Westbourne Tower, a premium provider of dementia care, nursing care and residential care, is ideally situated within easy access to the centre of Bournemouth.

Rooms dedicated to respite stays following a hospital visit or when your carer is on holiday. The care home has 114 beds and on-site nursing facilities.

The care home is located a short distance from the centre of Bournemouth, offering a wide range of accommodation options and beautiful, wheelchair-friendly landscaped gardens designed for a gentle stroll or relaxing walk. Pet-friendly, so your four-legged friends can also move in.

A passionate and dedicated team ensure all residents’ individual needs and requirements are met; whether that is arranging for your favourite meal to be created by the in-house chef or arranging activities for you to enjoy.

Westbourne Tower encourages residents to stay active, make new friends, nurture interests, learn new skills and pursue favourite hobbies. The Activities Co-ordinator arranges exciting events, trips and onsite activities so there is always something to do.

My mum has been here for about 6 months - year. All of the staff are very attentive and actually care. They are all friendly and lovely, especially the activities man and the BOC are extremely helpful. My mum is now safe and it is a big weight off my mind knowing she is fed and happy. Lots of trips
to go on, food is good and rooms are well decorated. I have sung their praises many times.

Very impressed by the attitude of the staff, no rush, just steady patience. The use of Christian names and a feeling of friendship and understanding. The meals are practical and service excellent. Accommodation is of a high standard and I am leaving with my two-week stay feeling so much younger than
my present age of 88. If I should need any other respite in the future, I will use this home. Value for money? Yes!

We received a warm welcome from the moment we walked in the door and the care provided by the team on Dad's floor has been exceptional. The staff all seem very happy and are all prepared to go the extra mile for Dad, especially during the critical settling in period. There are plenty of activities taking
place and food is also very good. The most impressive thing however, is the sheer number of staff on hand at any time of the day and their willingness to help with any need or query. They are all wonderful and can't thank them enough!

Should be recognised for an award of excellence!!


Words are inadequate to express our gratitude and commendation for the top-quality, genuine care and love mum received.
Sunrise provided the surety of mum’s safety and happiness when we were away - underpinned with excellent communications.

Staff know and understand their residents, they take time and effort to do so. They offer an environment where the energy and positivity offered by all staff is infectious. They are tireless in their efforts to make everyone comfortable, safe and enjoy their living. Just like any family, this is not always easy but staff achieve this with humour and diligence.
The palliative care offered was outstanding. Staff ensured mum had a comfortable, peaceful passing with her family, we too were cared for throughout this sad time
Family & care home were one – the staff are amazing, committed and special.
Thanks to Management for doing so in such a knowledgeable, efficient, friendly manner.

My relative has been a resident at Sunrise for just 2 weeks and in that time, I have seen a vast improvement. She came from another care home where she was very depressed and her memory was failing.

Sunrise of Westbourne took my Nan in after some hospital visits changed her normal carers capabilities. Her time here has been incredible, full of life, fun, company and great food. Being able to have our entire family join our Nan for a big family meal is a pleasure. We weren't expecting to be able
to enjoy all together.
The activities have really helped Nan with her mobility and confidence and are delivered in such a great way. Highly recommend.

Following a short stay in a hospital, my neighbour needed good care and her well-being to be monitored. Sunrise ticked the boxes. Within a few hours and at short notice she was accepted into Sunrise. This is a massive step for her and initially, it will be for 2 weeks respite. We look forward to the

All the carers whatever their particular part in aiding the resident and their visitors are very helpful and kind making life much easier and happier for one's advancing years. I have visited resident many times over the past 2 1/2 years. He is always very happy and content. The staff are always cheerful and ready to help if needed.
All parts of the home are very clean and comfortable at all times. I have eaten in the restaurant many times and have always enjoyed my meals.

My Mum has only been at Sunrise for a few weeks but from the minute we walked through the door there was a warm welcome. Anything we needed and questions have always been quickly sorted. All staff have been so caring and friendly. Mum has settled for more quickly than I expected. The home itself is

Although I already had the skill set I was working as a Bank Chef alongside my own business and was asked to take on the managerial role which was an easy transition. I trained and worked in London, Morocco, France and Italy before returning to the UK and settling in Bournemouth. My food specialities are multicultural and the residents love it when I do theme days. I have been a major part of this home being awarded CQC Outstanding, the CQC assessor loved my secret ingredient “ a bit of love”. I run a monthly Dining Committee where residents can influence what is on the menu, likes and dislikes and I love nothing more than walking around the dining room on a daily basis to ensure their wishes have been followed. I like to surprise residents with their favourite dishes, for special occasions. I have to say I love my job and my residents make me smile every day. I am proud to say I work here.

I am delighted to have been recently appointed for this important role, in delivering a varied, stimulating and educational programme for our residents. I like to think outside the box and ongoing feedback from our residents, it enables my talented activity team to deliver, along with our team of amazing volunteers. I bring to the role my experience of managing teams, Interior Design, Floristry, Art, and Teaching and I even played table tennis for Wales! I am inspired by talking to our residents and finding out what they enjoy and what makes them smile, whether that's an entertainer, Tai Chi, Music Therapy, Camera or Theatre Club or 1 to 1 person-centred activities. 110% is put into everything we do here.

I have worked in the care sector since 2012, predominantly in dedicated dementia homes. I have been in co-ordinating positions since 2016. I am currently studying to become a Nursing Associate and my ultimate goal is to become a Registered Nurse. I am passionate about person-centred care and ensuring that our residents live their lives as well as they wish, always upholding their wishes and preferences.

In my personal life, I am married and live in Southbourne. I love the beach, especially in the autumn. In my spare time, I love to read criminal and mystery books and take walks down the beach. I am also an unashamed Harry Potter fan.
