The home is always warm and welcoming. My wife has chosen to stay here due to the great care she receives. Staff are very kind and jovial. Activities are very good - involve my wife and just recently took her to a pantomime. They are now planning her 50th Birthday party.

My husband always enjoys spending the day at The Aldbury. He takes part in all the activities they provide, like chatting with the others, staff and residents alike. It is good that he has other company rather than just being with me at home. It gives me some respite too.

Our relative moved to the Aldbury in June 2023. This care home is absolutely amazing. The care is second to none, nothing is too much trouble. The carers, therapists and nurses are always there to answer any questions we may have. the communal areas are kept very clean and beautifully decorated. Our

Overall, the experience we have had so far at The Aldbury has been excellent. I find all the staff friendly, enthusiastic, kind and caring, from housekeeping, entertainment and nursing through to management. The activities laid on for all the residents really help engage my husband, and I appreciate
also being included in many of these, so I can see how everything works. The only area of concern is the rise in costs and as my husband can no longer go out on any trips and struggles with a lot of the activities, the value for money is a concern.

My mum has been at The Aldbury for ten months now and we have been so happy with the care given to her. The home itself is always spotlessly clean, the staff are incredible and show so much respect and kindness to the residents. My mum was very reluctant to move into a home but she is now so content
and comfortable. The food is wonderful, especially the cake! She loves it!

The Aldbury has a very safe environment and is very accessible for families to visit. Communication is very good. The reception area keeps up to date with calendars and magazines which have articles of activities. I recently went with Mum who is a permanent resident there, to the coronation garden party,
well attended by residents and their families. Many events happen daily, arranged by the activities team.
Once a month a senior clinician shares a health review for Mum. I can speak with a carer about Mum's care at any time.
Mums hair always looks beautiful after a visit to the salon, due to the care of the stylist, who brings out the best in residents. I visit once a week and find nobody is too busy to stop and answer questions. The carers are genuinely happy looking after Mum with affection and helping her have a fantastic experience.
The Aldbury is an excellent, care home, which I have experienced first hand as a relative and Mum is very happy and well looked after there.

My mum has just passed away and spent the last year of her life at this wonderful care home. The staff were always helpful and friendly. There were activities every day and Mum got to do things such as dancing and gardening that she had been able to do when at home. An important thing for Mum was to
look nice and having her hair done every week gave her such a sense of self-worth and respect.

When my parents reached the point of needing to move into care, it was a very stressful and worrying time. The staff at The Aldbury made the whole process as good as it possibly could be, showing understanding, professionalism and high levels of care and support for both my parents and us as a family.
The home is bright, clean, positive and full of care and respect. The regular staff know my parents well. There is a wide range of interesting activities and outings and the food is fabulous home cooking, which my parents love. We have great communication with all the team; the nursing team have relieved us of so many worries and we feel confident that they are so well cared for both physically and emotionally. We particularly appreciate the person-centred approach and flexibility - enabling us to visit any time, share celebrations etc in what feels like a luxury home from home. We are constantly impressed with the quality of life The Aldbury has enabled my parents to achieve.

The manager and staff are very approachable and work well together as a team.
The staff are friendly and go the extra mile to help the residents.
The cleanliness of the home and the residents is excellent and the residents are well cared for.
I am very pleased with how Mum is looked after at this
care home and would recommend it to other families looking for dementia care for their relatives.

My mother has been at this care home for the last six months and has been happy there. I was concerned at first that she may have found it difficult, being the only ethnic person there, but they have shown her a great deal of care and affection; I actually think that she has taught them quite a few
things about her culture.
I have had a couple of issues, but the care coordinator listened and promised to deal with them immediately. No matter where you are, there will be issues you are concerned with, but the important thing is to have them listened to and fixed.
On the whole, really happy with The Aldbury.

My Mum stayed at The Aldbury for a month's respite care and she loved it. We as a family were most impressed with the staff and the care they provided. Since April 2018, we as a family have used a total of 4 local Care Homes to provide short term respite stays for my grandmother. The Aldbury has been by far our favourite and the reason why we return. The building itself has a lovely homely feel to it. It is far from clinical, is light and spacious,
and has plenty of outdoor space, which is particularly important to Nanny, who is a real sun worshipper. The staff seem very attentive to Nanny and genuinely pleased to see her when she returns. The quality of the activities and trips also seem very good, and the family are kept abreast of this by phone, email and on social media, which is really reassuring. Nanny seems relaxed and happy when we visit, and largely well presented (which from personal experience of caring for her, is no mean feat!). It also feels that our instructions and requests are listened to and actioned to the very best of the staff’s abilities.
We are extremely happy with the Care that Nanny receives here.

So glad my mum is at the Aldbury. Her dementia is advanced and so her capacity is limited but the staff make a real effort to bring joy to her life, to understand her and communicate with her. She is still able to go out on trips to see her beloved sea and she loves the garden. When occasionally I have
a concern, I raise it and the staff act fast to resolve the situation. Thank you Team Aldbury.

My mum spent four weeks in The Aldbury. I was really impressed with how quickly she settled in. The staff were always welcoming and kind. It was easy to arrange visits, and we enjoyed our time sitting on the bench under the vine or exploring the garden. Mum joined in a number of activities, including
baking. She allowed staff to help her with her personal chair and enjoyed a haircut. This is all down to the compassion and care she received.
