The staff are very kind to both the residents and their families. The carers in my opinion are amazing. Their gentle approach has gained my husband's trust and they have worked with him to carry out podiatry, hair care, wet shaving and showering something that he hadn't allowed anyone to do during the
past 7 months whilst he was in hospital.

I find the management approachable and willing to work with you for the best outcome for your loved one. I feel able to raise any concerns I may have.

Since my husband took up residency there has been a family party at Christmas and my 5 grandchildren were made very welcome. There were Christmas crackers and a live singer on new years day and this weekend the home is celebrating st valentine's day with a cream tea and a live singer.
It isn't a hotel type of nursing home, has a more homely feel and whenever I visit (which I do most days as there are no restrictions on visiting times) the carers always give a lovely welcome

Both my father and mother have been in St Anne's. We are very pleased with the care they have received. The staff know the residents very well and take time with them as it is relatively well-staffed against other homes we have used. Sadly my mother died in St Anne's but at this crucial time we were
kept very closely informed by the staff and because of this we were able to spend her last hours together. I will always be grateful to them for this. My father is now alone in St Anne's and has vascular dementia. He is not always the easiest person to deal with and the staff again do a great job in difficult circumstances. I have no hesitation in recommending St Anne's.
Reply from Rob C, Director at St Anne's Care HomeEveryone at St Anne's took great pleasure in reading your review. We were really happy to support your mother and yourself through her loss, and to be able to continue to look after your father. Thank you for the recommendation.

My mum was resident in St Anne's after discharge from the hospital last year. The care she received while there had the result of giving us an extra year with her and for that, we are eternally grateful. Every single member of the staff there treated mum like a family member and nothing was too much
trouble for the staff with regard to mum. She was looked after in a way we would never have been able to at home and she felt loved while there. Visiting mum at any time of any day was not difficult and we were always made to feel very welcome whenever we did visit. If your relative is lucky enough to have a place in St Anne's you can rest assured that they will receive the very best care, food, support from everyone involved in their care. Thank you for taking such good care of my mum.

My father has been a resident of St Anne's since January 2014. As a family, we are very glad that he is in the care of the professional staff at the home and we are confident that he is well looked after and all his needs are met. As we don't live locally it makes it convenient to be able to call in
whenever we can and my father is always clean, comfortable and well-fed. There is always a friendly atmosphere and a real 'family' feeling amongst the staff who are always willing to spend time giving us a catch up on my father is. Highly recommended!

St Anne's found a room for my 103-year-old Mother, assessed her and admitted her all on the same day when she was at a low ebb. She received kind and diligent care, enjoyed a room with a view over the garden, appreciated the cooking and soon recovered much of her strength. I recommend St Anne's with
confidence.

Our sister stayed at St Anne's.
We were very happy with the service.
She enjoyed her time and the team were very caring.
They appear well trained and have lots of time for the residents.
We moved her from another home nearby which was bigger and the team had less time for her.
At St Anne's the
staff really try and made her feel like she was at home, in a safe environment.
Great value for money.
Very happy.

Current Review Score: 7.6 (7.551)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 7.6 (7.551) out of 10 for St Anne's Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.3 out of 5 from 1 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.3 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.273 for St Anne's Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (6 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 11 Ratings = 4.273
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.278 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for St Anne's Care Home is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 = 3
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 18 registered maximum number of service users is 3.6. 1 Positive Reviews ÷ 3.6 = 0.278
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
