter. If I need to be looked after in the future (73 and well), please see if Highcliffe Nursing Home has a place.

Very happy with the staff and how my mother is treated. Mum arrived in a poor state of health after discharge from the hospital. The staff had to learn how to care for a person who had changed greatly since her hospital admission. Steady improvements in her health have been made, though mum has not
made it easy for herself. I should not expect too much for a lady approaching her 102nd birthday! Unfortunately, she has not experienced much of the food and activities available.

My mum is well looked after by very caring staff. The home is clean and has lots of activities arranged, although Mum is currently too ill to join in. Mum particularly enjoys the food, and it is good to know that the carers help her to eat when needed.

Very friendly staff provide really wonderful, caring and sensitive support which creates real peace of mind for me. The food smells and looks very appetising and is clearly prepared from fresh ingredients.
The whole home is clean and tidy, creating a positive impression that the team keep on top of
all aspects of running the home.
The varied events and visits provide a really enjoyable atmosphere which my mother looks forward to participating in.

Following a difficult stay in hospital and a very thorough clinical assessment by the clinical team at Highcliffe Nursing Home, Dad joined the home last month. He was greeted like an old friend and was given immediate care and support. The rooms are lovely with everything Dad needs and they are kept
spotlessly clean like the rest of the home. There are plenty of staff who always go about their business in a friendly but professional manner and I have witnessed them treating all residents with dignity and respect which also extends to resident's families. I am always kept up to date with how dad is and if I want to know anything all I have to do is ask. The family liaison officer is friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful.
The food is always well presented and tea/hot chocolate and snacks are always available.
The safety and security at the home is exemplary and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home to anyone needing to make the decision of moving a loved one into care.

My father was at Highcliffe Nursing Home from June to September of this year.
He was very happy to be there so much so when he had a spell in hospital, he was very keen to come back to Highcliffe for his last days.
My husband and I were kept well informed at all times. On arrival we were greeted like
family and given space and time to discuss any concerns or to be given updates.
Dad was very much an animal lover and had the opportunity to be visited twice by firstly a tortoise and secondly a therapy dog a few days before he died peacefully in his sleep. This was a special thing to do and helped in many ways. A photo was sent to us which was a lovely touch.
We have already recommended Highcliffe to others. Thank you for looking after Dad and our family.

Care staff are on the whole very caring.
My husband very much enjoys the increase in activities!
On the whole, very good and husband sees it as his home now.

Mum was taken poorly in April this year and also diagnosed with cancer. During her time in hospital it soon became apparent that I could no longer care for her at home and so going into either a hospice or nursing home was the only option. It filled me with dread and guilt but the moment we arrived
at Highcliffe Nursing Home, everyone there could not do enough for us.
This has continued and my mum is so happy there and loves all of the staff. I am greeted by all and have got to know so many of them.
They go above and beyond and treat mum as I would do. She is loved and cared for and I am confident that no matter where this dreadful disease takes us, they will not only be there for her but me too.
There are no enough words to thank these wonderful people.

Mum was professionally and thoughtfully cared for by the impressive staff of Highcliffe Nursing Home during the last four months of her life. She was suffering from Alzheimer’s and, having made the difficult decision to put Mum in a care home, we were delighted by the care provided by Highcliffe Nursing
Home.
Whenever we saw Mum, she was clean, well dressed, hair done and comfortable. Her room was always clean and her clothes well organized. They event pro-actively, proposed a room change to suit her preferences.
Highcliffe Nursing Home struck the right balance between the medical/technical aspects of her care whilst keeping a warm and friendly atmosphere. As her needs changed the friendly and approachable staff adjusted the services and facilities to keep Mum comfortable and pain-free during the final stages of her illness. We were promptly kept informed about any changes in her condition and consulted about the proposed changes in her care.
They made her feel at home during the last months of her life, we will be forever grateful.

Mum has now been resident for over 7 months during which time Covid regulations have been in force. However, one cannot thank the nursing, admin and entertainment teams for making this time as pleasurable as possible for both Mum and her family. Everyone has gone out of their way to ensure we can keep
in touch either via facetime or messenger face to face calls and even when the demand on wifi with all and sundry trying to be online they have always ensured we made contact. Communication back via email of home and resident updates have been well administered and during a recent one to one chat with Mum's medical care plan advisor we were kept well informed. Every effort was made for home distanced visits and whilst I never managed I know it was well received. We now desperately look forward to the opportunity to love and hold our loved ones in person within the home - before it's too late! Many thanks to all the staff at Highcliffe, you are doing a great job keep up with the good work.

The past year has been immensely difficult due to the pandemic. The staff at Highcliffe Nursing Home have constantly kept in touch with regular letters and calls as/when appropriate. The most outstanding fact is that they have managed to keep residents safe and Covid free.
Most recently there was a
virtual families' meeting where assurances were given that as far as possible life for residents has continued as normal. Activities are posted on Facebook.
On a more personal level, I am aware of the care, compassion and support given to my father. It was clear - when visits were possible last summer and into the autumn - that the staff are so understanding of him and give enormous care and support to ensure his wellbeing.

My mother has been at Highcliffe Nursing Home since February 2018. We cannot praise them enough. It means so much to us to know that our mum is properly cared for, especially during this last year with the covid pandemic. They make sure that everyone gets all the love, care, attention and stimulation
they need. We can't thank them enough for looking after mum so well and keeping her safe.

My cousin has been a resident for a year now and happily considers this as her home. The Covid 19 pandemic has sadly prevented me from visiting regularly but I am able to speak to my cousin at any time via a telephone system that uses her mobile phone sim card. All staff are approachable so I know if
I have any concerns about my cousin I would be able to get the help and reassurance needed. I am so very grateful that Covid has been kept at bay at this Home due to the excellent management.

My dad can be quite difficult at times and the entire staff are always friendly and supportive of Dad and the family. We get regular updates from the nursing staff and his care is fantastic. He always tells me when he has had a good meal and enjoys the homemade cakes!

My husband has been looked after in a very caring, sensitive and positive manner. He is difficult in attitude quite often and has been treated with kindness and respect by all his carers. Dad was admitted to the nursing home for respite care in January last year after a severe attack of rheumatoid arthritis robbed him of his mobility and left him in a lot of pain. It was the worst possible time as Covid 19 was emerging fast and the country was about to go into lockdown. He had only been
there a matter of weeks when the home had to close to visitors and I could no longer visit daily. We had to take the decision for Dad to become a permanent resident during lockdown. Despite my concerns that he would not be able to settle, the staff were fantastic with him and one year on he is happy, settled and pain free. I have nothing but praise for the way the staff have coped during these really difficult times and have managed to keep Dad safe and settled.

Job Title: Home Manager

I started my career as a secretary for Lloyds Bank in 1981 and became a PA for the Business Banking Managers. The Business Banking department relocated to Poole in 2007, and I decided it was time for a change because of the travelling. An advertisement for a part-time administrator/Activities person at Highcliffe Nursing Home caught my eye, and I have never looked back. The company have supported me to progress in my career from Administrator to Business Manager, Deputy Manager, Registered Manager at Highcliffe, now including Operations Manager for the South. I love being around and supporting elderly people, as I had such a close relationship with my grandparents that I thought this was the job for me, and it is. I am passionate that we provide the best care, lots of laughter and fun, which we do our very best to provide.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

I am an enthusiastic, caring, and dependable registered nurse who thrives on making a difference. With over 15 years of care experience, I started my career as a health care assistant and progressed my way up to senior care assistant before I went on to complete my nursing degree back in 2019. I started working at Highcliffe Nursing in February 2024, I am the home's deputy manager. I love that Highcliffe Nursing Home has its ethos of care built around its residents. I have a passion for helping people achieve their best possible level of health and well-being, and I can continue doing so thanks to this positive culture Highcliffe Nursing Home has. In my free time, I do a lot of volunteering in and around the community of Highcliffe, I also enjoy setting up and participating in charity fundraisers for local charities and charities close to my heart, such as the Alzheimer’s Society and MacMillan Cancer Support.

Emma and her partner moved from North Devon to Dorset in May 2022. Her background is in office administration and reception duties and she has previously worked as a medical receptionist. She has been able to bring all her experience into her role at Highcliffe. On days off, she loves going on long walks in the New Forest and along the beach.

With over 23 years of experience in the care industry, I have developed a deep passion for providing exceptional care. My journey began in India, where I worked as a Registered Nurse and Midwife, gaining invaluable experience in High Dependency Medical and Surgical Units. I joined Highcliffe in 2017 as a Support Worker, a role I embraced wholeheartedly. After successfully completing my foreign nurse exams and registering with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), I progressed to Registered Nurse, then Senior Nurse, and now proudly serve as the Clinical Lead. My extensive experience in care home settings, including roles as Senior Carer, Team Leader, and Trainer, has equipped me with strong leadership and clinical skills. I am truly passionate about my work and feel fortunate to be a part of Highcliffe, where we are like family. My long tenure here is a testament to how much I love working in this supportive and rewarding environment.


In my spare time, I enjoy creating educational videos as an influencer, pursuing my love for cooking, and cherishing moments with my family—my world.
