Overall Experience

I wish to leave a review for this carehome because of the excellent care my brother is currently receiving. The staff are very welcoming, diligent and attentive at all times. When we visit, usually 2 or 3 of us, we are made to feel part of a lovely family. Any medical problems are promptly dealt with in a loving and caring way. I feel that my brother is very lucky to be part of this environment in his latter and most needy years. Also I would like to complement the management and catering staff for their excellent care.

Thank you so much for your review. It is a pleasure to support your brother, he is a lovely gentleman and deserves the very best care. I am also happy that you all feel so welcome as that's as important to us as the care we provide. I am very proud to lead such an amazing team and it's so nice that...

I have found the care home to be a very caring home with the nicest of staff, who are willing to always go the extra mile for the care of your family member, In my opinion the food cooked by two excellent Chefs l would say is delicious and lots of options, the cakes are perfect. Logistics l would like there to be another room option l feel too much has to happen in one area , The activities are very well thought and implemented with professionalism. Thank you for all you do for my family member in his journey.

My husband has been a resident at St Anne's for nearly three years. He had been previously been sectioned and was very aggressive.
The care home may seem quite small, but it is very homely. His care has been fantastic. The carers are very kind and thoughtful, very patient and look after his every need. Even in trying situations they keep their cool.
The activities are well thought out and relatives are always invited to join in, although my husband does not participate.

The carers make you feel welcome and it is almost like being in your own home although obviously this is not possible. Every birthday is celebrated and BBQs are held in good weather. The food the Chef prepares for this is amazing. Very glad

Thank you so much for your glowing review.

It is a pleasure to have your husband living at St Annes. We are a smaller home, but this enables us to offer person-centred care that is also strengths based. The care staff, as you say, are very patient and always calm no matter what time of day. We...

My husband has been a resident at St. Anne's for the past three years. He came straight from being in hospital for months, where he'd been sectioned and had round the clock security. He hated personal care and was very hard to handle. With expert care and great patience, although he still shouts at times of personal care, he is generally much more trusting and fairly docile. The carers are brilliant, and very adept at handling those with challenging behaviour. Therefore I'm extremely grateful.

The staff are very kind to both the residents and their families. The carers in my opinion are amazing. Their gentle approach has gained my husband's trust and they have worked with him to carry out podiatry, hair care, wet shaving and showering something that he hadn't allowed anyone to do during the past 7 months whilst he was in hospital.

I find the management approachable and willing to work with you for the best outcome for your loved one. I feel able to raise any concerns I may have.

Since my husband took up residency there has been a family party at Christmas and my 5 grandchildren were made very welcome. There were Christmas crackers and a live singer on new years day and this weekend the home is celebrating st valentine's day with a cream tea and a live singer.

It isn't a hotel type of nursing home, has a more homely feel and whenever I visit (which I do most days as there are no restrictions on visiting times) the carers always give a lovely welcome

Overall Experience

Both my father and mother have been in St Anne's. We are very pleased with the care they have received. The staff know the residents very well and take time with them as it is relatively well-staffed against other homes we have used. Sadly my mother died in St Anne's but at this crucial time we were kept very closely informed by the staff and because of this we were able to spend her last hours together. I will always be grateful to them for this. My father is now alone in St Anne's and has vascular dementia. He is not always the easiest person to deal with and the staff again do a great job in difficult circumstances. I have no hesitation in recommending St Anne's.

My mum was resident in St Anne's after discharge from the hospital last year. The care she received while there had the result of giving us an extra year with her and for that, we are eternally grateful. Every single member of the staff there treated mum like a family member and nothing was too much trouble for the staff with regard to mum. She was looked after in a way we would never have been able to at home and she felt loved while there. Visiting mum at any time of any day was not difficult and we were always made to feel very welcome whenever we did visit. If your relative is lucky enough to have a place in St Anne's you can rest assured that they will receive the very best care, food, support from everyone involved in their care. Thank you for taking such good care of my mum.

My father has been a resident of St Anne's since January 2014. As a family, we are very glad that he is in the care of the professional staff at the home and we are confident that he is well looked after and all his needs are met. As we don't live locally it makes it convenient to be able to call in whenever we can and my father is always clean, comfortable and well-fed. There is always a friendly atmosphere and a real 'family' feeling amongst the staff who are always willing to spend time giving us a catch up on my father is. Highly recommended!

St Anne's found a room for my 103-year-old Mother, assessed her and admitted her all on the same day when she was at a low ebb. She received kind and diligent care, enjoyed a room with a view over the garden, appreciated the cooking and soon recovered much of her strength. I recommend St Anne's with confidence.

Overall Experience
Our sister stayed at St Anne's.
We were very happy with the service.
She enjoyed her time and the team were very caring.
They appear well trained and have lots of time for the residents.
We moved her from another home nearby which was bigger and the team had less time for her.
At St Anne's the staff really try and made her feel like she was at home, in a safe environment.
Great value for money.

Very happy.
